being strong and guided, everyone can build a castle, life coaching blog, self help blog, setting promises

Hello this another Life Coaching video as part of my Life Coaching programme, “2022 Project”, helping you to have a happier life and a year.

To get to grips with your life, it is good to be strong and guided. This time last year I was in a Mental Health hospital and wished I had known about these places as I would have checked myself in, as like many I found the lockdowns we had, was effecting my mental health, by not being able to go out and explore, and I love walking and visiting different places, but due to Lockdown I couldn’t.

  1. Develop your understanding of what is good in your life and why and what is not, and do you want to be good or the bad?
  2. Never Promise if you can’t deliver, because there is such a thing as false promises and when we don’t follow through we feel failure. Doing is better than promising.
  3. Develop a life that is personal to you. So now I am back walking again, long distances and as soon as I see people running, I feel I am not doing enough, yet walking is just as good and so don’t do things just because of other people but what will benefit you
  4. Get in touch with your spirituality. I have had a tough nine years where I allowed my mental health dictate my life and not getting in touch with myself and so began praying again, because, for me that helps and I listen to my soul and gut rather than my heart and mind
  5. Stop comparing. I should hold a reward for this because I am guilty as sin. I have learnt and I do what suits me and love myself, rather than looking at someone else and feel inadequate
  6. Creating different systems. This came from watching Mel Robbins Reset, check it out, and if you want to remember something like a pair of shoes for walking, I put them out so I can slip them on and go. Being a parent I would make sure I had items I could grab and go, as hate forgetting. Sorry what was that, I said, I don’t like forgetting, so leave items in full view so I know I will remember
  7. Create good patterns. I now make sure I set an alarm in the mornings, to make sure I have a good sleep pattern, as 4 hours sleep which I used to sleep for, did me no good and so I now go to bed between 8 and 9pm and wake up by 8:30am. I don’t have lunch until I go over to my son’s house to wait for him to return from school and stops me snacking and I love reading my book whilst travelling, as i learn a lot this way
  8. Give back what others have given you. I do this by thanking the bus driver for taking me safely to my last stop, I will buy nice cards and presents for family and what I do need to do is remember to write thank you cards, as I always forget and so will make an effort to do this, and feeling bad from not doing so.
  9. Get rid of anger by making changes in your life. Example hating your job, and feel you don’t connect with the people you work with. Look for a new place to work that has a better atmosphere. I had jobs like this, when working for a computer company, and there was a lot of back stabbing and felt so uncomfortable so I left, and followed my dream to work at a Holiday camp and finally got the chance, to leave my old life in London and Surrey for the south coast and was a brilliant experience.
  10. Make yourself be heard, Staying silent never helps and so set boundaries, making it clear of what they are. and stand your ground. This is not contradicting number 9, as you can do this to prevent anger, but just sitting and talking to people and teach others to do the same. Sitting having a conversation about what upsets us, rather than a shouting match.

It is all about keeping your head held high and to realise your value, and that you have a part to play in this world just like everyone else.

I have filmed for my Youtube channel: Typical London Gal, of some Life Coaching videos so go and check these out, this too and creating a board on Pinterest too: https://www.pinterest.co.uk/thetypicalLondongal/2022-project-life-coaching-tools-and-information/

Are you worried about rushing into things, like taking a promotion at work?

You’d like to go for it but something is holding you back.

Evaluate and write down the fears and take time to go through your worries and concerns, and what would help you overcome these fears you are having.

  • You may be thinking would I have to do extra hours?
  • Would I be able to earn more money?
  • Would it require working on different days unlike what I do now?
  • Would I cope with the promotion and am I capable of leading a team?
  • Perhaps you want to write a book, but you feel you are incapable and that you feel you can’t compete with other writers.

Use these fears to push yourself into gear and be in the mindset that YOU CAN DO ANYTHING!

Life is full of chances to change your life, for example I have unknown to me got more followers on Pinterest and it meant adding more content to the pins that I have worked on and its building and building yourself that you need to focus on. Facing your fears of what is stopping you,

THE NEED TO BE DEALT WITH!

Just start by writing and answering the above questions.

  • Begin to picture yourself writing the book or taking the promotion you really want to go for, and write one thing that would push you forward.
  • If you want to write a book, start by jotting down notes and your ideas. Imagine yourself writing the book, picture the scene of the book, like you would when watching a movie.
  • Start building and putting together the reason why you want to go for the promotion or write a book how will it improve you life?
  • Perhaps you feel you can’t write a book because you don’t read books, then there is no time like the present to begin reading books. It really helps when putting your own book together, and finding the style that works for you.

If you get a promotion and your worried that the relationship with your colleagues are gonna change towards you, then,

  • sit them down and have a meeting about it, even if it is one to one
  • tell them your plans in what things you want to help your colleagues with,
  • how the relationship with them will grow so there are no barriers between you and them.

Who around you inspires you?

  • It could be a friend
  • a family member or
  • someone you see on the TV,
  • what they bring to the table that you like
  • how can you implement their way of being into your own.

You can be inspired by other people, without feeling jealousy and begrudging. I want to see people do well, and if you support them they will do the same. It may take time but if you know what it is you want in life and know how this person makes you feel, then follow their path, not copy, but what things they teach you that you can add to your life for you to be just a successful.

I feel inspired listening to Celine Dion, and love her music and she went through a transition where she learned to speak English, had teeth surgery and altered her image, because Rene who was her manager and then became her husband, knew that for her to be in music and not be mocked by the press she would need changes that will help her grow as an artist and now sells billion records all over the world.

I have now changed my habits and implemented new ones:

  • I always make sure I have breakfast
  • Go walking and playing football and walks with my son
  • I read books whilst travelling to and from my sons home
  • Have night off on Saturdays and being away from my phone
  • Spend time doing colouring
  • Sunday is my training day where I will watch training videos on Youtube like Sara Cannon and Natalia Leigh who do videos about their life as self published authors
  • Keep tabs on my finances and making sure any bills due are paid and save as much as possible

It all adds to push yourself confidence and perhaps you feel you need more education to go for the promotion, and speak your superior as I did this working for an entertainments company where I would book tickets for people wanting to go to visit theme parks and I was struggling to remember the details I need to check to book tickets and so I spoke to my coach who gave me further training.

If you don’t ask you don’t get.

And be your own teacher to build your knowledge and make a time or day to do some self training if you knowledge is not up to scratch and will help push you forward to going for that promotion and never feel you can’t compete, because YES YOU CAN!

2022 blogs on looking after yourself, better life for a better year, better wellbeing, lifecoachingblogs, self help blog

When life is full it can feel like a massive weight on your shoulder and it becomes overbearing. We can get lost in tones of to do’s and not achieving anything, and bogged down.

Please check my new life coaching video: Talking about Anxiety and how I deal with it.

So this blog is all about, How to spend time to look after yourself and get rid of the stress and anxiousness.

  1. Spent more time looking after you, rather than other people. Self care is a must, and this can be whatever you want. I when wanting to be quiet do colouring in and you can get colouring books which helps with mindfulness and a great way to just be on your own and putting yourself first
  2. Spend sometime putting together some family time, where you all sit down and chat. I often will spend time with my son, talking and watching the planes go over and will make a must that I check with my son how he is and if he has had a good day at school. He often doesn’t share that much, but when not prompted he will tell me. Chatting with your family can really be a good way to talk about any worries you and they may have, and send a message and arrange a time to sit and meet with family
  3. If you are contacted by someone you don’t want to see, but you feel that you should, take time to have space and like above chat with them about it. If they don’t want to listen then you can decide if they are good in your life or aren’t
  4. Keep a notebook where you can practice Affirmations. This has helped me a lot, because looking back I have been so hard on myself and felt like it is me against the world, but not the case, its all about what you can bring to the table and remember that you were born into this world so you are part of it. Again if there is something that triggers bad thoughts argue with it by practicing Affirmations
  5. Give yourself some time explore. This morning as I write this blog, my son and I went for a walk and got rid of my fatigue and had a good amount of energy and so now we are going to do this each weekend. I also make space to work and explore in the week too. It doesn’t have to be fast but taking time to be with your own mind and really gets rid of cobwebs

Life is about building your life for happier times and doesn’t have to be done all in one go, but taking your time and listen to your mind and body, and you soon know what changes in your life needing to change, like taking your time to have a better mindset and time.

april newsletter, blog talking about saint george's day, celebrating yearly occasions, life coaching site, self help site

Hello, so thank you for your likes and follows and really means the world to me, and allows me to see what topics you like me sharing on this site.

Tomorrow it is St George’s yet it doesn’t always get celebrated or publicized, and gives me more reason to celebrate the day, and I am English and should be able to celebrate without feeling I shouldn’t.

It was when St George died and so for me I like celebrating these occasions and dates.

What special date you’d like to celebrate?

Does it inspire you?

What I get out of it is being present and being proud of where I come from.

I think we should feel that way. Not to hold it against anybody or to look down upon someone, but as apart of your heritage and have fun with it. I know there will be a lot of people celebrating the Platinum Jubilee, and have street parties. I love that we do that in England and being part of it is why I celebrate such occasions. It is good to pass these special days down like Easter too, to my son.

Check out my new Newsletter for April, which has a list of special days I like to celebrate, and of what is to come next in my content and bring more to the table and help and support you all.

If there are things in our life that has not worked out, it doesn’t mean your life is over, it means it wasn’t meant to be. We can often feel like a failure, and beat ourselves over the head with it, example, starting a new job and you realise it isn’t what you thought and the format is not for you.

All experiences in our lives count to us growing and finding the job that is what you have been looking for. I want to work in childcare and so I have been trying different ways I can work within this industry to find the role that matches the one I want. It is good to have direction and trying different routes, but keeping in mind the expectations you have, to find the one that makes you feel like “Yes this is my dream” and makes you excited each day. Its not good if you dread it, because it can effect your wellbeing.

If it isn’t the right job then it is fine. Noone’s going to blame you for trying. Life is full of choices and we all in our lives will take a different turn.

You should never give up, but keep moving on and get on with it. Stop the worry, the analysing and the guilt, but put it down to life. It is all about choices and finding what works and what doesn’t.

If you allow life to be hard work it is going to be. If you keep giving yourself a hard time, then ask yourself “Do you want to be doing this all your life?” It can be draining, and so beating yourself up is sole destroying that doesn’t help, so getting rid of those feelings will help you breath and take stock of where your life is heading and set goals and trying new habits is the key to carrying on and letting go.

Hello and welcome! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for following me on this site and liking my blogs it really is truly wonderful and helps me to create more content to reach out to you, and so thank you for all your kind feedback.

I have my next Newsletter for March, see here if you’d like to read it:

first-weekly-newsletter-march-2022Download

I think a lot of us can identify with Climbing Mountains, as life can feel like we are trying to reach the top of our lives but not accomplishing it. Many events in life can have an influence, like a lose of someone or you lose your job and feel unhappy that can come with that. Yet there are so many things you can do to get out of feeling that way, you can feel that there is nothing there for you now, because that security of a job has now gone and now you are on your tod trying to find the next chapter to your life.

Let me tell you, there is plenty to do, such as:

  • Creating an online course. I use Thinkific and it is a brilliant way to share your skills with other people. Please check out my online courses: https://carrieseducationnetwork.thinkific.com/
  • Creating a book. Iove writing stories, and for a while I put it on hold, but so glad I started again, and there are some brilliant people out there that can help you. I like watching a lady called Sara Cannon, and has a site called Heartbreathings. Amazon has made it easy for you to upload a book, so give it a try, you never know. NEVER LIMIT YOURSELF
  • Start a fitness routine. I love walking it helps my mind so much and I make sure I do some each day, and workout indoors. Taking up a dance class. I did dancing and really good in meeting new people and feels like fun rather than running if this is not your thing. Check out these blog sites I write blogs for: https://sportsandfitnesspassion.wordpress.com and, https://getfitgetactivewithme.blogspot.com
  • Take that holiday. I was made redundant when working for a call centre and the campaign I was working on, moved to Poland so I couldn’t continue, and we all knew that it was coming, and so the Christmas before that happened I took me and my son’s dad before he was born, to Florida. I went first class and it was so worth it, and so take a break, the world doesn’t need to stop, and treat yourself.
  • Spend time changing your environment. Staying in four walls is never going to help, or being somewhere that you don’t like and want change. Find the place that makes you smile and give you a good new lease of endorphins.
  • Get rid of assets that you no longer need. Sometimes having a good sort out, and declutter can help the mind and start a fresh and a new beginning, and so if there are assets that no longer serves a purpose, give them to someone else who might have use for them, and sell.

Life can hit a block in the road, that is life sadly but getting up and changing what is stopping you from getting on the top of the mountain can make the climb a breath.

International Women’s Day

blog about International womens day, blog about women who have influenced me, celebrating women, life coaching wordpress blog, self help blog

I am a mother, I am an Aunty, I am a sister, daughter and a cousin, and there have been many women whom have inspired me through my life.

Sandy one of my Playgroup Leaders that ran in Hammersmith and she still is in my heart along with another lady called Sue, who made me dinner once when my brother dislocated his arm playing football and would always be at the Fulham Recreation Ground, to watch like my mum, her son play football and never missed a game.

Sandy who today, is no longer in this world, but along with Sue, who lived in my estate aswell, were ladies I inspired me a lot and had time for everyone who attended playgroup.

Sylvia Dale, my Ballet and Tap instructor, who would gave up part of her home as a dancing studio and would put on amazing shows, every year and always were brilliant to be part of.

Connie and Sheila, two ladies who helped me to do Ballroom, Latin and Disco dancing, on a Saturday, after finishing tap and ballet, and taught us one by one who attended the dancing school, and helped us kids, make up dances too, and choreographed brilliant dancing routines and was there until I was 16 years old and still visit in my dreams.

My Aunties who have helped bring me up and loved having a lot of them in my life, and would never forget anyone at Christmas and or at Easter too, and loved it when as a family when we would, all come together and I love having so many happy memories, of those times along with my female cousins.

My two nans, Nanny Skinner and Nanny Rose, and were proper nans to me and were a massive influence as a kid who I would dance in the living room with and learn how to play cards and knit, and would have homemade food and would go on many shopping trips, aswell as meeting other friends and family.

Female Comedians, French and Saunders for their funny sketches and TV shows they did together and separately, Joan Rivers for her controversial gags and adult women humour, and never stopped working always working to make people laugh and cry with laughter.

Sports women, like Sally Gunnell, Fatima Whitbread, Martina Navratilova, and Zola Bud.

Actresses, like Joan Collins, Jenifer Aniston, Doris Day and Judy Garland. I loved old films and TV, and thankfully still alive today and growing even stronger, and influenced me as a woman myself.

Then there are singers, Cyndi Lauper, Madonna, Whitney Houston, Dionne Warwick and Juice Newton who I most recently remembered songs, as she was, which I forget was my early influences as a kid who’s parents loved music aswell.

And I could go on and on, but honestly there are so many influential women out there still today and my favourite life coaching speaker, Mel Robbins and I listen and watch her videos every day.

So, I would like to see comments, of as women who inspired you and had a influence on your life too. You can leave a comment below.

Thank you for everyone who loves these blogs and given me feedback, it really means the world to me, and gives me a push to write more and inspired you too.

Many thanks for reading,

World Book Day/Being Inspired by books

being inspired by books, greatest books of the world, love reading books, reading books, world book day

On Thursday it was World Book Day, and my son dressed like a mouse because of the book called, Gruffalo, one of his favourite books and reads the story himself.

We can get so much from it and celebrate the great writers of the world and what we can learn from them. Being a writer myself it can take time to write a book, and it often gets forgotten how long it takes, and I think we have gotten into the place in this world where anyone can write one, and it can be a kids or an adult book, but connect with people and you can learn so much.

Like the book Wild, which became a film, with Reece Wetherspoon and where she walks the Crest Trail and is a true story and she comes across a lot of hurdles but she needed to do it to help go over her life, as she had gotten into drugs, and shows how drugs can effect the mind, and how you can overcome the things that have happened in the passed.

I discovered Harry Potter books when I was sleeping in a member of my families room and they were there and, I just picked it up on a whim, and once I started to read the first one I couldn’t stop, and reaching out to people via book is so rewarding for both the writer and the reader.

I love a variety of books, like thrillers, true stories, comedy and chick flicks and detective books. I like books based in the 40’s, or before then or after, and just love now travelling on the bus and read, with a coffee in my hand and I feel comfort from them.

A book has to be good from the start to finish, and really resonate with me and gets in touch with my emotions. Reading a book is a great habit to have, and I love buying books and being given books as gifts, or just because that person handing the book over, had recommended the book to me and really good to form friendships. I used to lend books to colleagues and someone gave me some books that they never read. These were all books by Tony Robbins which I still need to finish reading.

So lets celebrate books and how they can teach us so much without a certificate in the subject but learned different things, and how to get started when reading and writing, and remember the simple ideas can be the greatest thing you have done.
