Being happy, envy, everyone can build a castle, feeling good about ourselves, happiness and wellbeing, health and wellbeing, jealousy, life, Mental Health, Relationships

We all have pressures in our lives or we have the same battles and arguments that have ended into saying hurtful things, lashing out, leading to the same feelings of hatred and bitterness. If it’s going to cause you unhappiness and then have your say, keeping it Civil and then hear there’s and leave it as a difference of opinion and move on. Often it isn’t actually a personal attack it can be that they have noone else to talk to about it and anger is often meaning that they are scared, not actually that they are confident and strong.

Photo by Andrea Piacquadio on Pexels.com

I have been jealous of friends and family to the point I’d feel low about myself and that I am never going to be good enough, but that has not been the case and so I had to do a lot of work on that and watched a Mel Robbins video about being Envious and Jealousy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RS_Lu5IIFBI

She says that we feel this way because we feel that the person your jealous of has robbed you in having success in your life to have the same dreams come true and to turn it around and yes I would feel like “What is wrong with me?” and “I am never going to get that dream because they’ve taken it”.

It can make you feel resentful and looking at the way they talk, walk and gain success in their life, which leads us thinking we belong in the audience but not the stage. If it is making you not eat, sleep or go out, then it is time to look at yourself and why they are where they are, because they’re not bothered. Your bothered but you needn’t be because they not losing sleep over you, so use it to make you determined and find your spotlight by giving yourself time to focus on you and can often mean that there is a different stage for you and not feeling that you have lost out. Everyone in this world deserves to be happy so work on letting your negative feelings go to be happy and proud of your life no matter what some else has been doing to have a success career and that your never going to compete. I use others success to make me hungry of succeeding accomplishing my goals to have a life I dream of and that meant stepping back and working on my Mental Health and bring up my son and help him with his development and things he’d like to do.

I am all about working together and encouraging others to be happy with their lives. Be the person you want to be, as long as there is no bad intentions but that is good and not feel that we are never going to change and that we will miss out because of someone else’s success. So let it go.

Do you feel like you are stuck in a rut? I have, but I have found keeping myself busy helps. Here are the things I like to do, to avoid that feeling:

Photo by Anastasiia Chaikovska on Pexels.com

A cup of tea and breakfast: I look forward to breakfast now and plan what I am going to eat that will boost my energy each day.

Reading: I love a good book to read and its nice to do a bit of reading and helps build my knowledge and helps me with my writing.

Go for a walk: I read at the doctors last Monday, as I had my Mental Health review and on the wall was a leaflet saying, that just a 10 minute walk is still exercise and vary my walks and routes I like to walk that is peaceful and love a pond or a river.

Do some studying: I have been doing a lot of courses and this has helped me use my time wisely as there is so much I’d like to do and helped me with writing my blogs and focus on my own wellbeing and understanding the body and mind, and love studying and learning new skills and building my knowledge on life to help me and pass on my knowledge to others, build their wellbeing.

Set your goals: A lot of time we can feel overwhelmed when we hear about setting goals and take a lot of time, but that is not the case. Focus on what you want and can be a small goal or a large goal. I did my 2025 goals and didn’t take long at all and looked the areas and things I enjoy and will help me feel good and enjoy life as much as possible as it goes to fast.

Change jobs and lifestyle: I have worked for many large companies, like I was a steward at Fulham Football club, the manufacturer Philip and International Tennis Federation and Diners Club and it has helped me shape my life and found the working world suited me, because I like earning my own money, but often found I would get bored and as soon as I found myself dreading the day, knew that it is not for me anymore and moved on. I currently do volunteer work and I really enjoy it. I work for Epsom Hospital Radio and have my own show on Sunday’s 4pm to 6pm, and been focusing on the things I enjoy and why I have been doing courses and getting back into fundraising. I am doing a Winter Walk in London in January and so glad to be able to do these events again as I have had battles with my Mental Health and so focusing on what I really want to do, like writing and working on radio, doing more volunteer work.

