To say I love music is an understatement as every bed time and morning I will spend some time listening to music. I would not live without it.

I have taken breaks from it, but I always go back. In this Inspiring stories I want to talk about the World Of Music, and Excellent writing of songs.

What a song can say to you is personal and can really touch the heart and because even as a kid I have listened to music on my pink record player and then a Hi-Fi, it is hard for me to be specific choosing one out of so many. Writing music has been my love and no many have not been heard by anyone else, and its songs like the Greatest Love of all for example is talking about loving our kids of the world and there is no better love as a parent and as a child.

109 1800s Music Photos - Free & Royalty-Free Stock Photos from Dreamstime

Roy Orbison is for me a prime example who have used music to talk about his life and he did a lot of love songs, and they are so timeless and I have listened to his music a thousand times no lie, and they still feel brand new.

The song Beautiful and I find hard to listen too, but an amazing song, and I was in a bad way last year, that this song reaches me like none other and will always play that apart of my life out. I was having a breakdown, which is the only thing I can call it, but was in the wars, and a song I play when I feel love is slippering away.

A song to me has to give me empowerment and self belief, being someone who struggled wit confidence, and the music Roy Orbinson wrote was in the 60’s and got number ones all over the world, with his amazing voice and lyrics.

Whrn it comes to music I am not someone who plays one type but a load of songs, from Classical to Rock ‘n’ Roll, and Status Quo is still the band that brings the best out of Rock ‘n’ Roll in this era, along with Cliff Richard and Frankie Valli, and they brought a different type of Rock ‘N’ Road, writing music with films and the Bee Gees with their disco tracks for Saturday Night Fever.

My favourite song from the film Grease is the song Hopelessly Devoted and Grease is the word, as it still a great film I love watching and the music is still playe today, as now we have the music stage production too. This is how far music can stretch and why it is in all our lives.

Music really established itself in life gone back when King Edward times and the first song to be played was back in the states and grew across the boarder, and then in Britain it was instruments like the recorder, the fiddle and the violin that were played and in Britain it was drumkits, eletctric guitars, acoustic and now everyone listesns to it, and from looking back it is amazing how it has evolved.

So, choose a song that makes you think and address issues in your life and write a song that you have always wanted to write and make it personal and in touch with you and your love ones.

Inspiring stories: How people have created magic when really it could have flopped

becoming successful, how people have created magic, inspirign stories post, Personal Development, self help blog

Hello and welcome! This is a post I want to create to talk about How People have created magic when really it could have flopped.

Michael K. Williams Quote: “The most successful people reach the top not because they are free of limitations, but because they act in spite of thei...”

So, I normally I will talk about singers, actors, royality, presenters of TV shows and have built up their lives as a life coach. One being Tony Robbins for example. Who else has changed how we go about ourlives?

Philip Schofield who went from being in the broom cupboard on children’s TV to musicals. Joseph and the technicolour dreamcoat and was the first presenter of kids TV that crossed that line and he turned people’s heads. “How can he be in a musical when he would introduce children’s TV and talk to puppets like Gordon the Gopher and Ed the duck?”

Well by being wellknown and becoming a household name. It seemed at the time, that he was surprised he was wanted by Andrew Llloyd Webber, and it was a risk, yet it worked and did change how we saw people on TV. This is not having two many eggs in one basket.

The film philadelphia bought home how Aids was was percieved when it first came about. How prejudice people would get about someone with HIV, yet it won oscars and was Tom Hanks and the writers that bought it into the light, and made it to one of the most famous films of the world.

There was then the Spice girls who were so different to each other and they broke records with their songs and I remember when living in a housing estate seeing girls copying their dance moves. Their pictures would be advised on bus stops and buses, and made a film and got to meet Prince Charles and Nelson Mandela.

Linford Christie and Usain Bolt. Linford was bought up where I was, Hammersmith and was the most successful athlete of all time for Great Britain and England, and Usain Bolt a local Jamican who slept in a hut for most of his life and family was poor.

This teaches me that, just because on paper it says you will end up cleaning streets, doesn’t mean that you will. If there are miles of stones to cross that strength and determination can create magic wherever you go.

It is about being different and standing out and people who create magic do it because they create things like songs that last a lifetime and films. Its created a life that is possible and that you lived like a person already successful.

Magic can be created by anyone and so challenge yourself to create magic as if you’re already doing so.

Hello and welcome! This is a new inspiring video and talking TV magic and classics. So when I say TV magic where I could watch it all day long. Strictly come dancing is one of them, along with This Morning and I loved a game show.

