It Sunday evening and I am in my bedroom and aswell as listening to a chat of Fearn Cotton and Sara Fox, and I have been challenging myself this month to sort out one area a day in my life, including my blogs and social media sites, and tomorrow I want to do each Monday a Reset, and do my laundry, Vacuum and change my bedding and have a really good morning reset to begin the week.
Yet as soon as I think of it the energy in doing these tasks, puts me off. I know I will be like, “I’ll do it once I have had my first cup of tea”, “Oh let me just watch this Youtube video and I’ll get it done”, are you the same? Comment below.
I also need to call the doctors because I have a swollen eye due to Hayfever, and has been really sore, and only just remembered that, as I write this blog post. I know I can do a reset, but especially in the morning I am going to have to really push myself to get out of the bed to do anything. Yet last week before I had my first cuppa and breakfast did a sort out of my clothes. Seeing the result made it worth it. I know I am going to be nervous about calling the doctors, because it is so hard to get an appointment and means putting other stuff off, and I don’t like bothering my doctor. Its the mindset of “It’s only a swollen eye I am sure it will go”, but who knows.
I am guilty of putting things off, example I bought Henry, my son a new pair of shorts from Sainsbury’s but they are too small and so have to take them back, but I haven’t. However I have decided to keep them and donate them, and will get my son another pair. I have learned that if I don’t take them back they will still be good for someone else to wear and done my bit for charity. So I don’t feel that bad about them not being returned.
“You’ll find ways to get it done and still see results”
I am a one bit at a time person and hate rushing. I have to stop myself from jumping in with both feet, because I get overwhelmed. It means slowing down, but a moderate pace.
Do you do reset each week or perhaps everyday? Where to you begin?
For me it has to be in eye view, and of course I am not going to vacuum as soon as I wake up, which is usually around about 5am, as I know it wouldn’t be appreciated. So it will have to be a sociable hour around 8am, or is that too early? Anyway I will get up and start once I know I am not going to disturb anyone else and get it done.
Today I had an appointment to got to early and so because I was early thought I’d get a coffee and had a muffin…but issue:
My Latte was cold, and no not an Iced Coffee, and so I had to take it back and they put in hot water, and having a new habit, not buying a coffee out as much has made a huge saving. I have a coffee machine where I live so I have been using it, I’ve kept a jar of coffee over in my sons home, where he lives with his dad, and so when I go over there I will have a coffee there, and it has blown my mind, that it just takes one new habit that can turn a corner in your life. Making one change, one habit, has been elevating.
I have written an EBook called: Things to Change one day at a time and just by altering your routine and positive habits bit by bit can really change how you live, how you feel and how others see you. I want to be reliable and practice what I preach, and now I don’t sleep with my phone, and I have cold showers, and so I have been getting up early and not changing my alarm time set, and I get up dressed with my cup of tea and then coffee at home, and that begins my day on a high, rather than scraping myself off the bed.
Life has a purpose. Live by your means and with every bit of life that needs changing, do it. If it going to make you happy, smile and wake up with full energy, then it is totally worth it.
I never thought I’d be reaching this point in my life, if you’d had seen me last year, spending time in a mental health hospital, yet here I am with over a hundred followers, so thank you for the time you have spent on reading my blogs, it is truly touching and drives me to create more that reach out to you and that you find them helpful to you.
As I write this blog I am listening to the song “Wind of change” brilliant song, and I want to be able to whistle in tune and learn how to play electric guitar. So that is a new habit I have created there, lets see if it happens. I will let you know.
Habits can last a life time, but they have to benefit you. I want to whistle so I can write more songs. as I do like to write music and still have that ambition of wanting a song I have written on the radio, and is a dream that never goes away.
I have just recently been doing new habits, not having my phone near my bed until the next day to put it on charge, but not at night. This has been uplifting and now I know that this will be a new one I know I will follow through with, along with making bed, which I had been trying to do, but never kept but now it is a must, to not attempt me to get back into it.
