Hello and welcome! This is the last post as part of my 30 day challenge where I have been posting on this site daily and glad I did. This is it for my daily blogs and thank you for the follows and likes I have received and sorry to bombard your inbox of my posts I just wanted to see if I could do it and to grow my content more but now will go back to posting on this site once a week.
In this post I talking about Changing the Routes to your life from a brainstorm I did before I this challenge and I have already covered on this site about Changing the story of your life and journey which became an EBook check out Amazon.com and under the name Carrie Lee Holmes and making small changes to your life and to do that you do need to make decisions on the route to lead you to having a better life and build it up to an everlasting change.
I have taken different routes in my life like a complete career change to working in Butlins Bognor Regis, temping and then returning to work in London and Chessington etc, and glad I did because it what worked at the time. Now I am ready for a new set of challenges by taking further routes and expanding myself I am glad to have found writing again.
I am able to look at myself now and think “Your doing okay and stay on this route it is heading onto more good things and keeping my spirits high”.
Sometimes it means sitting down again and going back to the drawing board to take a different route and setting new goals.
Scrapping goals is okay as unplanned events can take over and so changing goals is not failure it is re-routing your plans and adapting them to unexpected avenues that have cropped up, and develop new skills and changing the view of your situation.
I have been lucky that I have worked for many organisations and now ready to expand even more and because I was in a Mentalhealth hospital for a month, it really made me re-order my life and made me more guarded and choose my next route to grow myself even further.
Hello it is day 29 and one day to go until I have completed my 30 Day Challenge to post a blog a day and I have enjoyed it.
It is amazing how you, my auidence has liked it and sorry for filling up your inbox’s being a follower I wanted to see if I could do it and if you right a blog why not give it a try.
In this blog post I am talking about Getting your life back to normality and making small challenges.
So the first step is have a destination of where you want the final outcome to be. If you want to begin running for example: What is you vision once you have started to run. Is it to take on a Marathon for a good cause? To do it to overcome a medical reason? Like me my blood sugar level was extremely high and had to change medication and change my diet and lifestyle, buy running each week and start small and then gradually build.
When it comes to making changes its always about having positive results at the end and so the second step would be, find ways that suits you that will helps you reconnect with yourself and with other people.
You speak to someone who you can say how you feel, and not be held against you, but will support you.
I take refuge in keeping a journal and I know its not rocket science and “Yes we’ve heard it before” but that is because even drawing pictures of how you feel can also help you and get in touch with your thoughts and fears. Many an Artist liked to draw and paint out their current thoughts and their are some Adult Community Colleges who teach on creating art.
This is a great way to meet new people and findng new hobbies I wrote about this before hobbies in a parenting blog post check out my parenting blog I write called: https://theparentingadventurestipsandtricks.wordpress.com its never too young to learn something new so why not take up a hobby such as creating art and there are many online courses you can do too.
When it comes to changes it means declutter what you no longer need in your life and so it is good to go through your home of the things you still love and the things you don’t. This is something you can do for everything and that includes sentimental items and things you have won and collected that no longer mean anything to you.
Recycling items. I have used a pot noodle pot as a pen holder and have a box that stores my stickers for my planners and anything filed away on your computer or physically.
It is all about getting rid of the old and bringing in the new. I do write blogs about organization on my google blogspot sites:
Hello and Welcome! Thank you again for your feedback and that you are liking my blogs I have written to do my 30 day challenge. Post a blog a day for 30 days and it is day 28 and talking about Using Summer to make positive changes to your life.
Have a reason for each part of the day. So for me at the moment is getting up early morning to look and spend time with my son during the Summer Holidays. and afternoon going out with him and then in the evening having a good meal and then catching up in the evening to work on my blogs and do some writing and checking job vacancies as I am looking for some work in MentalHealth.
Use the weather to inspire you to if you can working outside. It is good to have some sun and working. It for me helps split up the day and is a change than being stuck in the room and I still longng for a pub lunch at some point and I find exploring London, my home town, inspiring and can’t wait to go to the theatre again.
Change the routine you have each season including summer. Use it do some gardening for example even if not done during the colder months and it is starting to grow the “Grow your own vegetables and fruit and vegetables” it saves you money, and having a drink in the garden rather than in the sitting room all of the time, whilst watching your flower beds bloom and home grown food grow.
Finally have friends and family round that you have not seen for ages again and not been able to contact via Zoom or facetime. It is gonna be a blessing to some people that they can see their love ones again and so why not have a gathering. It is good to have a catch up with those who you love
So, it is as easy as that and add some fun into your life and #BeKind and #BeSafe
So we all want to be happy and have more but to do this you do have to look around to see what you have already got. So for me I spent two days looking after my son and he to me is everything and as much as he drives me up the wall he is the most important and same if I have anymore.
