Hello and welcome! Now you aren’t seeing things I was writing this blog post at 3:25am, and once again someone has tried to destroy my soul, but everytime this happens I am not going to stay down but fight and let them know that they don’t scare me at all, and are just doing it for the sake of it.

I would sleep but if you read my previous blog post I have been having terrible nightmares. I can’t wait to start again and have a fresh new year to create and make lots, for you, and would like to say Thank you from the bottom of my heart for following me on this site and for liking my posts too. I do want to be away from my present situation. I no longer want to live where I was in Epsom, but live in London still and want a new life.

Here is a link to my previous post:

https://everyonecanbuildacastle.com/2020/12/27/reflecting-on-the-year-2020/

So how do you handle those who try to destroy and never support you,

  • Don’t give them the benefit. I.E: Focus on those who do have your back and if you aren’t ready to talk about it, allow the time with the person to switch off from those trying to hurt you
  • Create a plan to move away from them, and never allow their anger to rub off on you, and set them straight that they do not intimidate you, and they are making themselves look senile and stupid
  • Tell someone outside the situation. I suppose this is related to the first tip, but there are those that can have your back, but once you try to talk to them, they can shut you down and say to you that they do not wish to be invoved, so talking to someone on the outside, can be your safesst option
  • If they try to inprison you can call the Police as it is illegal to do this. It is a form of emotional abuse and a form of bullying
  • Bullies come as a pack usually, not as an individual so see if you can speak with the culprit on their own or have someone with you, to confront them. I used to think this wasn’t a good idea, but often when they see they can’t hurt you to get the reaction they want, they will give in or get more angrier and if they physically harm you then don’t stay silent, get help and support
  • If they begin to exclude you then don’t let this get to you, and get out of the situation for a bit. If they try to isolate you allow them to do so, so you can pop out and be with the rest of the world for a bit
  • They may try to push as many boundaries as possible to press your buttons, that will make you turn and be physical with them. Make it clear that they can do what they want but are just going to make it worser for themselves, and you do not care
  • If they start using your kids against you and not allowing you time with the children in your family, even if they aren’t yours then remind them you care for them too and would not do them any harm, or inform them if you are the parent of the child that you have a right to be with your kids not them. If they aren’t the mother either talk to the parent of what that person keeps doing and then talk to them once they are on their own to say, that there behaviour is not right and that you have a right to talk and entertain those children too
  • They turn everything you say. Keep a journal with date and details of the conversation, or record it. When they do this then remember that their hurtful words are more about them and not you. They just feel that you should be target number one, and want to bring you down to their level.
  • They make you feel that you are fighting a losing battle, because you feel that you can’t win, no matter what you do. So just do what you can. I got blamed about washing up, yet I always washed up but then someone didn’t like me doing that, so it was like “So what do you want me to do?”

Life can feel especially when you have these people in your lives hard work, but it needs not to be and so have a safe haven, a place you can go to take you away from those people, mine is my local gardens or the town where I now live in London.

Have something that helps you stay calm, as often people who want to destroy are doing it to get a reaction of hate back and to make you cry or be angry.

Meditation is a great way to switch off, or like I do, I get engrossed in my work whilst listening to music and sing my heart out, and this helps me stay calm, focused on the things that do love me and I love too.

Please stay true to yourself and strong and we can get through the time that are tough together and get rid of the negativiity that can often takeover our lives.

I wish you a good week as it is Monday again, and if I don’t post before new years Eve, then Happy New year and lets embrace 2021, which shines with many positive things.

Many thanks for reading,

Carrie (L.M) X

becoming a fulltime writer, being my own worse enemy, everyone can build a castle, living in a nightmare, living my dream, looking back over 2020, music that has helped me, reflecting on the year 2020, the best parts of the year, the first 5 months of the year gone

I am listening to an ABBA song because music is one of my many healers, I was in the process of talking to a person in my life about this year and I still can’t talk about the first 5 months of this year, without wanting to break down.