Family Time: I like family time and taking my son out and playing sports and walking. I feel privileged to be his mum and love that he loves my attention and this week after dinner and bath time, in the evenings been watching Deal or No Deal and playing table tennis. This week was his birthday and I was nervous about it but seeing him enjoy himself and love his presents make me appreciate time I have with him and with seeing other members of the family, because it flies by and like feeling like I have had a good day being productive and love the little things, as well as the big things.

If you have been following me then you will know that this time of year I like to do a reset to get tasks that I want to complete done before the following year to then get other tasks and achieve my goals and sort out my life.

A picture of me working on my book and spending time plotting and creating ideas to complete my book 2 of a series I am writing called Mum&Me.

Yesterday I completed the sorting of my closet, which was one of the tasks I want to complete so my husband will store the rest of the bits I am keeping and now all that needs to happen is for the items I want to keep is stored in the shed where I’ll be doing my crafting again and once the completion of the shed done.

I have been working on my book. It is taking some time and struggling a bit to get the first draft completed and so need to spend time plotting and go through my notes to help.

The books I write are fictional and non-fictional and writing my second book of a series I am creating and follow on story from Book 1: https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51lK525tveL._SL1499_.jpg

It is a comedy about a mother and daughter who live together and Elizabeth lives in chaos and not domesticated like her mother. The one thing she is good at is baking but when it comes to other things, in terms of house work she can’t be bothered and rather sit and watch some TV, bake and and her mother is obsessed with TV and online shopping, filling Elizabeth home with lots of boxes.

Elizabeth neighbour Gloria who has the two point 4 children, with three kids, dogs and cats and head the school where Elizabeth son goes to, with Glorias kids, the head of the school PTFA, which Elizabeth is a member and Gloria arranges a virtue bake off, due to lockdown, but hates it when someone else wins and it not be her. She sees that other members of the PTFA, including Elizabeth want her to step down as head and someone else take over and Elizabeth puts herself forward at which Gloria tries to stop and tries to persuade Elizabeth to take her side and tries to gate crash Elizabeth’s birthday at which Elizabeth gets friendly with a drag queen. The second book carries on the story and hope it makes you laugh out load,

The other task I am trying to get done is to find a good suitable Secondary School for my son, for next year and I a nervous about it as he goes to a special school and become bit of a challenge.

I am given myself these tasks because I want to then start a fresh come January and have a good feel good bedroom, feel confident in making sure Henry is prepared for the next stage in his education and focus on other books I want to write.

I hope these blogs are helping you too and please give me some feedback as the growth of this blog continues and help have joy in your life and I have filmed for my autumn reset, please check out vlog channel: https://www.youtube.com/@typicallondongal

Autumn Reset, Being productive, completing projects, getting things done, planning and organising, reflecting on the reset so far

So getting my projects done I begun to use a planner I got from The Works and planned on sorting out my bedroom in Epsom and where I am going to start, to get it all cleared and be ready to move items to the shed we have once we can sort out the shelving, cupboards, floor and walls.

So I have began to sort out the corner unit in my room and cleared the tidied the top of it and on Monday will be clearing the inside to tidy up my clothes and then start clearing out the closet by observing that I can clear some of the storage bins in there, in order to sort out my craft items and so got toys to get rid of that are out in the corridor and they are toys with bits missing and so no good to anyone.

I have worked on my book and glad to have gone to Morden hall this week, see my latest vlog which features this https://youtu.be/51UAqGNvaic plotting my book, create my script for my Financial living Youtube channel and filmed that today https://youtu.be/giFVlp3oVWY and saw another Secondary school this week that could be a possibility for my son to got to once he has finished in year 6, which is next year.

I only got 3 more questions to answer to complete my last unit on my counselling course and thinking of ideas for my room and created a vision board for it and would recommend in doing this and one thing I love to to, is on amazon create a wish list of items that I have seen and have created a board on my Pinterest where you can find my blogs from last week if you have not read them yet, with other content on there too:

Please check out my printable which is free to download. You can find it here Autumn Reset

Have a great weekend and please share of your 2nd week of doing this reset that I do each year and thank you for your visiting and if you want more blogs like this then please like and subscribe, as then you don’t miss one.