I have a roof over my head and it isn’t mine so for me now is to working towards finding a place of my own.
I was married yet I wasn’t happy and I had to face it, so I did and some may not have been happy in me doing so but I wasn’t in that place anymore and wanted more, so for me it is to grow new relations and keep in contact with the important people still in my life and form new ones.
There was a time I found a new love outdoors and that was taking on fundraising events doing running and walking and looking back at the medals I received for doing these was massive for me and now ready once again to do more. I love that I do still exercise and walking in many various places.
When it comes to my life at the moment it is an 8 being that I want to move on from where I currently live as stated above, but looking ahead to begin a fresh start, I don’t want my eggs to be in one basket so want to do many things. I would like to work in Mental health and do my bit via blogs but do more and I would like to also work in music and on TV too.
So, continue going through my current life I know I have much more to give and so do you.
Hello and this blog is to say Thank you once again for your support whilst I complete this monthly challenge and gonna do this each month. I really love these challenges and it’s really been a mindful challenge. I see how many blogs I can do and it keeps me on my toes to write more and have my blogs be as good as the last one.
I HAVE 9 DAYS TO GO!
Here are 6 ways on how you can challenge yourself too:
Learning to drive. This I have tried but failed as I was not mentally ready to learn but did cause I thought I should. I am on medication for my Mental Health so can’t do this challenge, but wanted to make this the first because if you want to learn why not have a lesson each day if possible or a few days per week and challenge yourself 30 week challenge instead
Read a book in a day, week or each month. I really would like this to be one, and do this challenge for the month as I love to read and see if I can do complete it. Great way to visit charity shops, the library or kindle and see how many you can read each week or month
Take a photo of different things for 30 days and share on instagram or twitter. This is one that is in the Mrs Hinch Activity journal and again one I would like to eventually do myself
Exercise for 30 days. You can ask your friends to join and go on walks or runs together and good for getting family involved too. Or go to the gym now they will be back open or if there is an outdoor gym near you and take advantage and see how it helps the mind and the body.
Write in a journal for 30 days and reflect on each day of how it was. Journal writing is great to clear your minds and get rid off those cobwebs when doing so
Do a bit of gardening each day for 30 days. Sorting out the garden many find theruptic and if you have kids this can be a good one too
First of all Thank you for your feedback I have had so far. It really means the world to me and this is Day 20 of my 30 day blog challenge whereby I have been blogging on this site once a day for 30 days.
I have written similar blog like this, How to handle days when it all goe tits up and today it is “When things go tits up”, like missing your train, forgetting your mobile and having to go back and get it, you’ve fallen down a man hole in the street, go soaked in the rain and no umbrella. I am a person where it is “More or nothing” kid of a gal and when it goes wrong it does.
My son this week wasn’t well and felt sick at school, so thankfully I was contacted to pick him up, Being a mum you will have to do that too at some point and often we will stressed because you have taken him school and seemed okay and then due to the heat can have a full blown meltdown, without your control.
Remember it will pass its that kids show their emotions more than us adults and so they will find it hard in the heat, so when he got in we played out in the garden cause he just needed fresh air and was done, and went back to school next day and just in case I got there early to pick him up again as he has now finished school for the summer, and took him as promised the day before, o the train and then he wanted to get on a bus and we did that too.
Kids will get sick and I as a child was often sick. Anything going around I caught luckily I have been well through the COVID pandemic, but are more vulnerable caue of their immune systems still developing. Its life and so I focus on “What can I do to help prevent this” rather than I don’t know what to do. Check out my new parenting blog about blog I wrote on my site: https://theparentingadventurestipsandtricks.wordpress.com called Children and being sick.
Spend time reflecting over the misshap if it plays on your mind and what could you have done differently and go through list of prevention. Pehaps giving kids a multi-vitamin each day to help their immune systems, perhaps have two phones a home one and a mobile so the school can call both.
Its spending time to evaluate and measure how bad it was. What helped and what didn’t.
So, just breath and honestly do what you can and prepare for things that give you a bad day.
So are you stuck on how to move on from your life due to a set back?
Being human we often buckle under pressure and yeah me too, so if you need to take a break you are still being unstoppable because taking breaks is part of our growth. It also means that you have done enough to have time off and that was me today. I spent a whole morning and yesterday looking after my son and had a good old fashion muck about and it did mean getting up early still but advantage I got to watch some TV as I don’t often get the chance.
Self care and doing other tasks like looking for jobs in mental health, go through emails and check feedback on my blogs, as it is good to see your kindness in you liking my blogs, time and to see you my audience reactions to my posts. It means the world to me and makes me unstoppable..