I have also been doing my indoor workouts, and it is good to get in touch with your body and just stretching, lifting weights and walking, really makes a massive change in the way I think and see myself, the human body is amazing of what it can do, so get in touch with it. Take up a skill that you’ve been wanting and get into the habit, and not rush into it. TAKE YOUR TIME!
Keep them relevant to what you want to achieve by following new habits and feel. That is important, like not driving everyday to work, but walk on some days, to save money on petrol, to then use that money to save for something else.
The other habit I have been doing, is taking off my make up with a wet hot flannel and feels so good, and really has made a difference to my skin, not getting dry and I just use hot water from the tap, and in the mornings, I will use my face wash. So it is little habits like that one, that can make a difference to how you live your life.
So get a pen and a pad and write about the habits you do and what others that will help you, and pick ones that you can begin right away. If they make you excited and happy, then they are working.
Each year we change the way we feel depending on the weather and this influences how we eat, sleep and wake up.
I am at the moment listening to Mel Robbins and she is talking about visualisation, and this can help us through the year, by picturing what we want to achieve through the seasons and I like to ask you, do you want to feel stressed? Sad? Fatigued?
Not me! I want to still do my walking and building my steps.
I still want to take my son to different places
I want to make the most of each season, and this is how, by getting rid of the negative thoughts that can surround me example, when it starts to get dark earlier, not having many summer days in the summer, we can’t that, because you can’t change the weather, but we can control how we feel about it, by planning holiday’s to places where it is hot all year round, invest in clothes that can be worn in all seasons, check out my site: https://carriesversitilefashion.wordpress.com
I want to make my birthday be rememberable again, rather than doing nothing because of different things that happened in the past, around my birthday that brings me down, and treat it as a normal day and I didn’t even want to acknowledge it at all.
I went to enjoy myself on my birthday and actually celebrate it. I want a birthday cake and a meal of my choice. I want to post a blog and a picture on Instagram. I no longer want to waste time, and actually use it to lift me up and not down.
We feel down because it has become a habit that I have followed and so feels hard to break the pattern of our thoughts, but it is possible.
When we feel down about certain times of the year, it can be all we are focused on. You can change that by introducing a change of habit. So if you find it hard to get up when it is dark for example, is to create a cozy atmosphere, like drawing the curtains, with a blanket round you, drinking a hot chocolate and watching a film with your family, if you usually just have dinner then go to bed, waking up to feel like it is groundhog day.
I want to change my portfolio, and get rid of more negativity and not feeling the slump I can feel when it begins to get cold outdoors. I now love to wrap myself up and enjoy the crispy mornings and days.
It can only happen if you want to change how you feel when if you don’t like it when it gets too hot. I like summer but I find not heatwaves, because I find it uncomfortable, yet I would love for a overall suntan and when I went on holiday as a kid, a lot of people would ask, “Have you been sitting in the shade?” and I’d be like “No I been in the sun all day”, with sunscreen and it used to bother me when I didn’t tan, yet see others who tanned within two days, and I envied that.
So now I will sit in the sun, but get old earlier morning when it is less hot, perhaps I need a lower factor and give myself a time limit on how long I sit in the sun each time. Perhaps I should invest in more shorts and spend more time in the garden, and visit the English coast more.
I want to go abroad and take my son, but he is not good in hot climates and again rather getting out in the afternoon, when the heat increases, get up early and sit in as the sun come up. So perhaps have freezing cold water for him and lighter clothes.
If you have anxiety when going out in different weathers because of bad experiences, like I for ages as a kid stopped going into the sea as once as a kid at a holiday camp where they had a beach and I tripped in the water and could get myself back up, and I panicked, yet some guy rescued me, but for afterwards would stay clear and also I didn’t like seaweed and would put me off in going into the sea.
Yet now I love it and being near the sea keeps my calm, and that is because I changed the way I felt about beaches and water. That is what you need to do.
Are you worried about rushing into things, like taking a promotion at work?
You’d like to go for it but something is holding you back.
Evaluate and write down the fears and take time to go through your worries and concerns, and what would help you overcome these fears you are having.
You may be thinking would I have to do extra hours?
Would I be able to earn more money?
