70's music, artist, British music, English music, everyone can build a castle, famous people, Inspiring stories, lead singer of the faces, life and times of an artist, music, people who inspire me, singer, the boy in blue rod stewart

Hello welcome to my weekly blog where I write about people who have inspired me, and one of those people is someone who whenever I felt stressed about something, one of his songs would come on the radio, as if he knew I would be listening.

Rod Stewart Tribute Night on 12 December at 19:00

I have seen this man twice once at Wembley Stadium and then in Hyde Park, at the Hard Rock Festival, and was very much planned last minute but well worth it.

He was fornominal and I always say you know how good a person is at what they are famous for when they are brilliant live, and he was. It is the legendary, the First Sir of Rock, The Boy in Blue, Sir Rod Stewart.

I would go and see him again as it was one of the best concerts and festivals I have been too. Sir Uncle Rod did something that noone else did, and that he has had number hit record in every decade, since he began his career.

Now many think that he started his career in the Seventies, but as my father inlaw knows a lot about music back then, knows that he was actually known in the sixties as there is a Rock ‘n’ Roller who said his name in one of his songs, but obvioiusly was a youngster then, but yes people within the industry back then knew of him and helped him begin a career in music. It was a song sung by Jeff Beck.

He did the whole thing like many artists and even comedians back then did, performed in many Clubs and Pubs and was in a Rock Band called the Faces. He then as he moved towards the end of the 70’s began a Solo career and had endless hits like, If ya think I’m Sexy, Baby Jane, one of my favourites and saw live singing with Stevie Nicks at the Hard Rock calling festival, Maggie May and Have I told you lately that I love you.

They are but a few, but I could go on and mention more. There have been many artists within music that have not lasted but it has for Rod for over 70 years or so, and to last that long means that he has a forever lasting legacy which will continue to grow passed his life, like many singers of his generation.

Rod never really wrote many of his songs, but collaborated with various artists like Van Morrison, Stevie Nicks from Fleetwood Mac and his best mate who was also a band member of the Faces, Ronnie Wood, who wrote many of Cyndi Lauper songs, which became hits and another Artist I love listening too.

Ronnie and Rod were school friends and grew up together. It is good to have friends in the industry as you can have those who try to intervene and destroy you, but pretend to be a fan and a support, but move the carpet underneath you and try and take your fame away, for themselves.

I would love to see Cyndi Lauper and Rod Stewart do a song together, not hinting by any means but if you are reading this Sir Rod, who is actually Scottish not English, because he really is and you may see him at many of Scotland International matches in football and rugby, but I think it would be a massive hit and many may think they couldn’t because they have different voices, but it can. Noone thought that he would sing a Van Morrison song, with Van Morrison himself, because his music was mainly country and western, but he did.

They sang together live.

Here is a video of Rod Stewart performing with the wonderful and glorious Tina Turner, “It Takes Two”

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8HE1gmkPeZc

His parents was born and raised in Scotland and he spent some of his childhood living their too, and always has respected the country in which he comes from, and has lived in London for a while too, aswell as America. He is but a few that have made it across the water, and will be a name and artist that everyone knows. One of his daughters is an artist too, Kimberley Stewart, and his gorgeous wife Penny is a household name, who was a model to begin with but since then been into photography and helped with the covers of her husband, Sir Rod, CD covers and has also been on loose women.

When he was in the Faces he was destined to be a pin up for many ladies, but since those days, his is very much a Private Family man and word has it he ain’t bad with the old Golf Club. Perhaps he could give my brother a clump being that he thought he was Nick Faldo when playing Pitch ‘n’ Putt, and loves spending Christmas both in America and Scotland.

There is a song that he recorded recently and do feel like I wrote the song in some way as it is the most beautiful song I have ever heard, and that is The First Time.

He does a lot of work with the Royal Family and is often invited to Royal Banquettes and parties, but he doesn’t shy away from being typical Rock and Roller, by the fact that he still sings and performs like he first began his career at the age of 16.

Rod, you are a legend and I hope there will be more songs and albums to come, and that he will do more concerts as I will most definitely be there if you do.

