It is now 2025 and boy am I looking forward to the new year. It means making changes to your life and make better than the last. Well try, I know many are snowed in, so I hope you get inspiration from my weekly Cheat Sheets I will posting every Monday to build your life so it is better.
Yes Yes Yes! NO this is not copying when Harry met Sally, if you remember that film, I have set my goals for the summer, ready for the next season and to grow. Setting goals helps me to accomplish the things I want to do, and help me get through challenges, like for example I want to do fundraising events again but worry that I am not fit enough and have had injuries in building my walking and running again.
Running and walking on uneven pavements can contribute to that so it important I continue to walk as much as possible and get my body used to it again. There will always be hurdles, and so use this when it comes to achieving your goals, not to exhaust yourself but to stir you on to complete them.
I separate my goals into three categories, Home, Work and Play.
So in home is anything like my finances and Henry, my son like getting ready to prepare for his new school,, work is like my blogs and youtube for example and hopefully be outside work soon, and play is going out to dinner, trips and playing with son having lots of fun.
Here a printable I made to help you begin your Summer Goals:
The summer me is getting outdoors and exploring and do things that you can’t do in the Autumn and Winter, like swimming outdoors and have a meal in the garden. Well I suppose you could do these things in the Autumn and Winter, but would need blankets and coats, but for the summer you don’t and just having a lunch outside of a restaurant can be uplifting and, so they don’t have to be serious goals but ones that you can almost feel the enjoyment and motivation already, just by jotting them down.
You can keep; track of my blogs but following me and if you’d like to share you goals the please do. You can comment below..
We can all be somebody if we truly believe in ourselves, watching the world cup inspired me to write this post because we like me a lot of you may, doubt themselves, and for me I have always wanted to do something that I never thought I could do. I never thought I’d ever run and was just a thought and never thought I’d do the Great North Run, but there I was in 2008 doing just that. It made me see what I am capable of and everyone deserves a life they want and be the best at what they can be.
Making small changes in your life can lead you to success and that can be doing a workout in the mornings and I have started to meditate each day and I never thought I’d write a book, even though it has been a childhood dream, and then I saw a programme on TV and it was someone talking about self publishing on amazon, and thought I’d like to do that, so when I had my son it inspired me to create The Parenting Adventures, check these out on Amazon under my married name Carrie Challoner and working on a new book called Mum&Me and editing as we speak and never thought I’d blog as this type of writing never was a thing as a child as there were no internet like there is today.
I know a lot of people are going to be struggling this year with the prices of things going up, but you can still have a life you love and that is to set a plan and if you wanted to write and publish a book then go for it, or run a half marathon, as it really helps with your wellbeing. They are just examples, because when I was working it inspired others to do the same and I loved that and people wanted to join me.
I never thought I would have people liking my blogs and it was reading a book that inspired me to start blog writing and everyday I getting likes and followers and it really feels my up with a lot of joy and build my life up even more.
Set yourself some quick and easy goals, like going for a walk each day and if you are looking for work then sit down and do plan to find that job you have always wanted and write a plan of how you want to get there. Tomorrow I am going to a Job Fair and if you contact the Jobcentre they can refer you and make an appointment for you to go. If you find out it is not what you want to do then that is fine, your only going to find out and see.
Think about year from now what do you want your life to look like?
Visualise and write it down. Set yourself challenges and these has really helped me and I have managed to get a lot done by breaking it down and focus on small tasks each day. I listen a lot to Mel Robbins and she writes just five things a day and I have found this very resourceful. So make challenges for yourself and small and then make them bigger each year.
I have set out my goals that I have mentioned in previous posts written recently, that I have separated my goals in three categories:
Home
Work
Play
I would like to do a video on this, but going to do this in the new year, as I have so many things I would love to develop too.
So set your goals and don’t hold back, be ruthless and aim high.
Many thanks for reading,
Carrie X
P.S: Check out my JustGiving page that I have set up to donate money to Tommy’s who support families who have experience Stillbirths and Premature births:
So this time of year I start to think about what goals I would like to achieve for the next coming year. Doing this on a regular basis really helps you to take check of where you are at, and how far you have come and what you still have or would like to do next.
Life is a journey, and some may not like that word, but it is true. Even though this year was a sticky beginning, I still set myself goals and changed them through the part of this year.
There will be people who will knock you down, but if they do, let it be a trigger to keep you going. Noone has the right to tell you how you should live your life, unless you are hurting people, and to trash all over it.
I am going to make less goals this year, because I have realised that it is not about doing everything under the sun, but what truly matters to you, and what you really want to get out of the next chapter of your life.
So never stop dreaming or believing and set the goals.
Instead of the normal ones I make this year, I am going to make it simpler by having three categories, Home, Work and Play.
Home is anything you would like to change about your current living situation, Work is what you would like to achieve in your career or your work status, if you like me work for yourself and Play, is for example, getting fitter, try a new activity, do a course or spend more time with friends, and they can be as bizarre as you would like them to be.
Goals are there to build you up and what will make you truly happy, that will give you a reason to get out of bed for.
Here is a printable sheet to help you set your goals for 2021.
Hello and welcome to another blogpost. In today’s post I am talking about Having Low Self Esteem, which many of us have and can lead us to, as mentioned in my previous post, into Self Sabotage and Scrutinization.
I have created another video talking about this very subject see below:
It can be tough having low self esteem but being around the right people, creating a foundation, setting goals, creating new habits and rituals, which can lead to empowerment can really help make all the difference.
