ambition, choosing who you want to be, health and wellness, life coaching, who I want to be

As a kid I always knew that I wanted to do something that was different to those before me being an estate kid, did with their lives. As a kid I was full of ambition, and loved dancing and wanted to be a pop star one day or be on stage in a musical. Well I did have a chance as I did when I was very young did tap and ballet classes and take part in shows, and then went onto doing ballroom and latin dancing.

Photo by Mikhail Nilov on Pexels.com

They came about because of other kids I knew and it gave me a reason to get out of bed, then I stopped and then fell in love with football and changed my mind of who I wanted to be, and felt a new world had shown itself and was what I wanted to do instead.

I would dream about playing football, but actually it wasn’t that I wanted to play, but build my knowledge and wanted to be a football coach, and years later did my level FA coaching qualification at Richmond college, and did get a chance to coach. Then I fell pregnant so had to stop, as I didn’t drive and couldn’t carry my stuff with me, and it turned out to be a good decision, because in the end it was traumatic when Henry, my son arrived, and would like to continue again, but I then discovered the internet and his many things you can do on it, and began a blog.

This with a few of my other blogs I began to write, was one of my first, and feel this is now who I want to be. I want to be a blogger and full time writer. It can take its time, to choose who you want to be, and I want to be known for my blogs and help get in touch with people who I can help through my blogs.

I then began to write books and who I want to be. I do still see myself as a estate kid and has had a influence on me, because it was a huge part of me still. I am a mum and love it, my son is the biggest I could have wished for and is who I want to be.

I get a buzz when my son calls me mummy and gives me hugs and tells me he loves me, and is such a gorgeous boy, Is that being biased? Probably, but is it? I mean he is my pride and joy, and he is adorable and people comment on him saying how he is so friendly and gorgeous he is. He makes me laugh like noone else and we have a bond that is out of this world, and feel good about being a mum. Yes there are challenges, but life is about growing, if we limit ourselves that is always going to the case, so we have to come across challenges as this how we become who we are.

So who do you want to be? Start building your life and never fear it.

To let you know I did a new video talking about my last blog about having lazy days and habits leading to habits so, check it out: https://youtu.be/QHzxtk2-0LE

I will be making these blogs and videos into an Online course, as I did last year, and if you’d like to check my Online courses out I have linked to my page: Online Courses/Education

“Summer Project 2022” Being Super Lazy/habits leading to other habits

habits, having a chilled day, lazy days, life coachng, look after yourself

I can be one lazy bitch when I want to be, but now I have started to see that I can still have those days but schedule them in, and still continue with my good habits as I take a day off, and since becoming a mum that has altered a lot. I often have forgotten to have lazy days.. I no longer spend time travelling to watch a Rugby League team I used to follow and no longer go up into central London for a drink, but as I write this I still want to do this and be on my own, but making sure I stay safe if I do that. It will take a lot of courage but feel I need to do at some point to break the fear of it.

Photo by Los Muertos Crew on Pexels.com

I have found that I can still be lazy but dressed, like now I have changed into shorts after being out wearing leggins as I have to wear cycling shorts under my everyday shorts when walking and moving, to stop chaffing, but they are in the laundry basket so now I am at my desk and going spend the day working, chilled and fully relaxed in my shorts, and going to have a blissful day.

That for me is what is important. We all need those times to take it easy, and whilst shopping, buying food I had to catch myself from rushing, because today I didn’t need to, but rushing becomes a habit that can cause burnout so I rein myself in and take my time.

I remember when working in a call centre and there was a lady there called Mrs Rush Rush, because I would talk fast, walk fast and be on my toes running around so I could be back at my desk taking more calls, and complete my day. I felt worn out, like numb by the end of the day. I would have anger issues, because of taking unhappy calls and it would drain me. I felt like I couldn’t talk anymore and would go home to my husband in a mood.

Again this became a habit. Now I slow down. I don’t need to rush and have always been good at time keeping so needed not to rush. That is why I need lazy days, so I can unwind and forget the rush and just be in my element. My laptop, youtube, TV and a good book.

When I travel I often finding myself running for the bus, when I have left myself time to, if I miss it to get the next one. I don’t need to run but the city girl within me, being in London often will set in. Yet once on the bus I will be happy reading my book and chill before my son comes home from school.

With the summer holidays I have tried to chill too. My son is not a fast walker but he has bags loads of energy and often have to think on my feet, and that is not easy.