Personal Reflection Quotes. QuotesGram

I wrote a post, reviewing this year and want reflect on it too, as I want to address some parts that I am finding hard to talk about.

So at the beginning of his year from December to this year in March I was shaking like a leaf, was taking Diazapans, aswell as other medication and was a total mess. I was being hurt and if I say what, I know there will be people who won’t believe me, but I miscarried a lot this year without telling anyone.

I have been seeing someone new, as my marriage was over and I have now a proper true love but he was targetted to, and I have said this before, but it has felt like 4 years in one.

Saying Goodbye Stock Illustrations, Cliparts And Royalty Free Saying Goodbye Vectors

I was very suicidal and had a nervous breakdown indoors at one point and I still reflecting, I was having the most horrific nightmares that I am still having them, where I was going to be raped by a gang of bent Police officers, or be involved in a plane crash or be in a building that was collasping, the list goes on and on, but all there needs to be said is that they were so horrible that I still can’t sleep through the night.

Even now I write this I am breaking down, as honestly they have been the most horrendous nightmares I have ever had and I have been sleeping this part of he year up until midday, because I am scared of going to sleep at night.

I just was living in a nightmare, that at one point I thought would never end. I am writing about it now because I would never want anyone reading this to ever go through that. I realised that those who were making out were my friends, weren’t and that also were in my dreams too.

I feel very let down by some people and want this year to be gone. The other good thing that happened for me though, is that I am now a full time writer, which has been one of my ambitions since I was a kid, and I hope to be working in TV by next year, if all goes to plan.

BOOK WRITING QUOTES | Writing quotes, Writer quotes, Writing

I am now listening to a track that I have played a lot this year and it is the song, One & One by Robert Miles sung by Maria Nayler. It really has made me look at my life and see that there were a lot of begruding people in it, and I just want rid of all of that.

I want to be allowed at 42 years old, to live the life I have always wanted. I never once ever begrudged anyone, I was envious of people but knowing how they were, very two-faced some of them, glad that I am not like them and I am my own person, and have made my own journey into being the woman I was always destined to be, and I need to learn to give myself more credit than I do, as I can be my own worst enemy, and to stop doubting myself and that I can make it happen for myself.

So I want you all to do one thing for me. Look at yourself life like you have never done before and go through all that you have achieved in your life and the person you are and want to be.

You can do this anytime and at any age. I was writing journals since I learned to write which was very early as a kid, and loved making stories and writing music. It was a hobby that allowed me to switch off and be in my own little world. Keeping a journal is another way I am going to do this too.

Let me know what you have written down if you wish to share them with me either in the comments section below or if you would like me to see but not publish on this blog you can email me at carriesblognetwork@gmail.com.

So I hope the next few days before the new years is a relaxing one for you and there will be more to come on this site and I will keep you posted, once I have these up on this site.

Many thanks for reading,

I am so looking forward to a new year as I have many things on the horizon and if you haven’t set your life changes for the new year on its way, then there is no time like the present.

What type of Life changes can you make? Here are Ten Ways to building your life for 2021:

  1. Getting up earlier than you have been. I find when I sleep in until midday it uses a lot of my day. It is okay to do this occasionally but not all the time. So set your alarm earlier, then eventually your body clock will adapt.
  2. What I eat. I have lost a lot of weight this month as I don’t have a lunch each day now, but I eat when I am hungry and lowered my shopping budget from £40 a week to max £20 and lower each week.
  3. Get into fitness. I have stopped doing regular exercise for bit, but do go out walking. I am going to do a boxercise workout each week starting from Christmas Day, like I do each year. I love going for a walk on Christmas Day and this year is no different.
  4. Lower Social Media time. We can spend a lot of time on our phones, checking our Facebook and Twitter, that it can take over. I don’t spend a lot of time on social media. I use it to promote my blogs or celebrate an occasion or wish someone I know a happy birthday, but that is basically it.
  5. Practice Self Care. I talk a lot about this a lot on this site, because part of being successful, is that your work evolves without continuously touching it so there are times where I can sit back and watch a bit of TV if I want to.
  6. Read a book. My ex always would go on about how reading is so boring, to the point where I’d say “Have you heard yourself recently?”. I love setting myself time to read a book. It can help with my writing and on grammar, communication and with speech. I would encourage everyone to read as it can do wonders to your mind and wellbeing.
  7. Keep a journal. I love having a journal and documenting things. It is so good to have all what is bothering me emptied out of my mind and cleared.
  8. Give yourself a make over. This could go under Self care, but to build your life in 2021 is to spend time for yourself, so you can feel good aswell as looking after other people. It is good to buy some new clothes, get your hair done and have your make up done for you. Why not buy yourself a Christmas gift and having make over can be one of them.
  9. Cook your favourite meal. So as we are heading towards Christmas once again, we will be left with Turkey unused and probably having it for a full two weeks until it has been all eaten, so why not post Christmas day heading towards a new year, if you have this time off, to cook another favourite meal that you like, aswell as Christmas Dinner to help you to feel happy. I find making a meal from scratch theruptic, and when I get my own place again I will be doing this a lot.
  10. Go out and Socialise. So I know there is still news on COVID, but please do not allow it to stop you from seeing your friends and family. Just make sure everyone who comes into your home washes and sanitises their hands, and when out do the same if they have Sanitiser available. We have spent a lot of this year staying away from those we love, so let the new year be where you go out more and see all your friends like we did before COVID and explore.

I hope you have a good rest of 2020 but I am looking forward to move away from this year and start a new.

2021, Being happy, creating a new start, establishing your goals to end 2020 to get ready for 2021, everyone can build a castle, Following your dreams, following your heart, Life changes, new beginning, new foundation, preparing for another year

A new year for me is a new beginning and want this time round to be a fresh start, as this year 2020, has been the hardest one I have had to face since being alive and I want it to have a happy ending and be ready for another new year ahead.

If you have seen my last two posts about setting myself new goals and establishing them, you will see that I have cut them down this year, and if you have followed me for a while on this site, I like to make Life changes rather than resolutions.

Cheat Sheet: What To Do After Christmas

New Cheat Sheet that I post weekly and it is tips for After Christmas

Carries Blog Network's avatar by Carries Blog Network December 15, 2025

For the last 5 years I have really had to battle with my mental health and deal with people who haven’t been nice to me at all, and I have discovered who my real friends are and who my real family are.

This year I am not going to do a whole list of things, as it isn’t about quantity its about quality and what I truly want to achieve and add into my life.

5,247 Goal Setting Photos - Free & Royalty-Free Stock Photos from Dreamstime

I have already planned my books I am going to concentrate and write for next year to be published and I hope to expand my blog sites even more and focus sometime building up my Youtube channel again.

I have battled a lot again with my self confidence as it did get knocked quite a lot this year, but will do more exercises and journalling to help rebuild it.

For me it has always been a working progress. I need to give myself more credit and not feel like I have to answer for myself when I do.

I have met a new man in my life who loves me out of this world, and I can’t wait to start a new life with him.

I have had to build a new foundation for myself, but feel that good things will come my way, I just need to keep going, have time for myself too, but not allow anyone to dictate my life.

I like having people look out for me and take me under their wing, but not too the point where I need to ask permission to go to the toilet and it be wrong.

So I am going to keep going and add more blogs leading up to Christmas and another new year, and pray that this time round it is a brilliant start to my life and end of another chapter.

Learning to be more grateful in your life

being in the present, being thankful, everyone can build a castle, feeling more positive in your life, focus on the now, having a gratitude journal, Learning to be more grateful in your life, live for today, living for the now, taking it easy

8 Love Quotes To Inspire You (With images) | Blessed life quotes ...

There are times when life can feel like an endless struggle especially when you become an adult because of the sudden responsibilities you never had before.

