actors and actresses, blog posts about british actresses, everyone can build a castle, family stars, famous people, Inspiring stories, legends, stars, stars of our time, true stories, wordpress blog, wordpress life coaching site

I apologise first of all for this post being late, as I want to do these weekly but am a week behind so they may be two of these posts this week. It is my Inspiring Stories post where I like to share those that have inspired me, and this week it is Aunty Joany Sims. She looked like my Nan Rose, but that is because they were related, I know someone will dispute that but it is true. I loved her.

She was a stunning woman and was destined to be a star. She was a rarity in that she went to stage school, the first one ever to be build and created in England and in London, and what made her so wonderful she never forgot her routes and is a girl from my own neck of the woods being family, Chelsea London.

Carry On Blogging!: Joan Sims is On The Up

Here she is with her on screen son Dennis Waterman and was taken in between filming and why Uncle Dennis and Aunty Joan could have been mother and son for real. Her charactor Mrs Wembley, stood out like a lot of her roles she played and where she would say her famous catchphrase as Mrs Wembley “Just The One”, and was one of her favourite programmes she done and why she loved being in comedies rather than serious shows.

I’d like to say for the record was one of the people who I saw make it and helped me believe I would one day too. She was a local girl and loved performing in bars and clubs, and was never tarty in anyway and was very much a womans woman, who believes elegance was better.

Aunty Joan was like Uncle Bark in that she could play very wellspoken posh roles and typical London girl roles and loved her cups of tea and her tiple “G&T” (Gin and Tonic) just like my Nan, on my dads side and wrote many of the scripts for her characters, if she felt they needed to be tweaked and liked to blend in a show than just put in as a special star guest.

Joan Sims (Creator) - TV Tropes

Aunty Joan When she was in the Prime of her career starting 1935 to 1992

She like many actors and actresses began on stage doing many plays like the first stage production of “My Fair Lady”, “Oliver Twist” and “Me and My Girl”. She did suffer like me with lack of self confidence, but she never allowed it to effect her acting and would literally click into charactor as soon as she passed the stage curtain onto the stage.

Like those who love being on stage, saw it as her second home and became second nature, it was mainly Press photos and interviews she struggled with, and even up to when she was was middle aged, found these difficult as she felt comfortable when in charactor than being herself off stage in front of cameras.

In the Carry on films she was very weary at first because of sharing any nudity, and stated that she would be happy to be in the films but remain fully clothed in the films and became one of the well known faces of those films. Sid James saw her as a sister along with Kenneth Williams and many others in those films and was able to have a private life aswell.

She liked being mum and aunty to her family and being a normal Londoner and have a Roast Dinner on a Sunday.

Aunty Joan was very much grounded woman and never let fame get the better of her and embraced it at the same time. She did attract many fellow actors but even this didn’t stop her from having a normalish life and that what set her above the rest.

I loved her and idolised her a lot. She could sing, dance and act, and when she did she lit up every theatre, film and production she ever set herself in.

She was a wonderful woman and had a brilliant personality and it was seen when she performed and will be known as the “Woman who always shone on camera”. Here are some of her wonderful roles on TV.

I will be back again this week with another star who inspired me, and memory lives on.

be kind and find laughter in sadness, Being happy, everyone can build a castle, life coaching blog, looking after your wellbeing, Midweek chat video, project 2021, related articles, self help blogs, wordpress blog, wordpress blogger, Wordpress site, youtube video about finding laughter in your passed and present experiences

So as part of my Project 2021, which is a Life Coaching Programme I am putting together to help you my readers of my blog post try to have a better year than last and with that I want to put up a lot of Slogans too, and here I show a Slogan on one of my jumpers from Amazon, which Says “Be Kind” and is featured in my first Project 2021 video.

This first Youtube Video dedicated to this programme Project 2021 is about using Laughter to help make you feel better about passed issues and events, and can help you feel better about the things that once bothered you. Laughter is a great source of medicine to being more happy about life.

I will be adding this footage to the Online Course I want to do too, dedicated to this Life Coaching Programme, and I have linked my first blog on this site about 2021, below, so go ahead and see the link which includes the link to my dedicated Facebook Group too.

https://everyonecanbuildacastle.com/2021/01/04/project-2021/

Please read this article that came up on my Laptop today about a kid who tried to con the Tooth fairy:

Mum left laughing after daughter tries to ‘scam’ the tooth fairy with a Tic Tac

Being able to laugh at situations can really help you through the days and weeks, and when I have days where I feel a bit down, I try to find items that will make me laugh and feel better.