So I will be back next week sharing more Inspiring stories and please see enclosed a Christmas song by Rod Stewart:

Merry Christmas everyone! Many thanks for following my blog it truly is special feeling to know that you like my blog posts and if you have suggestions of content you’d like me to share then please leave a comment below.

Building self confidence, daily habits and rituals, everyone can build a castle, football, jealous and bitter people, life coaching blog writer, looking ahead to a new year, Looking forward to 2021, new life changes, New Years resolutions, self help blog, the winner takes it all

Free Photo | People enjoying themselves at rooftop party

So looking ahead to 2021 I want some changes to come my way and I have set my goals that I am going to talk more about in my Self Confidence blog I write on my related site: https://buildingselfcon nfidencetud.blogspot.com

My self confidence is one of the areas I want to work on.

The Winner takes it all, is a line from a famous ABBA tune, but I think about when I think of when there people so jealous and become the worse version of themselves and next year I am going to get rid of such feelings that I had like that, as it is not good trait and makes you bitter. Those people who are like that end up playing games and I don’t like those that do that, as they end up making you do the same.

Looking forward to 2021 I want,

  • No more jealousy and hatred
  • Have more habits or rituals that I look forward to
  • No more sleeping in, I have done this recently, so going to set my alarm for 9am everyday
  • Speak out more from my mouth instead of my head all of the time

These are going to be life changes for 2021, so I can keep away from Jealous people as they will often befriend you, then slowly stab you in the back. I am not scared or anything I just don’t want such people in my life, and stay away from misery.

I am going to get out more and sit and have a drink in a pub, even if it is an non-alcoholic drink, and create more videos for my Youtube.

Life changes are better than resolutions as you are more likely to stick with them, and they become a breath of fresh air, rather than a burden, which resolutions can be.

I am going to a few football matches next year, as I am very proud to say that the boys I coached when they were under 8 are now playing premiership football, yes indeed and I am dying to see them, as apparently they are doing really well, and want to make sure they are okay and I am absolutley proud of everyone one of them. If you have seen them do you notice something they do, when they are substituted. I installed that into them, as the person they should always shake hands with is the manager, as they are the one who get a lot of stick and should be respected, being they are the ones that pick the team.

So here we go towards a new year and get back out there and spend time with the people who I love, who genuinely love me back and enjoy the year instead of scrapping through it, like I have done this year.

Many thanks for reading,

Being happy, carries blog network, carries education network, carriesrealworld, create further happiness, establishing your goals to end 2020 to get ready for 2021, get ready for a new year, health and wellbeing, less but more, living a more happier life, living a more productive life, living for each day, my books, new things in 2021, taking a break, the parenting adventures

Now even though the beginning of this year was rocky, I did still accomplish many things, like more books and two EBooks, see my listings below:

https://www.amazon.com/s?i=digital-text&rh=p_27%3ACarrie+Challoner&s=relevancerank&text=Carrie+Challoner&ref=dp_byline_sr_ebooks_1

I created two online courses and another one is being developed. So I will let you know when this course will be available. See link to my education network below:

Carries Education Network

I am working on 3 books at the moment as I am re-writing my first book of The Parenting Adventures Pregnancy to the first 9 months. I will let you know when this is published, a comedy and a rewritten book called the Peabody Years.

So to go into 2021 and be more productive, I am going to draft a load more blogs to post, as there is so much I wish to share, and slow down a bit more.

20 Secrets to Living a Happier Life

Image from: https://www.entrepreneur.com/article/315636

Check out article called: 20 Secrets to live a happier life, via the link above.

You can still be productive and take it easy too, but just focusing on 2-3 things each day and week, is much better than doing a whole 25 things to do list. I was doing this and then would blow myself out, and I do take a break from it too, in parts of the year.

JUST BECAUSE YOU WANT TO BUILD A NEW LIFE, DOESN’T MEAN YOU SHOULDN’T TAKE A WELL EARNED BREAK. YOU CAN STILL BE PRODUCTIVE BY TAKING SOME TIME OUT TO DO OTHER THINGS!