However learning to be more grateful in your life can help you be more positive rather than feeling worn down by life.

I now have a journal where I will regularly write down the things I am most grateful for, and there are loads of things, like my son, my writing and my music.

Life would be the same if these things were in it and has helped keep from feeling bored and unmotivated. Doing a weekly reset can really help and that is writing everything you have in your head and decluttering, watching TV or reading a book rather than rushing around feeling worn out.

Today I am feeling like having a day indoors rather than going outside, because I am more likely to spend money if I do and fancy a no spending weekend and just taking it easy before the week where I will be busy again taking my son out as it is the school summer holidays.

We all need time to reflect and I do that a lot to slow myself down and to focus on the things I want to do now rather than focusing about other days.

I think we all, and I am guilty of this to, focus so much on what we have go to do tomorrow and next week, instead of focusing on what we have to do now, and so spending time reflecting on the things you are grateful of what is currently around you, can make a difference to how you feel the next day and in a weeks time.

The Journals that I keep

achievements journal, diary keeping, everyone can build a castle, fitness journal, gratitude journal, happy journal, journal, Keeping a journal, keeping happy memories, lifestyle living, the journals that I keep, weekly journal, writing, writing down insecurities

As you can see by the title I love a journal and  the ones I have listed are the ones that are with me now. I also have fitness journal and one where I put if something is bothering me and I am going to pick these up today, to carry on filling these in aswell.

I like to write down my daily achievements to go through what I have accomplished each day, and you’ll be surprised when you start doing this how much you can achieve on a day to day basis, and give yourself some down time too, because that is just as important.

my achievement journal

My happy journal is to keep any happy memories in about me and my son, and all the good things we do together, and this I have added photos of us together, and many greeting cards that have made me smile.

The front cover of my happy journalInside my happy journal

The gratitude journal I have is to put all the things I am grateful for each day and it really helps me to take in all that is around me, that I am grateful for.

my gratitude journal

Then my Weekly journal is where I put any insecurities I had specifically that week, what is going on around me now, if I had any quiet time, what I specifically liked that week and at the weekend, and any goals I had for that week.

The point of a journal is to get deep within yourself and go through your current feelings and fears, and with writing them down can help gain perspective and make sense of the things that I am particularly worried about in the week or day.

I find it just helps clear all the clutter going on in my head and not really to resolve any issues but face them head on, and work out how to deal with them.

Once I have journalled I do feel a hell of a lot better and then I can then get on with my day without worrying so much.

There are no rules when it comes to journalling and you can design and make it as personal as possible.

Many thanks for reading,

Free Reward Cliparts, Download Free Clip Art, Free Clip Art on ...Hello and welcome! It is the middle of the week and I have started to bullet journal again, and going through what I have achieved over the weekends and weekdays has been a real eye opener to see what I can do just within two to three days.

Life isn’t really all about quantity but quality, making everyday count from the moment you wake up to the moment you go to bed.

I am all about productivity and using the time I have free to not just focus on what I have to do or go to do, but on what I want to do.

I like spending time being peaceful, watching the world go by not worrying about my to do’s for half an hour to an hour, and just be.

Going through everything I have accomplished through the day has helped take things steady and have even gotten round to making a proper blog schedule that I can stick to, and that has helped with having more time to be just with myself in my mind, not having to rush anywhere.

Acknowledging your achievements can empower your look on life and create more abundance, and value for each day. Being stuck in four walls which many have had to do, because of COVID 19 has taken its toll, so now we can travel and explore again, I can do more to fulfill my life which gives me a better wellbeing.

Life doesn’t have to be all about working hard, but living, being spontaneous on some days, going beyond the norm and creating a more happier and stable life.

Many thanks for reading,

Carrie X