1,768 Beautiful Young Family Watching Tv Photos - Free & Royalty-Free Stock Photos from Dreamstime

There has to be rememberal moments like seeing my favourite double act, Cannon and Ball and they performed on Royal Variety shows, aswell as their own and sitcomes like the greats, Porridge, Only fools and horses, and it is has all stemed from good writing, Directing and producing.

Then there are the detective and crime programmes like Ashes to Ashes and Life on mars and they are ones where you kind of apart of those series and are TV magic.

When TV first came about not everyone had them so they would go round to someones house who did and this was when radio was the main entertainment in homes, which a lot of people called The Wireless.

They would visit Cinemas which were known as “Picture houses” to find out the latest news going on in the world and now every home has Televisions, digital radios, smart devices and Youtube.

Even back as a kid in the 80’s music was the industry that sored and top of the pops was a one of my shows I had to watch every week on a thursday at 7:30pm to find out who was number one in the charts and you’d have records and cassette players and I was allowed eventually a TV in my room and my mum talks about how she regretst this, but TV was what I loved back then and music, so how is it so bad?

I now watch a lot of UK Gold to rewatch some of the classics remembered and I still laugh as if they were made this era and still going strong.

TV is irreplaceable, yet I don’t watch much now I still love to have sometime watching the box.

So do you have any favourite TV magic and classics that you could stil watch? I would love to hear from you by commenting below.

Many thanks for watching,

This blog is all dedicated to my love of Music and as I write it I just tweeted a song of Andy Gibb, called “I just want to be your everything” and Beegees “Secret Love”.

Bee Gees - Wikipedia
image from wikipedia

I loved family bands from a kid and yet their songs are still so current and people remember the names of those in the band and every song they wrote and I always would image me being part of them. I don’t think me and brother would have formed as a band as we are totally different and we argued no lie everyday and had fights a lot as kids, and so glad we never, but doesn’t mean I never dreamed of this being possible and yet often there would be rivalry in family bands, learning about them now I am older and can understand why that was.

This is blog though is not to talk about that side of things because I want this blog to celebrate family bands and about the songs they made and the success they still have today.

So the first one for me was Five Star, and then in the 1987 was when I first discovered the Bee Gees “You win again” and lucky I had a dad who then introduced me to Saturday night fever as this was played a lot in my home and I loved the dance moves and I still listen to Five Star my favourite one being “System Addict” and “Rain or Shine” and had their single records and cassette tapes.

Then there was the Nolans who were a group of sisters who were massive back in the 70′ and 80s and still going but due to Cancer, Bernie lost her life and two others, Linda and Anne are fighting it too, but still household names and were like a normal set of siblings who made it big time in music and still have performed in recent years at the London Palladium. Then of course the Osmonds and including their sister, Marie became stars along with the Jackson 5 and I again I have been to discos whrere their music was playing and everyone was always up dancing to their everlasting music.

I first heard of the Nolans when I would go to a holiday camp in clacton as a small child and I would listen to “I’m the mood for dancing” all day sometimes as my dad loved this song too and I even have the 90’s remix version of the song in cassette and so when my dad would be out I would sneck in the living room to play some of his music too, including this song.

Now it is the 2000’s there aren’t any that I know of, of current family bands and wonder if there will be again a family band in music or has this trend gone now?

Only the world can decide that and I miss a family band and I know there have been family trying to make it big on shows like The Voice, X-Factor and Britains Got Talent, but yet not really made it.

So lets hope that soon there will be a new set of family groups, but still keeping in our minds those that are still alive and well and their music has lived on for longevity and rarely “One hit wonders”. Hence why I love them still today.

Inspiring stories, lady of soul, music artists, music to be celebrated, the price of fame

Hello and welcome! This is my inspiring stories blog sharing the story of The Queen of Soul, Whitney Houston, who had a voice that could sing the phonebook and it sounding incrediable. She had a powerful, gental and its hard to describe really as it would be magical and I would listen to Whitney all day sometimes playing her records, tapes and then CD’s.

I would imagine that her voice was mine and that I wrote them, as they were such great hits and when she died I was devastated as she took a break from music for a while and then came back, and she had so much more to give, that it made me question “How can life workout like that”. Her first album she did rocketed and in the music world that even now it is rare but she did it.

I have all her albums and my favourite song is still for me “The Greatest Love of all” writen by Stevie Wonder, and he released this aswell. but even Stevie couldn’t fault that Whitney’s version put it on the map to success. Stevie Wonder and Whitney did a song together on her album “I’m your baby tonight” and it was a song called “We didn’t know”.

