It has been a while since I last did a book review, and have an All About Books’ video coming, (check out my previous video I did) and will be on my main Youtube channel as I finished two books this month and still challenging myself to read a book a month and got in the habit of reading before I go to bed again, rather than travelling.
This book review is talking about the High 5 Habit by Mel Robbins. I listened to it on audible because I find it easier when it is a self help book and when ever my son does something good we high 5 and I have begun to high five myself in the mornings and give myself credit rather feel bad about myself.
She spoke such sense and doing habits like not having my phone by my bed, because it can affect how we wakeup in the mornings and it has made a difference as I do sleep for a longer and make sure I have a good nights sleep. I no longer allow my son to take his tablet to bed and this has made a difference as he can fall a sleep quickly and for a lot longer, because he wakes up really early in the week, and not have his tablet too early in the morning and we both sleeping in, which I need at the weekends because of the travelling I do each week and need it to wake up better and get stuck planned down and use my weekends to take my son out and not feeling tired the whole day.
So check it out and I would give in 10 out of ten and the good thing about audible (I am not sponsored) you keep the books in your library and forever and go back to them, which those like the High 5 Habit because I like to listen to these types of books again.
If you know of more books that I like it, please recommend by filling in the comments below.
Hello welcome to a new blog and thank you for liking my blogs and following me. I just filmed a new video and so going to edit and put this up tonight for my Life Coaching programme, “Summer Project 2022”, and is about Summer Anxieties living in the city and can be body confidence, travelling and going on Holiday in the UK and abroad. If you’d like to watch my videos then you can via this link: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCUDFIqjVKLy7NhtcR6Hy0Tg
With the summer comes many anxieties and this was not being tanned, but now no longer worry as like looking after my body, and so I just sit outside and enjoy it and now feel happy with my skin tone. I am not moaning about the Summer, because it is nice but find it too hot to sit out in the heat all day so one habit that I do to protect my skin, I go out in the morning and plan as I write this blog to go out there in the garden and read some of my book later when it begins to cool down and sit in the shade.. My food habits change too, and I eat and wake up early. This morning being a Sunday I do find because I don’t set an alarm get up later, and did get to sleep in today, and then took Henry, my son this morning to one of our local parks and was lovely in the shade watching him making friends with other kids playing football.
It is good to plan for the summer and do different things compared to what you do in the Autumn and Winter and still be productive. I find I am more prone to do exercise in the summer and soon my son will be breaking up for the School Summer Holidays and so going to make sure that I plan ahead and let the worries go. Living in a city it is good that there are always shops to get any bits you may forget and eases the anxiety and worry. Worry is a habit that I try and stay clear of because it can effect me enjoying the day. I get to explore and enjoy my son’s company and him enjoying himself, to create good memories and share such great times.
I have suffered with anxiety since a kid and has become a habit that I have found tricky to stop because I have had it for so long. I now do different practices to stop those feelings of self-doubt that has often dictated my life. I listen to Mel Robbins who developed the 5 Second Rule and The High 5 Habit, and have tried both and they do exactly what she says and has helped me since i discovered her videos and books. #melrobbins
So lets all have a good summer and will be back with more blogs and videos. You can also find my content on Pinterest too and I am also on Instagram and have two other Youtube channels and other blogs, see below:
Hello, so if you don’t know what I am talking about then please read my last weeks blog about it Monday rest/will I get it done . I wanted to see if this was a good habit to get into and plan doing this as a weekly habit. This was talked about a lot on Youtube and wasn’t sure if I could do it. So I decided I would try it out.
It helped set the day and a week on a high. So am going to do the same this Monday. I will be dusting my windowsill and fire place. Then I am going to vacuum and clear my rubbish. My laundry has all been done which never usually happened. I would put these jobs off.
It helped me to continue my monthly challenge for June, which was to sort one area of my life and both have helped me hand in hand, because it just helps with having the energy, and today as I write this blog Sunday Evening, I have done more today than I have done in a week.
This doesn’t mean I didn’t take a break. I did. I watched some of the Glastonbury Music Festival and feel ready to start a new week.
It is good to have structure and I live by having a routine. I need to set myself up and prep, with everything I do so I don’t lose momentum.