Young woman reading magazine lying on grass

As said in my previous posts, it isn’t about quantity but quality, and I really want to take my family to Disney World and have a well earned holiday, as it has been a while, go to a music festival, if they are on, and have loads of family time.

Family dancing in living room spending time on weekend together

Being productive is achieving the things that make you feel good, energized and ready to continue on. If you find parts of your life is boring and needs a change, then make it.

Live your life as you wish to, as long as it isn’t trying to hurt another person, but that makes you and those around you happy. Whenever I have gone out and had a drink with friends, I do get buzz from them, as I love to see them enjoy themselves too, and as it is Christmas soon, I want the rest of this year to be about spending time with those that truly love me, and who I love back and next year to be, about going out more and doing more adventures.

10,000+ Couple Pictures & Images [HD] - Pixabay

I am super in love and that is making me really look forward to next year and what it will bring. I want to do Stand up again, like I did when working at Butlins, write more music like I used to and develop an online shop.

I am going to take my time next year, so no rushing, as I was once called Mrs Rush Rush Rush, but have a purposeful day and do what is important to help me and adds value to my life.

You can never have too much happy. Free Spirit Girl | Words, Quotes, Summer quotes

So lets get ready for 2021 and see what it brings. Remember to live it like you want to and don’t allow those that want to continue to be haters and unhappy to stop you.

Please check out my new video, showing more of what I like to write on this channel and please remember, if you wish to keep up to date with my posts on this site, to click the follow button below.

So there will be more to come and I want to share an Erin May Henry video talking about my much love subject, setting goals, as they map your life for more good things to come and helps you to grow.

Many thanks for reading,

Hello and welcome to another blog post. In this one I am sharing some inspiring videos, that has given me a great boost of energy.

Check out this video by ClutterBug who shared a video about 7 Habits for a Highly effective home.

If you have read my previous blogposts Some Youtube Favourites I like to watch for inspiration and growth then you will know I am a big fan of MuchelleB who does lot of videos which talk about positive habits, what to do when you have low amount of motivation and how to be more productive.

In this video I am sharing of MuchelleB channel is about A Simple Way to Re-Motivate Yourself When You’ve Hit a Wall We can all hit what I call “A brick wall” where we feel so unmotivated and just want to do nothing. I find her videos so uplifting, including this one I have linked above.

She has also created a video about How to upgrade your life with better decision making. as we can often choose the wrong path. which knocks us off our our feet.

Life to me is about personal growth and being a better version of purselves, and listening and learning from others.

If you know of any Youtube creators that you would like to recommend to me, then please do so in the comments section below.

Keep well and stay safe and I will write another blog on this site on Saturday.

What to do when you are stressed?

block scheduling, Creating happiness, everyone can build a castle, Feeling overwhelmed, feeling stressed out, focusing on one task at a time, multitasking, running a business and home, slow down, taking care of your wellbeing, what to do when you are stressed

Free stress control classes on offer | Lurgan Mail

When it comes to running a home and running a business you can end up feeling somewhat stressed, making you self sabotage and not wanting to do anything. but push it away.

The one way I deal with stress is I get up and I go out or I will take just a minute or so to breath and register the stress. Please check out my parenting blog where I talk about Reducing Parenting Stress.

Stress can creep up on you, and take over your body. I remember as a teenager at Secondary school I had a load of blisters and Ulcers at the bottom of my mouth, and I went to the doctor as my immune system kept getting rather low, the doctor diagnosed it as stress.

I remember thinking “What? How come?” but thinking back I was often stressed at school, because I did feel under pressure because I never consider myself as being academic, and felt out of my depth a lot of the time.

I would get worked up when it came to doing PE and having to run around the school we used to do or the beep test. I hated doing those, and was so unfit, that I wished the ground would swallow me up.

As an adult I thought life would be easier once I had my own place, and went to work, but it can increase. I for a long time and even now at times, I can be a super stress head, worrying about my son and school, my financial situation, my living arrangements, it can all mount up.

