Hi its that time of the month for my Monthly Newsletter which has details of what I have been doing and what is to come within my content. I talk about monthly challenge for February and about setting goals, targets and habits. See it below which you can download.
It has been a while since I last did a book review, and have an All About Books’ video coming, (check out my previous video I did) and will be on my main Youtube channel as I finished two books this month and still challenging myself to read a book a month and got in the habit of reading before I go to bed again, rather than travelling.
This book review is talking about the High 5 Habit by Mel Robbins. I listened to it on audible because I find it easier when it is a self help book and when ever my son does something good we high 5 and I have begun to high five myself in the mornings and give myself credit rather feel bad about myself.
She spoke such sense and doing habits like not having my phone by my bed, because it can affect how we wakeup in the mornings and it has made a difference as I do sleep for a longer and make sure I have a good nights sleep. I no longer allow my son to take his tablet to bed and this has made a difference as he can fall a sleep quickly and for a lot longer, because he wakes up really early in the week, and not have his tablet too early in the morning and we both sleeping in, which I need at the weekends because of the travelling I do each week and need it to wake up better and get stuck planned down and use my weekends to take my son out and not feeling tired the whole day.
So check it out and I would give in 10 out of ten and the good thing about audible (I am not sponsored) you keep the books in your library and forever and go back to them, which those like the High 5 Habit because I like to listen to these types of books again.
If you know of more books that I like it, please recommend by filling in the comments below.
Hello, so it is December the 31st and yes it is going to be a regular each year to publish a book at the end of the each year.
My book Mum&Me is now published.
It is a comedy and is about a Mum and a daughter who live together and get on each other nerves and have a different opinion on most things that leads to arguments. Elizabeth Mum is continuously ordering items from TV shopping channels and online and not what she thought they were and Elizabeth guest bedroom is full of boxes, but when it comes to Bucci Tits Gloria they always reunite as she is Elizabeth’s arch rival.
I want the book to be a good cozy read and go lovely for winters day or the summer, with a cup of tea or coffee or even a cocktail and have a good laugh.
Yes, yes and yes, tomorrow is the last day, and want to document it and to say thank you for reading my blogs and liking my content, I want it to reach out to you. I love being part of the blogging world and it has been one of the most amazing experiences I have ever discovered. This is not a goodbye, as next it will be my “Summer Project 2022”.
I never knew what Life Coaching was, and so when feeling low and felt my life wasn’t going anywhere I discovered Tony Robbins and has changed how I see my life. I am bopping at the moment listening to Jess Ware “Please” and it such a feel good song, and if you have had a bad day or a busy one, then put on some tunes and enjoy. I see music as poetry and connects me to the world and grown up using music as therapy and to mark different parts of my life.
Reading books is my next love and one that I would not do without, and love reading whilst travelling to wait for son to return from school and I do videos on my Youtube called All About books on my channel,
Typical London Gal, and review the books I have read and trying to read one a month and so important to help me write my own books. I do have quite a few, on amazon.com under my two names, Carrie Challoner and Carrie Holmes.
I then next thing is taking a shower each day and my first tea of the day and coffee. I don’t feel right when I don’t have these items, and would not change a thing. They help me function and so why change that? I know they say Caffeine is bad for you, but I feel it has benefits, I do drink decaf tea, but with coffee no. I love the kick it gives me so why change that? It is good to have things that you enjoy.
The next thing I enjoy is listening to podcasts and been listening to these on a daily basis. The ones I have been listening to, is Mel Robbins and Vern Cotton.
I do enjoy exercise to and do a short workout, just six exercises and then walking, and playing out in the garden with my son. I don’t do complicated or too extreme, but just enough to feel the results. If you don’t already, and you’d like to be updated when I post on this site then you can do that by following me and I do write other blogs too, see the links below:
On Thursday it was World Book Day, and my son dressed like a mouse because of the book called, Gruffalo, one of his favourite books and reads the story himself.
We can get so much from it and celebrate the great writers of the world and what we can learn from them. Being a writer myself it can take time to write a book, and it often gets forgotten how long it takes, and I think we have gotten into the place in this world where anyone can write one, and it can be a kids or an adult book, but connect with people and you can learn so much.
Like the book Wild, which became a film, with Reece Wetherspoon and where she walks the Crest Trail and is a true story and she comes across a lot of hurdles but she needed to do it to help go over her life, as she had gotten into drugs, and shows how drugs can effect the mind, and how you can overcome the things that have happened in the passed.
I discovered Harry Potter books when I was sleeping in a member of my families room and they were there and, I just picked it up on a whim, and once I started to read the first one I couldn’t stop, and reaching out to people via book is so rewarding for both the writer and the reader.
I love a variety of books, like thrillers, true stories, comedy and chick flicks and detective books. I like books based in the 40’s, or before then or after, and just love now travelling on the bus and read, with a coffee in my hand and I feel comfort from them.
A book has to be good from the start to finish, and really resonate with me and gets in touch with my emotions. Reading a book is a great habit to have, and I love buying books and being given books as gifts, or just because that person handing the book over, had recommended the book to me and really good to form friendships. I used to lend books to colleagues and someone gave me some books that they never read. These were all books by Tony Robbins which I still need to finish reading.