First week of my Autumn reset, living for each day, not planning too far ahead, yearly reset programme

I am someone who likes to plan, but have to rein myself in, to remind myself to focus on each day and what I can do today. My son been ill has reminded me to do that.

Photo by Polina Tankilevitch on Pexels.com

So focus on one thing you can do today that will help you tomorrow, like having time to make a nice cooked breakfast to begin your day, before doing your reset tasks.

Today my focus was to take care of my son, by making sure he has his antibiotics, he was going to go back to School tomorrow, but due to the antibiotics he has been taking, has an upset tummy and so will start to sort out the guest room and the shed I want to clean up, as it has been refurbished with a new roof and doors, is once my son returns to school which I hope is next week, to be cleaned up, so I can take my craft products, out of the guest room, to be moved into the shed.

When my son has been at home this week I have worked on my book and this morning I was awake early and got up to work on it with other tasks and been struggling to get up early the last few days and once my son is okay can do more and so if you want to join me in this yearly reset programme and you don’t miss a post please subscribe.

So I will see what tomorrow brings and if I can continue to work on the different areas of my life, to organize and work towards their completion, then I will and see how my son is, so he is well again and then I can do more to complete the projects I want to get done, for this years Autumn reset.

Please share your first week if you have joined me and lets cheer each other along as we add our wellbeing and for me it is all about, having the life I dream of, which is to teach and help others as much as I can, by developing my projects to make sure they are helpful and that you love being part of my community I am building to help others live their dreams.

Live you life and believe that what you dream of is possible.

autumn reset post, breaking tasks down, creating a plan for the autumn reset, First week

Hello this is the first day of my Autumn Reset and will helping you to reset and help to finish areas of your life that need completing.

Please see my last blog that had my Autumn Reset free printable Autumn Reset starts tomorrow

I have begun to feel in first page of what I want to complete and then will be deciding what are the main things for me to do, and what can be completed on another time and will go through my Notion of my goals and plans for 2024 and 2025 and what is top priority.

So what is a reset?

It is where you pull yourself back and restart and the Academic year is when I like to get things complete before the following year and make way for other projects I want to do and get back into planning and sorting things out for the rest of the year. This is what it for me means and get back into the school routine and set new goals and help build my habits to organise my life and means decluttering and changing your food, home and routine for the autumn season, ready for the winter.

So I have begun making a list and this week was challenging as my son was home from school with a Chest Infection and so if you can’t join in straight away then please don’t worry you can start when it is a good time for you, I just wanted to help you as I do a reset each year and found it helpful and hope you do too.

You don’t have to fill in all of the printable but as you start and begin to get those tasks completed and use the pages where I have put week 1 to decide where you’d like to begin and reflect on each week and log what you have done so far and spend time go through what would be the easiest to ones where you feel may need more time on. This is where it is good to use the page of printable of breaking your tasks up once you have decided on the areas/tasks are mostly important to you to complete.

Please subscribe as I will posting on a two to three day basis for this programme and then you won’t miss a post and will be filming too on my vlog channel: https://www.youtube.com/@typicallondongal

Life Coaching: Happy Habits that I like to do each day, week and changing seasons

It is good to just take my time to drink a cup of tea or coffee and gather myself to set the tone of the day and not rush. It is good to set up your day so you look forward to it, like a nice cool shower with a lovely shower cream you like, that makes you feel fresh and alive.

My choice is Radox, Nivea, Sanctuary Spa and just enjoy the water on my body, with a hair wash with Dove, head and shoulders and others I like to use different ones and do this each Sunday morning feeling properly awake, ready to take on the day and week ahead.

I do like a bath too but I save that for evening and good to have a lovely soak after a very hot day and just wind down after the eventful day to ensure I get a good nights sleep. I am been using Sanctuary Spa bath soak.

Then it is going through my plans for the day. I love planning and setting goals. I am going to set up some goals for the next season that is coming up (Autumn) and prepare for the next year of school, so my son is prepared to go back and completing my Life Coaching programme “Summer Project 2024” and if there something you liked that I have covered in this years (2024) life coaching programme, please give me your feedback of what you’d like me to talk about on this blog. You can leave a comment below.

The other thing is journaling. I love to journal and going to get back into scrapbooking, to store memories and get some pictures printed to help store them and creating more art and started to create my own prints as I am going to be doing up my room in Epsom and also going to use the shed, which we having work done. We are getting the roof of the shed redone and plan for my programme, Autumn Reset which I do each year and helps to get areas of my life completed, to start new projects and also complete another course. I have completed many as there are many things I want to do and create and continue to grow online and on the outside too, by making a difference for people.

It is important to have things set up so you can ensure that every gets done and you enjoy life.

We can get so bogged down with to do list and feel “Why?” can’t I do that another day? And so think about it, what do you want to do? What would make it easier? Perhaps you are thinking too much about it and thinking about the process, and that is putting you off.

One of habits to get bits done is to jot if down and what is the first step I need to do. Example: Cleaning my room. So I think about what one thing can I do write now that will help make it less painful? So I started clearing receipts and put them in a small folder. I then it charged it up and then went through what can I do next, and then found myself taking it all cleared and it took literally five minutes to do.

So take your time and clearing one thing is still getting it done.

I will spend my time each day checking my bank accounts and what has come out and gone in. Every Sunday I will go through what I spent in the week, and helps me to monitor what I buy and how it is spent as I do prefer spending cash and not debit.

Have no spend days, please check out my youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/@financialliving

just staying stop of things, gives me that piece of mind.

So go through your habits and what habits you want to implement in your life, and what is working in your life and what is not. Set your goals and what the outcome do you want.

everyone can build a castle, life coaching blog, Personal Development, self help blog, The Surprise of life

I thought that I would never be married at one point as I went through the phase of not believing in it and thought it was just a piece of paper and I never had a lot of boyfriends in my teens and twenties didn’t really want to be with anyone, but felt I should, to keep up with others who had boyfriends but realised no, I living by their means and not my own. I just enjoyed my Youth and in 2002 I made a decision that I needed to follow my dream in working at a holiday camp. I wanted to be a red coat, but it didn’t happen, because I met my husband and in 2006 got married and then in 2013 I fell pregnant.

Me and my son

Life is full of surprises, because when I first applied to work at a holiday camp was turned down and didn’t get further in the process of actually being employed and so it took two years, and so was a surprise that my second year of trying, I was successful and I was home sick, for the first two weeks but then stayed down there, for about 5 years. I never became a red coat, and part of me is sad about that, but it still was a life changing experience.

Be prepared for surprises by setting goals and when you want to achieve them. Back in 2013 my son was born premature and it was a shock. A week or so before reading a mother and baby magazine, I saw an article about premature births and ignored it, thinking “I didn’t need to read that” and wished I had.

When working at a call center there was a colleague who was a web designer and feel bad because I was unkind because I was jealous of her that she went on to be a Senior Agent and I didn’t, but it made me make changes to my life when I read a book, called The WAGS Diary and started writing a blog. I am not a WAG by the way and would be fully surprised if that ever happened. I like to watch football but on the TV or if I fancy going to see a football match, but not looking to date a footballer. No offence to those who do.

Back in 1990 after not really bothered about football I began to play in the school playground, as the other girls in my class were and so “If you can’t beat them join them” and cried for two hours after England got beat by West Germany in a penalty shoot out. Overnight became a full on football fan and fell in love with it and I changed my image, from being a girlie girl to a tom boy.

I had changed from wanting to be a singer to wanting to become, not a player but a coach and created this character in my head called Sherie, from a girl I used to go to school with, and be the first woman in a men’s team and later in 2012 I did my FA Coaching badge and ended up managing a football team, at youth level, and coached girls and boys team.

This is surprising myself that if I want something then I can get it but I have to do for myself and not rely on others, and standing on my own too feet. I fell in love with rugby league, with a friend who knew I liked sport, and followed the team for 8 years, and then stopped to work at a holiday camp.

Going through that really surprises me, as it felt such a long way off, for all those things happening, so follow your dreams as you will be surprised of what you can do in your life that will surprise you each and everyday, of your life.

Many thanks for reading,

Carrie X