Mel Robbins who I talk a lot about in my blog posts, because I think she is so real and gets it, did a video a week or so ago about What she does when she is stressing the F**k out, see below:

Stress can get anyone and cause problems to your body if you don’t do anything about it. Never ignore the stress as it will just build up until you explode, and let it all out, but take a step back and let it come through and then focus on a time you have not stressed and find a picture of your younger self and see if you still feel stressed. once you have looked at this picture. Tell that picture of how you feel and what your mindset was back then, when you were a child, do you feel stressed? Happy go lucky?

Then go through what is going on in your life and do a step to step plan of how you are going to conquer the items that need to be completed and break them up.

Often we can give ourselves so much to do, that we forget, we are only one person and anyone would be stressed having to do 26 jobs in a day. Break it up and start circling the most important items, and how you complete each task and stop multitasking. I thought at one time that was how you get things done, but it isn’t because you can end up not finishing a job at all, and feel like you haven’t accomplished anything.

Focus on one item at a time, and create yourself a block schedule, so example:

6am – 7am Get up, have shower and get ready for the day

7am- 8am Make all beds and start cleaning around the house, putting items away as I go

8am – 10am Work on the computer and go through email.

I write many journals and so I always keep a journal to write down my feelings if I am unhappy about something and the things that are bothering me.

It is all about finding that thing that makes you take a deep breath and say “I am gonna be ok and I can get through this and I will rein myself in to just concentrate of feeling peace within myself again”.

Take regular breaks within your day to enjoy a coffee without having to do any work and just be with your cup of coffee until it is finished.

Take your time. I remember when I worked at a holiday resort, and this guy saying to me “Slow down it isn’t a race” and in that moment I did, I didn’t realise how fast I was going. I was so used to working at a fast pace that I forgot about my colleagues, as this would often stress them out as they often couldn’t keep up with me, so I did I just stopped and then slowed down.

So I hope you have a good weekend as it is Saturday once again and if you are not following me on WordPress.com and would like to, then please click the follow button below.

12 Inspirational Quotes (with Free Templates) - Easil

Hello and welcome to a new blog post. So if you didn’t know  by now, I am a big fan of Youtube and make it an essential part of my day to watch videos, as I do find many of those that make videos on Youtube inspirational and thought I would share which ones in particular.

So here are some Youtube Favourites I like to watch for inspiration and growth.

  1. The first person that comes into my mind is Erin May Henry.

She does a lot of content on entrepreneurship and living your best life, and I always make sure I watch one of her videos as soon as I see that a new one has been published, and have even saved some of her videos onto one of my playlists so I can go back to them if I wish to, as sometimes I need that lift and boost of inspiration to get myself ready for the days and weeks ahead.

She creates a lot of content of how to organize your life and plan your days, and make time for yourself too, and the most favourite topic is when she talks about writing a journal as I love writing a journal and she always inspires me to do so.

2. Do it on a dime.

This lady is a teacher and has two boys, and creates a lot of videos on organization and how you can save money by purchasing items from stores like the dollar tree and make them look more expensive and classy compared to how much they cost.

For me along with Erin May Henry they make life see so much simple  and that anything is possible if you put your mind to it.

3. Jordan Paige.

I absolutely adore this lady. She is a mum of 8 children now, as she not long ago gave birth to twins, and creates a lot of videos based around her family on how to budget, organize and plan, and boy does she inspire me.

Following her tips on budgeting has helped me alot that I am more conscious and take more care when buying items, and how much I spend on groceries each month and week.

4. MuchelleB

This lady creates a lot of content about being productive and creating positive habits and do a weekly reset to help spread out the days and weeks  including selfcare days aswell.

It is people like MuchelleB that make me see that life isn’t about struggles but challenges that can easily be overcome and still have a fulfilled life.

5. Mel Robbins

I often talk about this ladies work and content because she makes life seem so effortless at times, and is so real aswell, that it is okay to have days where you want time out and just be for a day or two.

She is the lady who created the 5 second rule and honestly her strategies do work, I can vouch for that and would not have a week without watching her content and following her methods.