This is the key to getting more out of your day. I hate the word chore because it instantly puts me off. I like goal, because it is something I can build on. Something I can progress and sorting my life out is what keeps me afloat and awake.
Changing my habits from bad to good, is setting the tone of where I see myself. It gives me balance and is another key factor. If you have two bags of different weights this can be tricky to carry, but if they are at the same level then it is easier to carry.
So find balance in your life and build on your good habits and this will teach you, how to feel good and content, and feel that you’ve got more out of your days, rather than sitting int he same four walls all of the time.
I do write books that are about having a better wellbeing and how to get things done, on amazon, under the names Carrie Challoner and Carrie Holmes.
Now I know we are in Lockdown still but we have to face the fact that it looks like it won’t be shifting anytime soon, but we can still create positivity and even create more knowing we haven’t got to rush anywhere.
Organize a space a day. So I am not an organization enthusiast at all, it always gets put at the back of the list but doesn’t mean I don’t try. I love pottering around and when I had my own place, I would see a place that needed sorting out and just did it. It doesn’t have to be something that takes all day. I am moving soon, it is definite in London, and so looking forward to it and yes be organizing the best I can, to make it homely and comfy, which for me is important and with my new man
Add a new positive habit. So each morning I will spend sometime journalling, go through my notepad to help keep tabs with what I have done each day and that needs to be done, and journal using my new Mrs Hinch Activity Book and now I choose a song to tweet and is music that has been part of my life. Plus I write in one of my planners things I wish to do each evening before I shut up shop for the day
Take up a new skill. I love doing short online courses and will be doing more and I have some Online courses in Customer Service and it is great to learn different things and it is so easy to do now we have the joy of the internet. Check out my Education Network: https://carrieseducationnetwork.thinkific.com/
Read a bit a day. If you are struggling to read a book then have time set each day to do some and what I do often is try to, depending on the length of a book, is to read a chapter a day. I love reading and it can take me a while at times, but is something I have loved as a kid and it just helps me switch off and do something for myself each day.
Read other motivation blog posts and article. As part of my job as a writer I do have to often do research and read other blogs and articles. Let me just add I do not copy but it is for inspiration and motivates me to keep creating original content of my own and be in touch with the blog writing world. Here is one blog I enjoy reading via a site called Bloglovin: https://theeverygirl.com/
Do from 5 to 10 minutes of exercise a day. I do like to exercise but since being run down I haven’t done any for a few weeks but when I do it does relax me in a funny kind of way and helps get up and get out of bed each day. See my site where I talk about keeping fit: https://sportsandfitnesscoaching.com
Eat one healthy meal a week if not everyday and plan a fun meal each day. I love theme meals some days and it just helps with being happy to cook and motivates me to buy certain foods, each week. Check out my blog site: https://carrieshomestyleandfashion.wordpress.com site where I do a weekly Shopping ideas and Meal ideas weekly post
Create an online course of your own. I love developing new Online courses as well as enrolling on them and it can be so easy now. There is Thinkific and Skillshare where you can set up courses with no costs involved
Life doesn’t have to be the same everyday and you still being in Lockdown can have fun and be with family.
Never be stuck in a rut but make changes that will help you through this Pandemic and remember with the wonders of the Internet and modern technology we can still socialise and have a Zoom meeting each week to interact with people we still have in our lives and remember Facetime too.
Many thanks for reading,
Carrie L.M X

Hello and I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas as you can, being that we are in a Lockdown again.
Lockdown shouldn’t mean you have to stop creating success in your life and should egg you on to be more successful than ever before.
Now if you have not set a plan for 2021 for this to happen then there is no time like the present. To get started I want you to look on the web and go through all the things you have already achieved. To do this on the spot can make your mind go blank so just take some time to go through this, and then write it down.
Then when looking at these achievements, ask yourself, would I like to carry these on or want different achievements for 2021? Then write new achievements you want to accomplish, and then map it how you wish to get there.
Example: I want one of my goals to be to get back working out indoors again.
