I like to begin with Thank you all for reading and liking my blogs on this site and my others, and it really helps me to see that my blogs are reaching out to you, and getting the message, that we are all worth a life filled with possibility. Even when I am having a bad day I still can have a positive mindset , and today travelling on a bus there were school girls just being disruptive, and felt “No I am not going to allow them to effect my journey”, and yes I was imagining myself saying negative things to them, but know better not too as why should I be driven in by their negative behaviour and if we learn to help our emotions and feelings, can still be a help to learn to grow even more to have a happier life.

It is like building a forte and a wall around you, that you aren’t going to allow bad things happening around you to, allow the negative thoughts and listen to them, and addressing them.

Today I wrote a blog on my daily blog on google and want to link to this one, as it was that one that made me want to write thing blog. Check it out via this link: https://mydailythougthsandfeelings.blogspot.com/2022/10/mental-health-awareness-and-taking-to.html

Dealing with Mental health can be challenging, because with having psychosis, and it has taken a lot to say yes I have this, because of judgement by others. It can trigger negative thoughts, and lash out, but know this won’t fix the issue that is happening around me, like those girls on the bus, and wants you know how to control it and manage your mental health can help things like that effect your growth with mental health.

We all have the strength to build ourselves and have a life full of joy and happiness, never allow your Mental health stop you from doing the things that you love and helps you gain a sense of control and learning about your mind. Once you learn about your mind and what it says to you, the more you can get a hold of it and seek the right support, as I have needed that and go through what you instantly feel to someone who understands.

When I was in a Mental Health hospital last year, it made me learn more about it, and I think often we think we are going to loose your mind even more, and I know there hasn’t been good press for Mental Health hospitals, and I went down hill, because I was changed to a new medication and of a high dosage and couldn’t move and had to be aided when it came to having a shower and using the loo, and I had the shakes, but it was rectified. When my nurse, as you get your own, saw this she and instantly gave me a lower dosage and another medication to counteract with that other medication. I was in two hospital as the other needed the room for another patient, I was transferred but glad I did as the doctor there was brilliant and within 4 days I was back to myself and got back on my feet.

I came out of it and you have to be strong and for me it helps me get back to a good mind and shown me how strong I am and how others can be too, and so if you are struggling with your mental health never stay quiet and get help, as there is no miracle that can cure you unfortunately but get the right support you need, and honestly I will never allow it to build up ever again and neither should you.

Many thanks for reading,

Hello. So first of all I have created more videos for my Life coaching programme. So if you would like to see these then click on this link: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL0AyektQNGDFmE8QBKFktqKMwZ2bswZoc

In this blog post I am talking about Managing the mind as when we feel self concious it can stop us from achieving the things we want and often reach a full stop, not knowing where we want to go next.

So it is important we look after our minds and take time to deal with critters that creep in and stop you in your tracks. So the first tip is to,

  • talk to them in you mind.

So sounds a bit mad, but that’s just me. I say to mine “No I will go for a run, or I will fit in a workout indoors”. Having a secret mindful conversation with the inner critic can deal with head on and stop it from controlling what you to and stop you.

  • Drink something that makes you excel and breath.

I don’t function with my morning cup of tea and coffee, and it just gives me time to breath and focus on my cuppa and be with the world at the same time.

  • Find a therapy

So this could be Talking to someone, listening to music or reading a book even. Many people even use exercise like Yoga, as it helps you to get in touch with your body and helps you switch off and feel peaceful and calm

  • Clear Daily cobwebs away

So walking is what helps me with this and so does writing and listening to music as mentioned above, but also I have gotten into the habit of writing in my journal without fail everyday.

I also have been on twitter choosing a song a day that has been part of my life and why I love the song. I also write in another planner/journal of a wish or wishes

  • Find Stability in your life

So I have a new love in my life. Someone I have known for a long time and they give me stability and I have that part of my life sealed and desperate to see, as we haven’t been able to alot because of COVID. Stabilty can even be delegating jobs. Stop trying to do so much

  • Have Flexibility in your life

So what do I mean. I don’t always have things set in stone in fact I like to vary the things I do each day, and be ready for any last minute events. This helps stop repetition and becoming bogged down.

  • Embrace life and people

If you embrace life more, the more of a good life you will lead and this is because you aren’t allowing challenges to prevent you from having a good life with as mentioned above stability and welcoming new things that come into your life and meeting new people.

  • Leave out the old and live in the new

Words from a song by Dina Carrol “A Perfect Year” Written by Sir Andrew Lloyd-Webber and Sir Tim Rice.

So what do those words mean, well leave the old so the past and focus on a new, the new year. I have been someone who would dwell on the passed events in my life good and bad, and all the things that have taunted and haunted me, but looking back and focusing on good memories, my life wasn’t that bad I just needed to be with the right people, and to have a better life you do need to let many things go.

So be good to yourself. Leave the criter and be you. There are some great mind managing tips on this site: https://www.mind.org.uk/

Many thanks for reading,

Yes it is #mentalhealthday2019 and so I thought I would write a blog about Looking after your mind, as our minds are power machines and a lot goes on in them.

Looking after your mind is critical in helping you to be the powerful person you have always wanted to be, but sometimes our minds can work against us, if we aren’t careful, and so we have to learn to reprogram them to look at our lives differently, with our thoughts and fears.

So how do you do that?

I have discovered through having an eating disorder, having social anxiety, general anxiety and depression that you need focus on what you can do to make a difference.

I watched a video by Mel Robbins, called How To Find Your Passion #CoffeeTalk

She explains that passion isn’t in an object, a person or a job, for example, but it is within yourself, and it is energy.

What gets you excited to get up in the morning?

So stop searching for things that aren’t there, but things that are, and go through what brings a smile to your face.

I keep talking on this site about #keepingajournal, and the reason for that is because it is a great way to brain dump all your thoughts and fears, and then find out and get to grips with:

  • Why you are having those feelings?
  • What are the triggers?
  • What can I do today that would help me feel better

– Practice #selfcare example, take a bath, get your hair done, create a                             gratitude journal and write about all the things you do like about                                     yourself, put some make up on or just chill and relax, watching reality                           TV if that’s what you like or soaps.

– Create a mood board and use your planner to keep track of how you                            feel each day and make a list of everything that would help you feel                                better that day.

– Do something new or learn something. If there is something you have                        wanted to learn about then now is the time to do that, as there are so                            many free courses out there.

It is all about making those changes to help stabilize your mind and whenever you feel low or afraid, do talk to someone because there are people who will listen.

I have been getting help from Surrey and Borders Partnership, which is #mentalhealth support you can get from the NHS, as my anxiety got so bad I ended up in hospital. I was having heart palpitations and thought that someone was after me.

It was horrendous and would never want anyone to go through that, and is why I support #mentalhealthcharities. I got help and so can you.

They will go on your terms not on theirs. So do get support if you feel that you can’t take life anymore or life is getting too much, because it can. Life can be a juggling act and can affect the mind, and so it is important for ourselves and our love ones who often are affected by someone with mental illness too, to get support and help.

Never feel alone if you have mental health problems, because you are not.

My son’s school raised money for the #helloyellow which supports young people with mental health. They had all the children wear something yellow to support #worldmentalhealthday.

When it comes to mental health it can affect anyone no matter who they are, so it is good that now we are making everyone aware of it, and that people are now getting support.

I post on this blog on a weekly basis and to keep up to date with my blogs then you can do so my following me on WordPress.com. If you have struggled with mental illness and you came out of it, then please tell me your story, I would really like to hear from you. Please leave a comment below.