It is a great source of happiness and those endorphins aren’t to be missed but taken advantage of, and you will soon be happier about things that have taken place in your life, which at first seemed to be the hardest moments; I find writing items in my books that I found humorious to be a great way to do that, as well as sad times, and sometimes writing sad stories you can still add a comical stamp on it.

So keep going, stay strong and never give up believing.

Many thanks for reading,

This post is for my new Programme I have created called Project 2021, giving a lot of Life Coaching Tools and Information, and will be put up on my Pinterest page and my Facebook book I have created for it too; See below at the end of this post:

Here are my Top Ten Life Coaching Tips:

1). Listen to empowering music that gives you that inner strength of, lets have a good day. It is one of the things I do as soon as I wake up, and helps me to wakeup slowly and look forward to the day

2). Find someone that inspires you. I first learned about Life Coaching when I was feeling lost and I came across a site which had some short videos of people talking to a guy on the stage Called Tony Robbins and I was so takenaback as he would have some audience members telling him their story and to find help from him of how to deal with certain situations. Such as a relationship breakdown, how to stop feeling stuck in a rut and were looking for support in their difficult situation. When he spoke it did feel like he was also talking to me, and has inspired me no end. You need to find those that helps to bring your confidence out and not make it complicated. So someone even if it s an actor or singer that brings a smile to your face and gives you everlasting energy

3). Change your routine. If your bored of doing the same thing everyday, then change it and do something different in your days. This may mean coming out of your comfort zone, but it will give you better energy to stick with the change of routine, and if there is something you have always wanted to do, then do it

4). Don’t let Lockdown stop you from having a good day. So if you feel you need to go out then do, if you want to see a friend then do. If they live far away but you have a way to contact them, then go ahead and why not download Zoom and have a meeting where you can see each other, grab a coffee and have a well earned chat

5). Never give up on love. Sometimes it is hard to come by and I have learned last year that those who would make out they adored you, sometimes used it to disguise their hatried towards me and so I pulled away and I felt so relieved by doing so. Often people like that can make you feel inadequate. If your gut instinct tells you, “no they aren’t really my friends”, if they give a smirk or look like they may be talking behind your back, then don’t waste your time with them. Find those who make you feel important in their life and that your friendship with you is valued

6). Spend more time with your family. We can get so lost in our work, especially at home, but taking two hours a day to spend with your kids, whether it is baking, playing a board game or watching a TV programme. We can often feel unfulfilled by our work, when we don’t get to spend time with those we love, so take that time and then go back to your work later

7). Write a letter to those that have passed away in your life and say the things you wish you had wanted to say, but never got the chance to when they were alive and it will heal the pain of their lose. I am gutted that I never got to see my dad before he died, and it was like a thud when it hit me. At first it didn’t sink in, and then at his funeral it did, and I felt so sad that my words were never heard by him, and losing a parent that once protected you, is hard to face. I still go over it, and I think that regret will always be there, but I have found, that listening to music he loved and I did too, gives me comfort and I haven’t done this yet written a letter, as you do have to be ready too, but will as I think I need to get out what I had wished to have said and then it is there

8). Get to know who you are. This took me a while to know who I really was, and by doing many things in my life, like writing, listening to music, reading and watching TV and Youtube, made me get to know who I was. I am someone who can be quiet, enjoys her own company, but likes good relationships to the point all I want to do is be with them non stop and when I let my hair down I go for it. I have never been someone who slept around, or did drugs, but I just liked to go out, dance, with friends and get other people to enjoy themselves too and just be me.

9). Stop competing with your self. I have often done this and had many people in my life, acting as if they can do anything and be good at, to score a point over me, judging if I could or not. I never point score, but have found I have had to catch myself, as those types of people can suck you in. Be your bestfriend and not an enemy

10). Reward yourself. If you have exercised or taken up a new skill, then reward yourself and give yourself credit. I can be so critical of myself that I sometimes have to say “Look shut up and let me be”. We do need to be kinder to ourselves and when you do something that made you smile then have that well earned alcoholic drink, or takeaway. Lets just live without having regret or feelings of guilt and have a happier life than before

Hello and welcome! So it is another Lockdown. Yeah, Boris really knows how to fuck up a year that has just started, but hey ho, that’s what happens when we have a Pandemic, which seems is going to effect us in a big way, as it means that once again, those who are elderly and are alone, will stay alone, and that is nothing to be thankful for.