Just to say I do have a Life coaching course on my Educational Network, checkout this link here:

https://carrieseducationnetwork.thinkific.com/

So now I will make sure I take a lazy day and catch up on a good TV series, watch a series of videos and I love watching documentaries and sport, so I make time to do that, and yes having a better life, is to spend time with yourself and the things and people you love, without the rush and losing ourselves in everyday busyness.

building a better life, building you life, challenges, creating challenges that make you feel alive, wellness

I have really enjoyed the Monthly Challenges I have been doing and for August I am posting everyday on my Instagram, for 30 days, and so check it out: https://www.instagram.com/typicallondongal/

Photo by Anna Shvets on Pexels.com

The purpose of it is to connect to others and having fun, and catching up on and see how I can improve my content and make it enjoyable to encourage others to set up challenges as they alter your thoughts and to see what I am capable of. It gets into habits that helps me feel like I am not sinking behind my blogs, and books etc but build my knowledge. Last month July was to do a bit of training on day, not me give training and me doing the training, because there are always areas of improvement. I want to learn new skills and build my knowledge for my wellbeing. I love to learn.

They help to get stuff done and want to start doing my Seasonal clean ups where by I would sort my stuff out every Autumn, Winer and Spring, and the one thing on the agenda is to organize my clothes, and seeing what I have worn and not, and what I have used and never going to be used. It is good to clear the head by having a clear up with physical items and feel that it making space for me and I like shape in my life.

These challenges have helped with shaping my life. It has made me make sure I make my bed in the morning, and I have a reset each week and just get my life together.

Set challenges in the summer if you don’t want to do it every month or do a reset each week. It is what works for you and helps with being overwhelmed and not want to do anything.

With the school holidays it has been tricky, so doing tasks that doesn’t take up too much of my time but I am still getting stuff done and I love sharing on Instagram and would like to do more and do videos on there too.

I have been filming Day in a life videos, at the moment I am putting my videos of the Platinum Jubilee, so check out my channel via the this link if you’d like to watch them: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCUDFIqjVKLy7NhtcR6Hy0Tg

I was also challenging myself to read a book a month and so far achieved, but not July because of the school holidays but I will catch up, and then I want to plan for Autumn and Winter months of 2022. I will keep you posted.

Summer Project 2022: Doing what we should rather than what we want

everyone can build a castle, life coaching, Personal Development, running errands, self help

Do you feel sometimes that life is full of errands, like doing laundry, cleaning, checking my finances, packing for the school holidays and on emails, that you avoid these tasks?

Photo by Meruyert Gonullu on Pexels.com

Yes my hands are up, and I think its because we build too much of hard expectation of ourselves and it usually because we are pleasing others in doing so. I mean we pay our debts because we began not to care anymore about where it is going, and have a load of books still to be returned to the library, but know we are pissing off the bank we are debt with, and return our books to stop the library being annoyed with us and avoid visiting, and not because we actually want to be these things off.

Of course these things need to be done, because of our own insanity and we don’t want these things hanging around our heads, growing and know we want them to be gone. You feel begrudging about the bills you have to pay. So what is the answer?

Well do we want to be debt for the rest of our lives and still have those library books? Of course not and so set a date and each day go through what will help face them to get them done. Create a plan and a goal.

I have used a bit of paper on my wall and set myself a target of paying off my credit card and plan my finances of what needs to come out and what I want to come out. I also go through where I can save money, by going to parks which are free to use, not always having a coffee out and if it a store I use of the time do they have points cards that would lower the amount you pay, like Boots for example I love their points system and use the points I build up on items from their stores.

I enjoy setting myself goals and I do it bit by bit, rather than all in one go.

Invest in what you want and not what you don’t. Go through the things in your life that makes you avoid errands and can you delegate? I am no good at making beds, but I do it because it does help set up my day, but if someone offers, of course I am not going to say no. and the same with having a reset each week. I find that I avoid them because I make them bigger than what they are, rather than seeing that it is not a hard task. Example: Worried about getting up to London and not being up there on time.

So I packed my bag the night before, saw a cash machine on route yesterday as took my son to Wimbledon park, and withdrew some cash and checked the trains the night before and then in the morning, set an alarm and just prepared myself.

Separate errands into sections, and think about how you will feel once the task is done and what it will lead to. I know when I complete tasks I feel a buzzed and that the preparation is the the key.

So don’t avoid get them done, do them but then reward yourself, very important and then go onto the things you want to do and do one together. Example when I have written a blog, I reward myself with watching a video, which is what I want to do, because I love writing blogs, but often will be my own worst critic and editing it can be a process, but I feel really good afterwards and so will then watch a bit of TV, what I want to do. If someone could in help me with editing I would be truly thankful.

It’s all about balance and not getting left behind, as this can be a factor, the time you have.