Would it require working on different days unlike what I do now?
Would I cope with the promotion and am I capable of leading a team?
Perhaps you want to write a book, but you feel you are incapable and that you feel you can’t compete with other writers.
Use these fears to push yourself into gear and be in the mindset that YOU CAN DO ANYTHING!
Life is full of chances to change your life, for example I have unknown to me got more followers on Pinterest and it meant adding more content to the pins that I have worked on and its building and building yourself that you need to focus on. Facing your fears of what is stopping you,
THE NEED TO BE DEALT WITH!
Just start by writing and answering the above questions.
Begin to picture yourself writing the book or taking the promotion you really want to go for, and write one thing that would push you forward.
If you want to write a book, start by jotting down notes and your ideas. Imagine yourself writing the book, picture the scene of the book, like you would when watching a movie.
Start building and putting together the reason why you want to go for the promotion or write a book how will it improve you life?
Perhaps you feel you can’t write a book because you don’t read books, then there is no time like the present to begin reading books. It really helps when putting your own book together, and finding the style that works for you.
If you get a promotion and your worried that the relationship with your colleagues are gonna change towards you, then,
sit them down and have a meeting about it, even if it is one to one
tell them your plans in what things you want to help your colleagues with,
how the relationship with them will grow so there are no barriers between you and them.
Who around you inspires you?
It could be a friend
a family member or
someone you see on the TV,
what they bring to the table that you like
how can you implement their way of being into your own.
You can be inspired by other people, without feeling jealousy and begrudging. I want to see people do well, and if you support them they will do the same. It may take time but if you know what it is you want in life and know how this person makes you feel, then follow their path, not copy, but what things they teach you that you can add to your life for you to be just a successful.
I feel inspired listening to Celine Dion, and love her music and she went through a transition where she learned to speak English, had teeth surgery and altered her image, because Rene who was her manager and then became her husband, knew that for her to be in music and not be mocked by the press she would need changes that will help her grow as an artist and now sells billion records all over the world.
I have now changed my habits and implemented new ones:
I always make sure I have breakfast
Go walking and playing football and walks with my son
I read books whilst travelling to and from my sons home
Have night off on Saturdays and being away from my phone
Spend time doing colouring
Sunday is my training day where I will watch training videos on Youtube like Sara Cannon and Natalia Leigh who do videos about their life as self published authors
Keep tabs on my finances and making sure any bills due are paid and save as much as possible
It all adds to push yourself confidence and perhaps you feel you need more education to go for the promotion, and speak your superior as I did this working for an entertainments company where I would book tickets for people wanting to go to visit theme parks and I was struggling to remember the details I need to check to book tickets and so I spoke to my coach who gave me further training.
If you don’t ask you don’t get.
And be your own teacher to build your knowledge and make a time or day to do some self training if you knowledge is not up to scratch and will help push you forward to going for that promotion and never feel you can’t compete, because YES YOU CAN!
When life is full it can feel like a massive weight on your shoulder and it becomes overbearing. We can get lost in tones of to do’s and not achieving anything, and bogged down.
So this blog is all about, How to spend time to look after yourself and get rid of the stress and anxiousness.
Spent more time looking after you, rather than other people. Self care is a must, and this can be whatever you want. I when wanting to be quiet do colouring in and you can get colouring books which helps with mindfulness and a great way to just be on your own and putting yourself first
Spend sometime putting together some family time, where you all sit down and chat. I often will spend time with my son, talking and watching the planes go over and will make a must that I check with my son how he is and if he has had a good day at school. He often doesn’t share that much, but when not prompted he will tell me. Chatting with your family can really be a good way to talk about any worries you and they may have, and send a message and arrange a time to sit and meet with family
If you are contacted by someone you don’t want to see, but you feel that you should, take time to have space and like above chat with them about it. If they don’t want to listen then you can decide if they are good in your life or aren’t
Keep a notebook where you can practice Affirmations. This has helped me a lot, because looking back I have been so hard on myself and felt like it is me against the world, but not the case, its all about what you can bring to the table and remember that you were born into this world so you are part of it. Again if there is something that triggers bad thoughts argue with it by practicing Affirmations
Give yourself some time explore. This morning as I write this blog, my son and I went for a walk and got rid of my fatigue and had a good amount of energy and so now we are going to do this each weekend. I also make space to work and explore in the week too. It doesn’t have to be fast but taking time to be with your own mind and really gets rid of cobwebs
Life is about building your life for happier times and doesn’t have to be done all in one go, but taking your time and listen to your mind and body, and you soon know what changes in your life needing to change, like taking your time to have a better mindset and time.