Depression and Older Adults | National Institute on Aging
Image from: https://www.nia.nih.gov/sites/default/files/inline-images/depression-and-older-adults-inline.jpg

So I say still go round and see them, even if it is half an hour of the day, and take them a cake or a pie, or give them some flowers. They are the people I think about, when this kind of thing happens, and they are forgotten about.

I feel that many industries will be effected like Football who rely a lot on supporters buying their season tickets each season and bums on seats. Also, the Chelsea Pentioners who are ex-servicemen, love going to football matches and is time for them to be out for two hours or so, so they will miss out aswell. We do need to help the elderly and those extra vulnerable when it comes to having a complete Lockdown.

What it may do though, is keep people out of hospitals, and eventually I hope that the numbers of those with COVID will go down, but the question that comes into my head, is how do they know it is COVID if they still unable to test everybody?

I am going to leave that question there, but if you have an answer please tell me. There is a comments section below.

I am going to use this time, to inspire and talk about those who do inspiring things, and especially through Lockdown of last year. First off, I would like to say a Thank you, to the one and only Gary Barlow, who was making some great videos, having some famous artists sing with him, with the joy of social media, (see below link to his Youtube channel):

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC-71RgMcyS02ObeFXg81SAw

Then there are other Youtube channels where people have still been sharing there home life. The one lady I love to watch, is CraftyGirl. She does daily videos of her life, along with some DIY videos, and Kerry Whelpdale, who does a lot of meal ideas videos. See link to their Youtube channels below:

https://www.youtube.com/user/CheapCraftyGirl

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UChTqcq9E-5V3_UaB2FuqIcw

Being in Lockdown, we should all pull together and create magic via the social channels and Davina McCall has create a website called: Own Your Goals, and is brilliant. I have signed up to it, and you can still exercise without going too far, so please check this out, as there are loads of workouts from 5 to 35 minutes to choose from, and why not still invite a friend round so you can do a home workout together.

I have also, used this time, to create a new Programme called Project 2021, which will consist of life coaching materials, to help people have a better year and accomplish more than they could dream of. It isn’t about hard work, as I don’t want that myself, but having a life full of fun, laughter and accomplishment. See details about this programme in the link below:

https://everyonecanbuildacastle.com/2021/01/04/project-2021/

I have created a worksheet for this Programme, so see file below which is free to print off and I will add this to my Pinterest board which is also dedicated to Project 2021:

my-goals-worksheet-2021-as-part-of-my-project-2021Download

There will be more to come, as we continue through this year including an Online Course.

So I hope you have a good day today, and you can also join my Project 2021, Facebook group via the link below:

https://www.facebook.com/groups/672751560073670

Please stay strong and stay safe, and look after each other as we get through this New Year Lockdown.

Many thanks for reading,

Carrie (L.M) X

Hello and welcome! First of all thank you for all your lovely comments on my posts and for following me on this site and getting me to 100 followers. It really does mean the world to me, and helped me get through 2020.

I feel in some way I should make a speech, but as I am a rambler a lot, I won’t spare you the pain.

So it is 2021 a New Year:

I have come up with a new programme called PROJECT 2021, which will include,

  • Goals
  • Habits
  • Targets
  • Prioritizing
  • Building
  • Creating
  • Learning

To do all these things you need to paint the picture. Now I am no Vanguff, in fact far from it, but nevertheless, when I set a goal I also create the picture, and map out the things I wish to accomplish whether it be writing a new book or try a different type of exercise routine, I map it out.

I suppose you can say that it is a form of brainstorming, and the one method you can do is like a road map and marking out each milestone you achieve as you continue on the road, to reach the ultimate target, and goals should have an end result.

To get much more out of a New Year, you should always prioritse, as the other important thing, which I talk a lot about on this site and will be getting you to focus on a lot, is having down time. Time where you stop work and you schedule in time to play with the kids and have a family meal together. That is just two examples.

I have been guilty in working all through the days and weeks, because I get so ingrosed in my work that often I forget to do this too. It should be top priority aswell as the work you need to get done or exercising for example.

Life is about making the most of the time and days, as much as possible, and that is not putting 25 things down for a day, but keep to a minimal list, so you have a purpose and a goal each day, and doing the things you love aswell as the things you have to do.

Here is my Pinterest board with some material I have pinned that will help you get involved in Project 2021, as I have added some articles and pins, with many Life Coaching tools, and more will be added as I continue to help you grow this year, like never before.

So to begin please join my facebook group and follow my Pinterest page above, and you will have full access to these materials, and there will be an online course created for this programme, with Youtube Video Content and some EBooks too.

Please check out my Facebook Group page which you can join and be part of my Project 2021, here is the link below:
