This is something I journaled when away near the south coast of Britain in a caravan and is important to me because I do go back to the passed in my thoughts and of the future, but in order to plan for the future you have to live each day and be present, rather in a dream world all of the time.
So when I wrote this, it was to enjoy myself with my husband and son, and seeing friends and were friends who hadn’t met our son, and being present helped I feel, have a good weekend.
Write it out and I have just did a new page of my journal, to what I want to do right now and helping me to slow down and focus on one task at a time.
It helps me to prioritize, so I have laundry to sort out so going to, once written this blog, go and check to see if my clothes are dry and put another load on. I have an telephone appointment and so need to prepare for that and having breaks in between and not feel overloaded with stuff to do.
It helps manage the mind to prevent burn out, and not being stuck in one place all day, as this can effect concentration and our feelings along with our thoughts
Today after being away at the weekend did a tidy of my bedroom, took Henry on a bus ride and on the train and then came back and sorted out my clothes that I had been meaning to do and tomorrow going to continue.
>It does mean having a good amount of sleep and relaxing properly so you can start each day fresh faced.
>It means taking time to have some self care so I had a shower and washed my face, hair and body.
>It means taking time out from being on my phone and being present and having a good daily routine
>This weekend away I journaled which I hadn’t done for a while and drafting for videos I want to film and blogs I want to write
>Making time to visit and meet with friends, having a night out doing something different that you don’t always get to do, and went to social club this weekend away where they were playing Bingo
>We walked along the seaside and had fish ‘n’ Chips and went to a pub we hadn’t never been to before and had a climbing frame for kids
>I caught up on my steps I like to do each week and went swimming with my son and my husband. something we rarely do together, it was such a shame that on that it was windy and rainy
>I did some laundry and unpacked from being away this weekend
>I did some reading and had a cooked breakfast which is very rare these days
>Now I am catching up on posting my blogs, whilst I watch a live video
>Started to go through my finances that I like to do each week
>Tomorrow I will be getting my son ready as he is going to a holiday club and getting myself ready for the day and got to have a blood test and catch up on editing my book I am writing and dusting my bedroom.
I like having things to do because it helps to manage my mind and not wasting my days and getting as much out of them as possible.
I write about this a lot on this blog but that it is so important to spend time giving yourself some self care that helps you develop and feel better about your life and we all need that time.
1>. Watching a movie after having a hot bubble bath with a glass of wine or a cup of tea.
2>. Going for a coffee by a river or lake when the weather is good and a picnic with a bottle of Rose’ wine and meet up with a friend to join you
3>. Going for a long walk and write in your journal with a take away coffee or one you made at home and meeting up with a friend you have not seen for a while
4>. Do some exercise if you are not into walking but like to workout indoors. Check our Youtube as there are loads of different workouts on there and completely free or there is Davina McCall Own your goals and the body coach, Joe Wicks: https://www.thebodycoach.com/ and why not invite a friend to join you as sometimes working with a friend can make it more fun and more likely to stick to it.
5>. Read a book with a blanket over you, and put your mobile on silent and create a do not disturb sign.
It is about making the time for you and not what you always get to do, and we all need that down time.
So lets make the most of being free when we have the chance and now the schools break up for the School Summer Holidays, the more self care we can get, the better.
Being the week of a UK school holiday (so kids are off from school: February 2023) and my son is at a holiday club called Youngstars I planned the week before of what I will be doing whilst he is at the holiday club. Today I did a reset and went through my make up and toiletries cleaning the shelf I use to store these items, I then cleaned the skirting boards, went through my son’s books and vacuumed and went for a walk as I needed some bread and sat in a local park whilst listening to music and then came back, and worked on my EBook called How I like to live, and updating it and make it into a bigger book and worked on my new Novel When mothers are real and now watching Gillian Perkins on Youtube where this idea of this blog post was created.
Sorry if that tires you out, this blog is not supposed to cause fatigue or make you feel like you haven’t done anything, but it is possible for everyone and who has kids off from school too, and when we get some hours to ourselves.