Whitney Houston – All The Man That I Need Lyrics | Genius Lyrics

Whitney was singing at a young age and sang with her mum in a gospal choir and was a true believer of God and her career took off with her very first song “How will I know” and is about how does she know she has found love and does she stand a chance of being in love and she is not sure of the guy wants to be with in love and is hers forever.

I remember hearing from her Second Album she did starting off with the song “I wanna dance with somebody, somebody who loves me” when in Gatwick Airport off to our yearly holiday in Menorca and when I came back bought her second album on Cassette tape and continued to buy her albums, as they were all as good as the last one.

She then changed her music for a while to R&B “That’s not right but its okay” and did as good as the last even though it was a whiles since her soul albums and had a total change of music to make it current.

Whitney Houston - It's Not Right But It's Okay (Official HD Video) - YouTube

Her Cousin that Whitney saw as an Aunt and were so close was, another lady of Soul and Mowtown, Dionne Warwick and she too had a phenominom career as a Music Artist and had many hits that Whitney had good teachers of music in her life, and it was the artists that she collaborated with like George Micheal, Mary J Blige, she had meet that helped cruise herr to the top and those who love her will remain, like me fans forever,

Whitney’s life as a kid wasn’t luxury and were part of a struggling community, that believed in God and music to help them through tought times, like the Partied and racism. She never entetained that and her music was all about Love of everyone including children and love that is unconditional. She like me struggled with reality and continouously battling with herself not feeling good enough.

Many people were surprised by this, but fame does not mean you no longer feel insecure and in fact many who struggle with themselves turn their life around because music, creating records take a lot of work, tells a story which other people can relate to. People who are unconfident in themselves are more passionate and have more drive.

15 Celebs Who Are Related | Whitney houston, Whitney houston pictures, Dionne warwick

Whitney Houston movie career began with the Hit Film The Bodyguard and was about a artist who is at the prime of her career, is targetted because of her fame and received death threats and so Kevin Costner, who plays her bodyguard tries to stop it and Whitney’s charactors isn’t at all impressed at first and is a turbelant relawtionship,

Then she went on to making further films, with music still being her number one passon and marrried another Artist Bobby Brown and they had a daughter together and for while she wasn’t doing so well.

Whitney for me is still a lady of wonderful music and that is how I would like to remember her and I will always listen to her songs as they still give me so much joy and peacefulness.

She was a lady of love and devotion, but sadly the price of fame did arrive and sad that it all ended as there was more to come from her, and did bring out further music but its sad her and her daughter, Bobbi Kristina, left the world as they did.

Thank you Whitney for the music you created with your voice and I miss you but glad your music lives on and for being such an amazing artist of soul.

being a londoner, hammersmith bus garage, inspiring stories weekly post, old stories of my family, wordpress blog of inspiring stories

Hello and welcome! Here is a new Inspiring stories I am talking about the London Buses and travelling round the city of London.

Black and white photo of old London buses Stock Photo - Alamy

This blog was inspired by my Grandad Skinner who worked on the buses as a conductor and did this after the war and worked at the Hammersmith bus garage which was the largest in London and many buses would travelling into London and there was a bus that took you to Chessington zoo and because my mum never drove back then we would jump on many of the buses to see people we knew and have been running since the war and has never turned back.

The London buses back when they first developed in England were known as trolley buses and were two flights the ground floor and top bunk as it was known and were mainly red in colour and travelled all around London and now they still some travel through places like Kent, Middlesex and Surrey.

They never had the small type of bus back then and around the 80’s more of the doubledecker buses were created and slightly different as they would only have a driver not a conductor who took the fares and now bus conductor no longer exists.

There was even a sitcom based “On The Buses” and my grandad was one of the last bus conductors ever on them and still red and still have the double deckers and more buses and routes have changed over the years but can still take you around London and from Central to the outskirts and are now instead of publicily owned they are privately owned and then around the 80’s the unions came out and were part of London Transport.

It goes to show how even buses can be changed in order to keep going and being part of London and now there are buses in most cities and places but the red bus mainly operates in London and why a lot tourists take pictures of.

country leaders, inspired by others, Inspiring stories, looking after the world, real heros of the world

Everyone has their own definition of who is a hero and who is not. For it is someone who willing to put their neck on the line to save other people and I wrote a similar post and Super Human beings and how those who save lives as a living should be honoured.

174 Saving Someone Photos - Free & Royalty-Free Stock Photos from Dreamstime

Lets look around the dictators of the world and there have been many who have been bad like Hitler and Sadam Hussain, yet there have been good ones too.

Eddie Izzard is my first one I would say. Now he is a comedian and he ran a whole lot of Marathons to raise money for charity and for me that is something that he didn’t have to do, but did it as being a famous role model as such, he is in a position where he can like many, use their fame to help those desparate need of support and its people who work in charities to generally raise money that for me are all heros.