Check online for indoor fitness workouts
Have your workout gear already on
Do the workout
Then schedule in another workout even if it once a week to begin with
That is mapping it out. You do not have to do a whole chunk of stuff at one time because from experience, this is not a good idea as it can cause you to give up, as you have done too much too soon.
Gradual steps is a better way to blend yourself into the change you wish to make in your life.
If you would like to see more about my fitness then check out my site:
Then when you have mapped it out, then I want you to put together a vision board, and you can do this using a laptop via Microsoft Publisher, physically by cutting pages or pictures from magazines or using Pinterest.
Picture the visions of you working out or running the business you want to launch, and write about it, what you see, feel, body language, how you see people seeing you and how it will change your life forever.
If you would like to add as a positive habit, as the habits we have in our lives can dictate how we feel and look at our lives and if there is an area that needs to change to help us towards our goals, then make it. Is there something you do that you wish you could stop? As a bad habit is a bad behaviour and makes us resent ourselves, but when we make a positive habit, makes us pleased with ourselves and is a good behaviour, leading us to create our dreams.
Check out my vision board I have created on Pinterest these are things I know are going to happen for me next year and other things I would like to happen, not all in the space of a month but spread out across the year 2021:
I will be creating one using my White board but going to do this after Christmas.
When you have created the vision, then keep a note of each item and decide which one you would like to do first and set a deadline.
Have a calendar so you can mark it out, and make a list of items that may get in the way of completing this goal on your vision board but can work around the item already scheduled, and it helps to go through important dates you need to keep tabs on like family members birthdays for example. It will then give you an idea of what and where will the item on your vision board will fit in.
Go through the ones that are most important for to you first, and one way to do this is circle the items or put them in a category of A, B and C.
Remember these goals are to fulfill you not make you exhausted, so them out and give yourself rest time to.
I will post more as we get to the new year as I am going to create a Course and Ebook called Project 2021 to help you have a more success life and feeling of accomplishment and a better wellbeing.
Sometimes in order to get things done and to enjoy life as it is, being ruthless in 2020 is what you need to do.
Life is full of hurdles and obstacles, and instead of avoiding them, facing them head on is the way to deal with them and build yourself to be the success you want to be.
If there is a course or subject you wanted to learn that will help you towards your goal, then do it and envision yourself doing the things you have always wanted to learn about, that will help you to succeed in whatever field you choose.
Ignore the critics, they are often just doing this because they feel threatened by your confidence and are being envious that they haven’t got the guts you have.
Never feel that there isn’t enough success to go around because there is, that is how we have millionaires like Richard Branson, Lord Alan Sugar, Tony Robbins, Grand Cardone etc, and learning from these guys can teach you how by doing little changes to your pattern in life, can change your outlook and see that you too can have a nice car, property, the love of your life and free time to whatever you want.
Take yourself out of your comfort zone and challenge yourself. I knew for example as a kid that I wanted to win the cup at my dancing school for having the highest marks. It took a lot of lessons and time to perfect my dancing which was ballroom, latin and disco dancing, and in doing so I finally as it was my last exam in the child’s section won the kids highest marks trophy and the year after being classed as an adult competitor, won the cup, the one I had wanted as soon I saw it, for the highest marks.
This meant I had beaten the children and all the adults by having the highest scores.
I knew that in order for me to get my dancing to top level, I had to stop the nerves I felt when I took my exams to pass so I could focus on getting every dance and step right. It didn’t happen overnight it took time, but I made sure I went to every class on Saturday morning I created the vision, going through my head the routines and practicing at home, and I did it, I won the cup.
So don’t sit back and be ruthless with yourself, set those goals and ambitions and be the best person you have ever wanted to be.
Hello it is the end of the week and I have been putting together my daily and weekly habits that I want to comply for myself, to help kick start my days and weeks.
Here is a preview of my daily and weekly habits to help give your ideas of what to do:
Below is my weekly must do list:
What I plan to do is to print them off laminate them and cross each item off once completed each day.
Creating positive habits is a great way to make time for yourself aswell as looking after others, especially if you have children.
Set a side time to do things you want to do, rather them being dictated by someone else.
Be as creative as you want to be, and this also sets a positive example for your children, to give themselves love and attention, aswell helping them to become independent.