This is no way showing off, as you should have seen my room, it was a mess and could have easily gone back to bed, but no, there was no time like the present. So I chose today whilst I had the chance and more in the next two days. Time is precious and if I don’t do it today, when will it get done? This is a question I ask myself a lot when I think of others things I could of be doing. This question stirs me on to get my stuff together. I don’t like living in a mess, and I know if I was in bed I know that guilt of not doing anything would sink in, and then comes my negative thoughts, so being productive helps with my thoughts and anxiety.
Now being 2023 there is a lot of resources like different cleaning products and organizing digitally and using APPS, but lots of these new items come with cost and how functional are they? I could put it all on Notion, which I did use but already had OneNote on my computer and works well with me rather than paying to use Notion. Just say that is having an issues with it, I just trying not that works, but may still use Notion in the future, but not right now. OneNote is free I use it, like Notion to make lists rather than a notebook, but my question is, what if they stop working which my laptop does crash at time? It is technology and means losing all my lists and notes, so I still convert to paper, because I still find this method more resourceful and I don’t need to clog up my phone with a loads of APPs or have the latest appliances, they can cause clutter and be counter productive because they take up so much space, so in 2023 is keep it simple and still have a written plan and to do lists and for working on projects. I know we need to save on paper because of the environment, but I find it better to jot down rather than type all of the time, and what if I lose my phone and that means not having the APPs to help me, so for me, being productive in 2023, always have a back up plan written and stored so you can see it and notes for books is important because it helps me keep on track of where I am and brainstorming. I do like using my laptop but I like writing things down especially for when I write a journal and creating stories. I find it relaxing and great for on the go and save the space on my phone. Its not what an item can do but how resourceful it is, does it make life easy?
The items I do like are the cordless items, like I bought a wireless keyboard and mouse, and I do have access to a cordless vacuum which I did use, but don’t need tones of appliances, and so it is using what I have already got and this saves me money and time.
So, lets get productive and take that time to sort our lives.
Hello and welcome! I have created a new Printables page where you can download of Life coaching, tracking your happiness and managing your life and building it to have a life you love.
They are completely free and so no cost at all and because of your wonderful support you given to me. Your feedback has helped me to build this blog and what us all to work together in us all living our life full of happiness and wellness.
Thank you once again for all of your support and checking out my blogs. So it is now coming up to another year but it doesn’t mean we can’t make changes in our life now.It is about progress, and it isn’t about getting everything so perfect that I often have to remind myself of that, but have a life that makes you smile rather then feel down.
Yes I have had a mental health illness but doesn’t mean my life has to be at a stand still, it means it gives me more fight in me too build my life and continue following my dreams. There is still so much I want to do. I have been meaning to take my son to another football match as he loves sport and has been on my list for ages and this weekend we did just that and wanted to take Henry to another Pantomimes and this year he is going to see two.
Life should be full of dreams and making the most out of each season, and have a life full of joy, and things to look back on and everlasting and be able to pass them on as each generation comes into the world and everyone deserves a life they love.
Begin by keeping a journal of your thoughts and getting your dreams out on a paper and go through the things you want. some may not have been a sort of person who ever wanted something, like a lady called Baroness Karen Brady, but looking and viewing herself, she must have done but subconsciously she must have done to be as successful and I can’t imagine how she got so far by not, and she ran football clubs and so she must wanted good things at the clubs she worked for to get where she is.
You do have to take on challenges, like I was in a hospital to help my mental health illness I had and helped me get back on my feet again and was challenging but was good to have that space and time to make sense of life again, and can’t wait to take on more. I really get a boost of setting myself challenges each year and now my challenge is to find outside work to expand myself even more and help with my writing and understanding more about people and want to help others with mental health problems and help build other children’s life and set a good example for my son, for him to be the best person he could be, and follow his dreams he has.
If he does find that he wants to play football or rugby then I going to look for him to join a team, or a club. Kids do change their mind I did a lot, of what I wanted to do in my life.I do believe in having eggs in different baskets and do many different things and so far accomplished them. I wanted to sort my room out in the week just gone and I did. I did a total reset and it feel so good to have a room with no clutter. I felt I needed to do it and it can make my life feel chaotic which I want to avoid.