Tony Robbins who I have spoken a lot about. He is someone who had a rough childhood and was destined to be a man in the trade like, working in Goldminds but was but no he became world famous. He has done that, helping people have a better mindset to help people through anxiety and depression and has reached over a million people and is a inspiration to us all, and raises money for his charity to “Feed America”.

Jo Biden, the new president of the USA and for me is much better president than Donald Trump because Jo will look after his country and is an ex baseball player who wanted to be involved in politics to do just that and dealing with issues other than COVID and is for me gonna be the best leader this decade.

Bob Geldolf, Midge and other artists bought music and poverty together to stop it and in 1984 created Band Aid and it spread worldwide like the US who did their own song too called “We are the world”. It was played at the same time all over the world and many versions have been created but it was the creation of Band Aid that started it.

Lenny Henry and other comedians created Comic Relief and again grew across the boarder and through selling Red Noses and creating the show have been iconic and saved so many lives across the world.

So who do you think are heros? I’d like to hear your comments below.

inspiring stories weekly post, life changes and competitions, my thirty day writing challenge, talking about sportsmen and women

Thank you so far for those following and viewing my blog posts it really means the world to me, and means that you are helping me produce content that helps you.

Today it is Day 6 and time of my Inspiring stories, that I like to write and post on a weekly basis, and its about Sportsmen and women this week. Wimbledon being on has inspired me aswell as the Euros and these competitions were created when they wanted to expand some sports to other countries and now we have more nationalities playing in football, Tennis and lets not forget the British Lions, who was on last weekend and fighting their place in the British sports and holding their own against sometimes real tough apponenents, and its that special win that can boost the emphasis of these sports.

Olympic Runners Black And White High Resolution Stock Photography and Images - Alamy

It takes often years of practice to be top flight in whatever sport they choose and for a while we were limited to knowing who these boys and girls were cause in the 80’s and 90’s athletics was always on and I new the names of all of the athletes back then, like Sally Gunnell, Linford Christie, Roger Black, Tessa Sanderson you name it I could say what athletics events they all did and where they were from.

With Soccer always be the number 1 English sport has wiped other sports out of the air, but if it happens to be on the Rugby League or indoor athletic competitions then I will still watch them. its that some sports in terms of publicity have gone under the radar a bit, but when the World Champions ships are on or the Olympics I will watch however many sports within those competitions as much as I can.

I love stories where running was initially a hobby that then Stemed into a life long career, like Sally Gunnel who would at first do the 400 metres and then one day her coach laid out some hurdles for her to try and to say she never looked back into was now her event and won many titiles in the 400 metre hurdles.

When I hear the song One Moment In Time sung by Whitney Housten some up these competition within the words as it is like they have One Moment to shine and when they do its like wow “Never saw that coming” and can help boys and girls of other generations getting into these sports too.

The Greeks did well as they created the Olympics in Athens and it become a world phenonenon and the competition to be in.

80s music and fashion, decades of my life, sharing blog about the 80s, true inspiring stories, TV shows in the 80s, weekly inspiring stories post

Hello and welcome to a new Inspiring stories. In this post I am writing about my favourite decade of music, The 80’s as I was a young child and born in 78 and as soon as I am remember I fell in love with music and still I play a lot of songs from the 80’s that brings me so much joy of the memories I have.

The first type of music from the 80’s as I saw it was very original, powerful ballads and some good electronic songs. I forgot that before I became a fan of Dollar and Bucks Fizz I used to listen to Juice Newton who mixed rock with country and western music, and then as I got to the age 5 it then became pop and soul music.

In the 80’s the pop culture was huge with young girls dressing like Madonna and men dressing up as Micheal Jackson who in the 80’s became a sole artist selling over million records and captivated the music industry in a different genre by created inspirational videos one being of course Thriller. It also became a norm when singers like Micheal Jackson and Madonna entered into the film industry to further their careers and then Motown became a sound and musically of its own.

It was when many groups became solo artists like Phil Collins, George Micheal, Freddy Mercury and Micheal Jackson.

Best 1980s Albums - Rolling Stone

With the music came the fashion and many girls dressing up to be like Madonna and it was the last decade to feature ABBA;s music and they would wear differnt outfits we all remember to and then there was the male and female pop groups. The band I ever saw i the 80’s was Bananarama and then Jason Donovan and Kylie Minogue.

Peter Gabriele who was lead singer of Gensis became a sell out solo artist with Sledgehammer and then the Communards, The Cure, A-HA and more and more bands came into the light of fame.