To get yourself on track take a step back and go through how you are feeling and what is making you stop and feel unsure. What is causing you to feel stuck? and go through what you have done each day to see what has triggered you to step back.
Knowing the triggers you will learn to have more resillance to them and will help you overcome them. Example if you want to do a run like never before but you struggle getting out of the door to start, something is causing a fear and it could be not being able to go to far.Break iot down. I would train one day a week and then I created into something to enjoy and I would go for a run every Sunday and so don’t massive goals list and try out some motivation videos to help.
Change the pattern of how you see running. Perhaps it is the rain, moving to a new area that you worry you may get lost. Preplan the route and just to one road at the time or one lap around a local park. Winter have two layers as you will warm up as you run and doing some exercisses before hand can boost your energy in going for a run.
Think about building blocks and monitor yourself and when in a Mentalhealth hospital they would do a reflection each Friday to go over how we have each of us being a patient been, and what could the staff do to make us feel better. Reflecting is a great way to stay on track because often we see it differently if we take a look back.
Take time in going over the year you have had so far and what do youn avoid a lot. For me it is I know I am going to need a dentist appoinment and a new eye test but I see these as a burden so I am going to see if I can set a date to get these done.
Avoidance can often put more pressure on your shoulders. So perhaps I can, with the above appointments delegate this in someway. If someone else books it then I am more likely to go.
Create new patterns in your life so you can be unstoppable.
We can learn so much from the Olympics and how by the sheer training and hard work that goes on with each different event and why we can learn by the sheer determination and drive that each participate takes to compete and how working towards a goal each day can make such a difference to peoples lives.
All those athletes will be aiming for World success and being the best in the world. Each Nation fighting for their selves to be number 1 and not give up.
I hope noone cheats in this Olympics as sadly you do have those who try, but why drug testing is dome to ensure that they all compete fairly and with the mindset to become world champions.
We are all capable in achieving the things we set in our lives and there may be setbacks but you push through. With life there are always challenges and hurdles you have to face but never feel that you have to do something for someone else you do have to be selfish at times, and we are all able to feel good about what we do.
When we want to accomplish something fear can set in and self doubt, so with that go over when you decided to achieve say example in making cakes for people, you begin to see yourself accomplishing that and yet the first ones you baked all got burnt. What was the initial feeling you had in wanting to bake cakes for people? Is it your own recipe or someone elses? To make my son birthday cake for his first birthday which I wanted to do since kid, I do a cake making course at the Richmond Community college to do class.
You must have felt you were good enough to be a professional baker but you underestimated how long it would take.
Practicing from those already doing this is the key to it. To be the best you have to learn from the best and get inspired by baking once a wek at first.
Setting goals with each cake you make and who for and where do you see you taking it, will be a part time business or a something you want to do fulltime at some point? You may need a better oven or recipe as people use different ovens and so it may take shorter than said in the book or a bit longer. You soon learn as you continue to succeed in making cakes.
Be your own critic but let those you want eating them give you feedback. So being a goal medalist is the goal of each participant of the Olympics and they would have dreamed and dreamed, training everyday and allowed hurdles to crop up but but not stopping to be number one.
Commenting on someones weight, commenting on somebody’s life and commenting on someones dreams.
Has this been you? I hate those who judge other people and I have caught myself from doing so and it is “Who are you to judge?” it is not up to me and people say “Yeah in an ideal world” but do you have to judge other people? Getting to know people, yes, listening to people, yes and seeing the big picture of what is truly going on in someones life, yes.
There is a 10 commardment of don’t judge those on how you wouldn’t like them to judge you.
Yet people still do it and it seeing it, it’s their actual problem not the person they are judging and in some way they get satisfaction from that.
It is often because it feels good to throw a hurt at someone when it goes for those that judge and making assumptions about people yet they haven’t given that person a chance to be heard yet they expect others just be quiet and its looking down on people for no real reason.
There are people who don’t like my approach in being laid back and flexible, but I have seen better things in doing so and I am a open minded person which gets judged a lot of too.
I am not someone who follows always on how someone else lives but I set standards for myself as I can says I don’t know everything yet in some peoples mind it is “Well you should?” There are things that I am good at like writing and the feedback has been an eye opener and I know that my words are doing more than just words but they do have meaning and when began blogging had no idea of whow they would be received.
So, for me it is:
Get to know that peron who you see. I always go on if they are good and lovely for real its when you actually meet them that counts and you can tell from 5 words if they are really a nice person or not and their body language too.
If you feel that you have been judged then ask them “Why are you judging me?” and be open to then give then a sense of control still but make it clear you have boundaries and you don’t like to be judged and you’ll find if you do it, they are the ones who will begin screaming and shouting.
So look after yourself and #BeKind to yourself too.