So lets celebrate books and how they can teach us so much without a certificate in the subject but learned different things, and how to get started when reading and writing, and remember the simple ideas can be the greatest thing you have done.
Hello and welcome! Thank you to those already liking my blog I did yesterday, I now have a brand new free EBook, my first one of many for 2022 and my first Newsletter with a quote of the month and about challenges that are coming up and this Newsletter will be monthly and this is the first one ever and first one of 2022.
Hello and welcome! So it is another Lockdown. Yeah, Boris really knows how to fuck up a year that has just started, but hey ho, that’s what happens when we have a Pandemic, which seems is going to effect us in a big way, as it means that once again, those who are elderly and are alone, will stay alone, and that is nothing to be thankful for.
So I say still go round and see them, even if it is half an hour of the day, and take them a cake or a pie, or give them some flowers. They are the people I think about, when this kind of thing happens, and they are forgotten about.
I feel that many industries will be effected like Football who rely a lot on supporters buying their season tickets each season and bums on seats. Also, the Chelsea Pentioners who are ex-servicemen, love going to football matches and is time for them to be out for two hours or so, so they will miss out aswell. We do need to help the elderly and those extra vulnerable when it comes to having a complete Lockdown.
What it may do though, is keep people out of hospitals, and eventually I hope that the numbers of those with COVID will go down, but the question that comes into my head, is how do they know it is COVID if they still unable to test everybody?
I am going to leave that question there, but if you have an answer please tell me. There is a comments section below.
I am going to use this time, to inspire and talk about those who do inspiring things, and especially through Lockdown of last year. First off, I would like to say a Thank you, to the one and only Gary Barlow, who was making some great videos, having some famous artists sing with him, with the joy of social media, (see below link to his Youtube channel):
Then there are other Youtube channels where people have still been sharing there home life. The one lady I love to watch, is CraftyGirl. She does daily videos of her life, along with some DIY videos, and Kerry Whelpdale, who does a lot of meal ideas videos. See link to their Youtube channels below:
Being in Lockdown, we should all pull together and create magic via the social channels and Davina McCall has create a website called: Own Your Goals, and is brilliant. I have signed up to it, and you can still exercise without going too far, so please check this out, as there are loads of workouts from 5 to 35 minutes to choose from, and why not still invite a friend round so you can do a home workout together.
I have also, used this time, to create a new Programme called Project 2021, which will consist of life coaching materials, to help people have a better year and accomplish more than they could dream of. It isn’t about hard work, as I don’t want that myself, but having a life full of fun, laughter and accomplishment. See details about this programme in the link below:
I have created a worksheet for this Programme, so see file below which is free to print off and I will add this to my Pinterest board which is also dedicated to Project 2021:
Hello and welcome! Thank you so much for your loyal company and liking and following my blogs on this site, it really is a breath of freshair when I see that you have followed me and liked my posts.
In this post I am doing My Review of 2020 which I am going to do each year. My Review of 2020 is very mixed I started it by being a bit of a state to the point I was fighting and taking the pisss out of those that were trying to hurt me.
I lost a few people this year too, and was devastated. Kelly if you can hear me I love you to bits and I know what she’d say:
“See ya later allegator”
“Right back at ya Croccidile”.
Do I believe in recarnation? Yes because there was a little girl in South Park Gardens that looked just like Kelly as a little girl and she looked at me like Kelly did when she was a baby, and it did bring me to tears, but saw Kelly in this little girl and prayed, that if that is her, that she lives on and has the life she wants, and not taken away so cruelly.
I found my true love, and he has been a breath of freshair and has saved me in so many ways. I love everything about this guy and he makes me feel fullfiled every time we talk and see each other.
I started to write music again, which I hadn’t done in a long time and have a song out that is in an advert.
Many more stars and inspiring people have passed away this year, like Eddie Large, Sean Connery, the wonderful Barbara Windsor and Dame Vera Lynn, check out my posts about few of these people:
I will be writing more about celebrities that I have found inspiring.
I found Barbara Windsor inspiring because she came from a poor background, a family like mine at times, scrimping and scraping but became a household name, and my blogs have grown like I have, and I have learned a lot this year and one is realising that I am gno longer a jealous person, as it was those that were like that, that tried to stop me from one thing I love to do, and that is write my blog posts.
Jealousy can turn someone who was once a lovely person to a worst version of themselves. Check out this blog post which is related to that:
I have seen the good and the bad this year, and just because you have known someone for a long time, doesn’t mean they are loyal, especially if they continue to let you down when meeting up or you know they are slagging you off behind your back.
My marriage came to an end and I moved out to live in Wimbledon and found that my true love was living around the corner from me. It is amazing how you can find true love on your doorstep but yes it is true.