Then came the soaps Eastenders, Emmerdale, Coronation street and Brookside. Corrie and Emmerdale were already soaps when Eastenders came along and some came from the UK TV show called Grange Hill. I knew Vinnie who was in it with Todd Hardy when I lived down the southcoast for a while and then a lot of the Soap actors UK and Australia became popstarts too.

There was also fashion with puff ball skirts and acid t-shirts that then lead into the 90’s and before that you had charity causes with charity songs like We Are The world and the first time all UK bands and singers and the USA came together to raise money for Charity for causes like Comic Relief and it put a lot stars on map having new set of singers and bands.

Then you had theme tunes for comedians, TV Charactors like Sooty and Basil Brush that had their own shows and even went to see them after we had our Wimpy’s that weekend and was when I did dancing an performing at the Syvia Dales Dancing school and then took up Ballroom Dancing and Latin.

It will be my decade that even now I wish I could relive some of it. Not school as I hated it but playing out on my estate using break times at school to sing and dance and would learn words of songs int he charts. Such a fantastic decade of wonderful works of art.

If you like these kind of blogs then please let me know as I will post more and have a great rest of the week.

Inspiring stories: The Years of the English Football League

Blogger, everyone can build a castle, inspiring people, Inspiring stories, life coaching blog

Football and rugby were both from the same sport and was more like handball as they could kick and handle the ball when football first started.

Now it is our leading sport and worth millions that some clubs grew and others went into Administration, example Wimbledon football club then became later on AFC Wimbledon and change split into Milton Keynes football club.

Aldershot went down and Chelsea was sold to Ken Bates in the 80’s and bought the club which was only a pound.

The leagues are now very different when it all used to be Divisions not leagues. The top division was Division one and now is the Premier League, Division two is now the Championship league, League one, League two and Three. All clubs that a top flight have changed the way in running a team, cause managers and players would sign long life contracts and once a play signed a football club contract that would be it and would work through their contract before they left to go to other clubs.

Racism in football: 'It's not black and white' - CNN

The top clubs have changed too and now we see that Chelsea, Spurs, Liverpool, Man City and Man utd are all tops teams and often will go head to head in winning the Premiership, Champions League and still the FA Cup.

See above an old picture of the players under Bobby Robson, who managed English up until 1990 and was one of the longest men in charge of the England team now many from this picture have become coaching, pundits, commentators and presenters, forgetting that these guys all played professional football and created a legacy that still gets talked about today.

Who had thought Gary Lineker who had male admires ad woman too, who was always chosen without hesitation to play club and international football would be a adveriser for Walkers Crisps and now top presenter for BBC and English Soccer.

When Gazza came along then the team changed again and was a player that saw for the first time a guy in tears over a second booking so he wouldn’t have had the chance to play in the World cup final and was one of the best players under Bobby Robson and for Tottenham Hotspur to have played on the English soil.

Maradonna was a leading player for Argentina, when it came to them taking drugs it overshadowed both their capabilities and feel they needed more guidance in their play and not feel that had to do this in order to make a name for themselves.

John Barnes who originally played for Watford started to shine when he moved to Liverpool football club but struggled when playing for England as everyone doubted his performance being a non stop creater and scorer for Liverpool but got a lot of stick from England fans for not being the same.

This can happen but I watched his football and asked “Where was the problem?” I thought his performance was good as he always got involved didn’t shy away from playing international football so for me it was “Well perhaps you are expecting too much” and they was. He had flare and knew how to keep the ball along the field without it being taken back by the other team. I think supporters compare too much at was the issue, as he did put 100% into is game so where again was the problem? He created goals, he passed, he was brilliant at ball control and worked the left side with no issues at all.

When football changed and Sky TV became it became a lot of money to fork out to watch football and it made it very commercialised and took some of the spark of English football away. I loved it on a Sunday when we would have our roast dinner after socialising with friends in a pub in chelsea to then sit down and watch the football it set you up for the weekend and everyone tuned in.

Then you had cable and they too tried to make money from the game but Sky dominated and became the leader of the UK TV world and a massive influence that not all clubs got featured like before. Only FA Cup games would at one time show on normal TV or we’d listen to it on the radio.

When going to visit a real match it was part of the culture and I didn’t care about seats and standing I just loved the atmosphere and being part of the soccer world, and wearing the shirts and sometimes coats and jackets it made the game even more excitable and then when I bought a season ticket and would go on my own it again was brilliant and I loved being with other season ticket holders. You became a community not just a fan base and hearing fans sing it gave me goosebumps and made me fall even more in love with the game.

I will share more inspiring stories on this site and will talk about the Athletics and the Olympics.

Many thanks for reading,

Carrie X