The next thing is to sort my hair out so if I do work outside I want neat and tidy hair and be a manageable length.
So lets keep building our lives and enjoy our lives through each season whether it not in the new year. We can set our goals whenever we want.
I’d like to know what you want out of life now and what your ambitions and dreams you have. You can leave a comment below.
Hello! As I sit here listening to music and listening to One Moment in time, it makes me feel so grateful for music like this is how it makes my day everyday and I now have a notebook where I practice Affirmations, and it does feel good in doing that.
For me it is like writing a message to myself and that is exactly what it is.
I do have to kinder to myself it is important to have that relationship with myself; part of growing up is to accept myself. I have fallen out with myself a lot and been my own worst enemy.
It can be whatever message you want to tell yourself each day like one of mine is, I will make each day count, so it gives me a reason to pop out and walk to listen to my body more and be caring with myself.
I have created some more printable for you to download and print off in your Happy Journal or as a guide to use your own.
When you write a affirmation keep them growing and if it helps write Keywords that stand out. Circle them and place them in a place you will always see them.
Change and Tweek them if you want to make new ones and helps me to continue to grow and make more for myself aswell as supporting other people.
So, I have been filming some Day in a life videos and talk about my work that I do in terms of writing books, blogs and filming Youtube videos, and that includes my 10 Weekly Habits that help me Establish a good routine.
You have to have a routine that disciplines you in mind and physically.
So, the first habit I do is:
Plan the night before and on Fridays plan for the weekend
Go through my notebooks of content I haven’t posted, that can be made into a blog or a video for my Youtube channel
Spend my time after writing my books and blog posts throughout the day in the morning to spend sometime writing in my journals
I now go walking twice a day and fit in a 6 minute workout on some days
Spend time even though I find Cleaning tideous still have that time to tidy, as it does help to reset yourself
Do some research, by watching other Youtube channels, reading and time listening to an audiobook and watching some TV and replenish my thirst and eat my breakfasts, lunch and dinner away from the computer
Go through my emails and clean out my email accounts
Have no live blogs going up on Sundays
No Day in a life videos on Thursdays and often Mondays too
Checking and updating my social media pages
It seems a lot but it works, and yes I do mix it up too. As I love the film “Groundhog day” but to keep from becoming bored and continously inspired by what is around me.
So what habits do you do weekly? Please comment below.
Now if you had seen my blog I wrote about me creating printables for a happy journal I have created another set of printables for it. so see this below:
Hello and welcome! It is Monday late afternoon and I have Monday video for you to share, and this in video I talk about Events you can’t control and the things you can.
It is all about how you see things. When I have a traumatic event in my life that I couldn’t control I would automatically shut down to spend time coming to terms with and then give myself time to move on. For me it is gradual process, but what I have done that has always been the one thing that has helped me gain perspective, as that is the key, is to journal and then say, “Okay so where do i want to go now and how will I go about giving myself peace in addressing this event, so it doesn’t hurt me any more?”.
Life is about building and rebuilding as certain events we can’t control like COVID, comes into our life to turn it upside down, so it has meant that many having to work at home whilst the kids are shouting and screaming, being off school and then having to be the teacher aswell as the parent. Some people can easily adjust to this when others are left with thinking “Where do i start?”
For me it was “Okay, I will in this time spend that amount of time with Henry, so in the morning and then this amount of time to do work”. You find a way and for me it meant working and using the evenings, weekends when he would be looked after by someone else to have a break, and it is “Take one step at a time”.
Never rush in, but say “How can I deal with this and make it pain free?” So use some of the time to all of you in the family including your kids create a family meal. I do believe that Cookery should be bought back into schools, having your kids organize the grocery shopping for a change. If we aren’t have a load of picnic’s in the park, why not have one in the garden.
As I see it “You find a way of making it easy” and follow the day.
So, more blogs to come and have a good rest of the week.
many thanks for watching my videos and reading this blog,