So break things down, prep and break each task down so its not such a burden to get the errands we plan done and make it enjoyable, example when I write I may listen to a podcast or music, with a cup of tea or coffee, have the window open and wear a favourites T-Shirt, anything that helps boost your enthusiasm to get errands completed so you and focus on the want items.

It is all about living life and making the most of it, why we have it.

“The Summer Project” Hard to take a night off

life coaching, looking after ourselves, Personal Development, taking a break, writing

So I went to bed feeling tired, well I wouldn’t go to bed wide awake, but as soon as my head hit the pillow my mind became active and so got up. I began to watch a documentary as I love to do at the weekend and if you wanted to know what, it is an Celine Dion Documentary when she goes back to perform in Las Vegas after she not long gave birth to twins.

Photo by ANTONI SHKRABA on Pexels.com

I then get the urge to write this blog, and realised in the online world that it is hard to take a night off.

Being a writer it is often all I want to do and this after writing my previous blog ā€œThe Summer Project 2022ā€ When you just don’t feel likeĀ it and suddenly feel the urge to write once again and so I have to get up and do it. I knew if I didn’t I’d be laying bed thinking about it and so admitted defeat, and now as I write this blog now, it is Sunday and 6am in the morning.

I had a relaxing day yesterday thought. I got to have a lie in thanks to my Step dad and watched some TV with my son, and then my mum took him out on his scooter and then when he left to be with his dad, wrote my other blog, filmed a video and then whilst doing a bit of Admin listened to some good music, my love at the moment is Jessie Ware.

Being the UK summer holidays it can be tiring and so not sure how much I will do during this period so when I get a window where I can write I will take the opportunity.

It is good to have a break, I have had burn out too many times and so I take it easy but never forget my passion and when I get the urge I will take it and reminds me why I love writing so much. I love connecting with people through it. I love being part of the online world and so I have to keep it going.

Thank you for your likes and connecting with me through my blogs and following me, it means a lot and more blogs to come. I have been creating videos too on my Youtube channel and so check them out: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCUDFIqjVKLy7NhtcR6Hy0Tg

easy days, life coaching, mix up- your life, taking it easy, weekend bliss

It is Saturday and know that my next Newsletter needs changing, and I don’t feel like it. I love creating them it’s just I have a free Saturday Afternoon and Evening, and had set out in my head my plan to do a bit of writing and been planning but actually feel slumped.

Photo by Valeria Ushakova on Pexels.com

I have Saturday’s as my night off and this morning and early afternoon spent time with my son, and had a gap whilst my mum took him out this morning on his scooter, but now I feel like I could just go to bed.

It is good to take breaks and so going to make this my only thing I am going to do today, in terms for writing and then going to begin my night off and make this it for the rest of the day.

When I don’t have a break I feel so unenergized the next day and so set a day where you have free choice and I am going to watch a concert, a film or documentary. I am going to take a shower and have a alcoholic drink with my dinner. Set a day just for yourself. Have a different meal that is different to what you would have during the week and visit different friends that you don’t see often and with the hot weather it is good to have a night out in town. This is one thing I miss, and going to build confidence to have a date with myself.

So let’s just enjoy our weekend and there will be more blogs coming and thank you for your feedback so far.

Many thanks for reading

brainstorming, building your life, health and wellbeing, life coaching blogs, mapping out your life

Hello! So I have just filmed a new video to go up about setting goals, and the one thing I do to help achieve my goals is map out of the things I want to grow and to help improve my videos and blogs. Life is about growing and continuous learning. This video will go up onto my Main Youtube Channel, in the next couple days, and I did upload a video yesterday about Summer Anxieties: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCUDFIqjVKLy7NhtcR6Hy0Tg

I love to learn new things and keep building and building. This is why I will with each notebook I use create a map of the current things I am working on, and helps to workout where I need to do to market my videos and blogs, and need to share my videos more via my social media, and I have not been doing so. This is helps find the cracks in your life that could do with a bit of attention.

So get a piece of paper or a note and begin, and I have written about this in a book that are on Amazon, under the names, Carrie Challoner, Carrie Lee Holmes and Carrie Holmes.

It is like a more structure brainstorm and I did write a book about this too Called Brainstormind and again keep them together with your map and focus on one area at a time.

I am now going to work on putting my 3rd Quarter goals and I use One Note to do this but going to change it to put it up on my Notion account and would recommend. Not sponsored at all, it is just what I need to keep myself up to date with important and less important lists.

So go on create those maps and colour code if it helps and make it your own.