Hello Hello! Yes, so last year I did a Life coaching programme “Project 2021” giving loads of tips on how to have a better year and a better life, and this year I want to do the same, and so for the entire months, of May and June, I will be sharing videos, printables and blogs on life coaching and be sharing on my Pinterest and via Social media.
Here is my Intro video for this year’s coaching programme:
I will also be sharing items on my Pinterest, which will include other life coaching videos that inspire me like Mel Robbins, Tony Robbins, MuchelleB and many more.
So check out these links below:
Many thanks for reading and checking this blog out.
Hello, so thank you for your likes and follows and really means the world to me, and allows me to see what topics you like me sharing on this site.
Tomorrow it is St George’s yet it doesn’t always get celebrated or publicized, and gives me more reason to celebrate the day, and I am English and should be able to celebrate without feeling I shouldn’t.
It was when St George died and so for me I like celebrating these occasions and dates.
What special date you’d like to celebrate?
Does it inspire you?
What I get out of it is being present and being proud of where I come from.
I think we should feel that way. Not to hold it against anybody or to look down upon someone, but as apart of your heritage and have fun with it. I know there will be a lot of people celebrating the Platinum Jubilee, and have street parties. I love that we do that in England and being part of it is why I celebrate such occasions. It is good to pass these special days down like Easter too, to my son.
Check out my new Newsletter for April, which has a list of special days I like to celebrate, and of what is to come next in my content and bring more to the table and help and support you all.
Hello and welcome! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for following me on this site and liking my blogs it really is truly wonderful and helps me to create more content to reach out to you, and so thank you for all your kind feedback.
I have my next Newsletter for March, see here if you’d like to read it:
I think a lot of us can identify with Climbing Mountains, as life can feel like we are trying to reach the top of our lives but not accomplishing it. Many events in life can have an influence, like a lose of someone or you lose your job and feel unhappy that can come with that. Yet there are so many things you can do to get out of feeling that way, you can feel that there is nothing there for you now, because that security of a job has now gone and now you are on your tod trying to find the next chapter to your life.
Creating a book. Iove writing stories, and for a while I put it on hold, but so glad I started again, and there are some brilliant people out there that can help you. I like watching a lady called Sara Cannon, and has a site called Heartbreathings. Amazon has made it easy for you to upload a book, so give it a try, you never know. NEVER LIMIT YOURSELF
Start a fitness routine. I love walking it helps my mind so much and I make sure I do some each day, and workout indoors. Taking up a dance class. I did dancing and really good in meeting new people and feels like fun rather than running if this is not your thing. Check out these blog sites I write blogs for: https://sportsandfitnesspassion.wordpress.com and, https://getfitgetactivewithme.blogspot.com
Take that holiday. I was made redundant when working for a call centre and the campaign I was working on, moved to Poland so I couldn’t continue, and we all knew that it was coming, and so the Christmas before that happened I took me and my son’s dad before he was born, to Florida. I went first class and it was so worth it, and so take a break, the world doesn’t need to stop, and treat yourself.
Spend time changing your environment. Staying in four walls is never going to help, or being somewhere that you don’t like and want change. Find the place that makes you smile and give you a good new lease of endorphins.
Get rid of assets that you no longer need. Sometimes having a good sort out, and declutter can help the mind and start a fresh and a new beginning, and so if there are assets that no longer serves a purpose, give them to someone else who might have use for them, and sell.
Life can hit a block in the road, that is life sadly but getting up and changing what is stopping you from getting on the top of the mountain can make the climb a breath.