I have written a few books this year, Like the Peabody years, which I took down from Amazon to rewrite as it was quite short and there were a whole load of stories I wanted to add. I wrote a few EBooks this year and if you want to check these out, go to Amazon.com for details or click on the links below,
I want to build my confidence to speak to my camera again to film more Youtube videos. My confidence to film for my Youtube channel plummited and really want to bring this back.
The one thing I didn’t get to do was to go on holiday which I would like for next year and would like to walk more and get up at a reasonable time again, as I am sleeping onto early afternoon or later and that takes over a whole day.
My body clock is all over the place as I don’t sleep at night because I have had a lot of terrible nightmares.
I was put on different medication called Quetipin, as I was suffering a lot with depression this year and at one point very suicidal.
However, I want my blogs to continue to be successful and relative to those who like this blog site.
I want to live life and not exist which I have written in a lot of blog posts this year, but is true. I was with someone who was obsessed with cleaning, but am I going to get remembered for being the person always washed up after herself? NO! I want to be seen as a successful writer who was never afraid to show her feelings to those who she loved and made it clear that no matter how much I put myself down sometimes I do have respect for myself and others.
I want to work on TV and have one of my books made into a TV series and is a real ambition of mine and would like to write and publish more books and want two to be publised by the end of this year.
I have a new Online Course which is a Child Safety course so I will let you know when this is ready to be launched and published.
This post is in relation to one I have posted before, and wanted to touch on this subject again, because still there are people who want to do harm to people, and as far as I am concerned has no place in society when they do so.
Bullies and those that carry out abuse to another human, do posses a certain criteria.
They will blame other people for the abuse they carry out and bullying, whilst carrying on abusing and bullying
often they will diguise themselves as nice people at first to cover up what they will do, once they have won a person over. This overshadows often those who are genuinely nice
They will exclude and put people in a corner so that person has no where to go
A hug or sexual contact is not genuine and false, and is manipulation, and you can tell when they begin to get aggressive or slowly show their violent trait, that they are going to get worse,
If you spot any of these signs,
“Call Out and Get Out”
This Image is for my Abuse and Bullying Campaign
They are just examples above and as far as I am concern they are Cretins.
You may see yourself as a constant target, because you are a good person and they are jealous of everything you do.
Ignore and fight back, but there is a song by, Kelly Clarkson, “What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger”. I remember reading a guys article disputing this line, but it is true because you can come out of the other side, you often spot the signs quicker and find that you do have inner strength, that you never thought you had.
As soon as someone takes jab at me, I will strike a bigger blow and you can do it too, and I do think that they should teach self defence in schools, to help and teach children to be street wise, and be able to fight back.
Can you still run a business when you know there are people against you ?
Absafuckinglutley, and in fact you should in all busnesses you run, if you have staff that work for you, you should have an Anti bullying or abuse policy, so if it carries on, you can deal with it and stop it.
Noone has the right to prevent someone in doing their job or run a business, and those Cretins should be moved on and given an instant Criminal Record, if not banged up in Prison, as soon as it has been proven that they are guilty and for their own safety as they can be their own worse enemy, as there are those that will fight harder and put those in my experience, not saying I have done this, but I know it can happen, in hospital, which really noone wants.
My dad as a kid was fed up of seeing me getting bullied and got me in the Living room and said right, and he gave me some gloves that were mini boxing gloves and showed me how to throw a punch, and it did protect me in the end, and no I don’t condone violence, but you can’t always walk away and I know I have said this a lot in my blogs, but want to keep saying this, because it is true.
So kick out and get those Cretins away from us, and keep fighting, being determined and you will still succeed, where they won’t because they get too caught up in hating people, who can build success and they can’t.
Many thanks for reading,
Carrie X
P.S: If you would like to see what else I like to write about then please, see my video below:
Hello and welcome to my new post. I am going to write these posts, of Inspiring Stories on a weekly basis, and to kick off I want to talk about an Article, written about the female Jewish American Comedian, Joan Rivers.
Part of it is not true, but the struggle to make it a success at first is, as she was written off, before she even made on air, as being a female comedian was true and wanted to talk about Women Troubles, but this was frowned upon when she tried to make it her career.
Play List I have created of some of her Best Bits:
I remember when she was band in Britain from the Royal Variety Show as she was seen as being offensive. She wasn’t by any means, she just said what all of us women thought, but dare not to say out loud.
I wrote a review about her book called, A Diary Of A Mad Diva, If you wish to check this out. I have written many more book reviews see link below:
Joan, is not afraid to make a joke that some may say is controversial, as it is what we are all thinking, and eventually did make it back on UK screens and in the 90’s came back on the Royal Variety show.
She was in her 30’s when she finally made it, and even did stand up when pregnant with her daughter Melissa, that’s how real she was. She didn’t mind taking the piss out of herself, being that she liked having cosmetic surgery and never shied away from it, and was why she was loved so much.
I loved, The Fashion Police and it was a hit show, as she would send celebrities up including herself at times, and her Jewish hertadge.
She had sadness in her life, but like most of us comedians, she never feared of making a laugh and a joke out of it, and was loved in America, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Spain and the UK.
Her story shows that no matter how many people judge, knock you down, you can have the life you want and still make it a success.