6. Rachel Cruze

I discovered this lady’s content by browsing through Youtube for more financial type of content and her videos are brilliant. Along with Jordan Paige, she gives some great tips and advice about money and how to get more out of your cash rather than wasting it on things you do not need.

Her advice again, is simple but effective and would not be without it.

7. Tony Robbins

Not seen any new content recently but from the videos I have watched, he is truly an empowering man and again breaks his strategies of thinking differently about life and how to change it, so simple.

All you have to do is break the pattern and he shows you how in simple terms that you can do in your day to day life.

8. Miss Trenchcoat

From when I first discovered Youtube I have enjoyed this lady’s content, she shares a lot of planner and entrepreneurship videos and is truly inspirational.

When I first began writing a blog and creating content on Youtube, I went to her videos for advice and motivation, and was so effective and brilliant.

She breaks it down step by step, and goes through how she plans her content and how she has developed a successful business.

9. Trinny London

If you loved the UK TV programme Trinny and Susannah or know of it, then you would be familiar with Trinny’s Youtube videos, which is a lot about fashion, beauty and skincare.

If you are on Instagram or Facebook then you can find live videos on a week to week basis by Trinny and makes you want to dive into your wardrobe and style it up.

With her content it has really helped me with my style and what I love to wear both in skincare and in fashion, and will continue to watch Trinny’s content for inspiration advice, forever more.

10.  Shea Wintney

Again this is a new channel I have started to watch but I really enjoy watching and being inspired by,  because her content is a lot about what not to waste your money on and what you should try to get more out of your life and just talking about everyday things.

I particular enjoyed a video she did about items you should not waste your money on, as I am guilty of wasting money on popular recommended products which turn out to be total crap.

If you have any recommended Youtube channels you think I might like to watch then please leave a comment below.

Many thanks for all those that have left such positive words about my posts and for following me, and I will post on this channel again at the weekend.

Many thanks for reading,

I felt I needed to share this as I do find Music so empowering. I discovered this song yesterday, even though it was 7 years ago since published, I only found it yesterday and it was one of the moments where I thought, where had I been? How come I have not come across this song?

When my son was a baby the two things that calmed him down if he woke up from his nap grumpy was one of two things, music and books.

The songs that we have together is the song Come Chameleon, save all your kisses for me and Flying Pickets, Only You.

Music is so empowering that there isn’t a day that goes by without me spending half and hour or so just playing and listening to track after track.

It can take you back in time, remind you of someone that is no longer in your life or a place. Music is versatile and is forever revolving.

The one programme I miss is a UK programme called Top Of The Pops and that was a massive show to be on. Star after star would take to the stages of that show, and was only a Thursday every week at 7:30pm.

I now when I can watch the repeats on BBC 4.

Music can do wonders and has been used to save peoples lives, like Comic Relief songs and Children in Need, Band Aid and We are the World.

So if you need a bit of a push and a shove to get empowered wack on some tunes and let the days and nights begin, bringing back those happy events, for new ones to arrive.

Creating a Vision Board

Creating a vision board, Erin may henry, everyone can build a castle, goals, having a vision, smart, your vision board not working, Youtube

Do you have a vision of where you would like your life to go?

Or want in your life, then why not create a vision board. They are a great way to achieving your goals.

However it has to have purpose and a meaning, and realistic.

Think of the word SMART ( Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic and Timely).

Specific

Make it detailed and specific to an area in your life, and have a purpose. Example one of mine is to go walking again every day for 20 minutes, during the day.

Measurable

How long will it take until I see my fitness improve, and I would say in about 6 to 12 weeks.

Attainment

It should be easily done and will use my health app on phone to count the amount of steps I do each day

Realistic

It has to be possible, so walking 20 minutes each day should work out wonders for me, and easily be achieved every day

Timely

How long something will take, so 20 minutes each day will be attainable and achievable.

Erin May Henry has a video talking about why your vision board is not working, and give strategies to make it work for you.

Please comment below of what you think of Vision boards I would love to hear from you, and remember to follow me to keep up to date with my blogs and you can also visit my site https://carriesblognetwork.squarespace.com where you can subscribe to also be posted about my blogs.