Many thanks for reading,

bad habits, dealing with anxiety, happiness and wellbeing, lifecoachingblogs, Positive Habits

Hello welcome to a new blog and thank you for liking my blogs and following me. I just filmed a new video and so going to edit and put this up tonight for my Life Coaching programme, “Summer Project 2022”, and is about Summer Anxieties living in the city and can be body confidence, travelling and going on Holiday in the UK and abroad. If you’d like to watch my videos then you can via this link: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCUDFIqjVKLy7NhtcR6Hy0Tg

Photo by Megan Ruth on Pexels.com

With the summer comes many anxieties and this was not being tanned, but now no longer worry as like looking after my body, and so I just sit outside and enjoy it and now feel happy with my skin tone. I am not moaning about the Summer, because it is nice but find it too hot to sit out in the heat all day so one habit that I do to protect my skin, I go out in the morning and plan as I write this blog to go out there in the garden and read some of my book later when it begins to cool down and sit in the shade.. My food habits change too, and I eat and wake up early. This morning being a Sunday I do find because I don’t set an alarm get up later, and did get to sleep in today, and then took Henry, my son this morning to one of our local parks and was lovely in the shade watching him making friends with other kids playing football.

It is good to plan for the summer and do different things compared to what you do in the Autumn and Winter and still be productive. I find I am more prone to do exercise in the summer and soon my son will be breaking up for the School Summer Holidays and so going to make sure that I plan ahead and let the worries go. Living in a city it is good that there are always shops to get any bits you may forget and eases the anxiety and worry. Worry is a habit that I try and stay clear of because it can effect me enjoying the day. I get to explore and enjoy my son’s company and him enjoying himself, to create good memories and share such great times.

I have suffered with anxiety since a kid and has become a habit that I have found tricky to stop because I have had it for so long. I now do different practices to stop those feelings of self-doubt that has often dictated my life. I listen to Mel Robbins who developed the 5 Second Rule and The High 5 Habit, and have tried both and they do exactly what she says and has helped me since i discovered her videos and books. #melrobbins

So lets all have a good summer and will be back with more blogs and videos. You can also find my content on Pinterest too and I am also on Instagram and have two other Youtube channels and other blogs, see below:

“Summer Project 2022″Rising to the top of your life

achievements, being a success in life, blog about rising to the top, life coaching blogs, self care and accomplishments

So first off, I want to say a big thank you to all your feedback, liking my blogs on this site and you help me build it up and inspire too, and I love being part of the “Blog Community and network” so thank you and for following me truly, utterly grateful.

I have also written a blog about Understanding the mind and gaining control, and a new Youtube video talking about being productive living in a city, see these following links:

https://buildingselfconfidencetud.blogspot.com/2022/07/understanding-mind-and-gaining-control.html

Being productive living in a city

Rising to the top was an idea I had watching the Winter Olympics, and how much training that these athletes do to get to be a gold medallist and even compete and it means training every single day so it becomes like drinking water.

I bet some have had falls from doing for example Snowboarding, and ended up in hospital, but they still continue on to rise to the top.

Now we aren’t all going to be able to have a gold medal but doesn’t mean you’ll never rise to the top, because we all have it within ourselves to be better to what we already are, for example I knew that if I continued dancing and gaining my medals I would win the cup for the highest marks and I did it.

I needed a weekend job that suited my lifestyle being a mum and finding something I could do that would not interfere with looking after my son, and so found one and recently I wanted to stop working in a call centre to do Childcare and Housekeeping. I wasn’t good as a housekeeper but I did love the nursery work I did.

Due to circumstances couldn’t continue on because of the hours and because of COVID, but doesn’t mean that I failed or didn’t accomplish anything, because I did. It helped me to build my experience in one of the sectors I wanted to work in.

Now I am going to be doing a number of courses to help me build up my knowledge in Life Coaching, working in Mental Health and Teaching Assistant.

This blog I created because I was searching answers to change the way that I felt about my life. I felt I hadn’t achieved anything but I have. I did the Great North Run, I was able to travel to Florida for Christmas and went business class, and it was nice to live that lifestyle and now I want to create more dream holidays and memories.

Rising to the top comes with many paths and roads you follow and hurdles for example, after doing the Royal Parks run I couldn’t walk properly as I had Runners Knee and it hurt, but then I continued to do more running and walking.

Yet I completed the half marathon and once I did these events would reflect and made me see you don’t need to be a millionaire to succeed in life, but what you put into it that matters.

So never feel you can’t rise to the top in whatever your passion is because trust me you can.

I am writing and doing these Life Coaching Projects, because I want to help others build success and achieve more in their lives too, and have a better summer and a better year. I want to see people thrive and having the things you have dreams of to come true to you aswell.

I do write other blog sites, have three Youtube channels, on social media and on Pinterest. So if you want to check these out you can, the links are below:
