cost of living, donating, Giving to others, Volunteering, winter wellness blog

This idea came from watching a Youtube Video by Kate Kaden and each month I give to the local foodbanks in London and work for a Charity. I present a show for my local hospital and it gives me such a buzz. The Winter can be tough and so if you can cook a hot meal for someone that you know is on their own, can do a world of good. Or even buying them a coffee and give them your time to chat.

In the winter I find it hard to see those doing all they can to earn money from selling the Big Issue and people walking passed, knowing that they can really make a difference. We do have families who are struggling to put food on the table. Why in this day in age have people needing to go to a foodbank?

I’ve watched Call the Midwife and feel from the times that the programme is based on learnt nothing.

The high street is suffering, the prices on utilities are going up and I have been to a supermarket and had to cancel items having absolutely nothing and it is the worst feeling in the world.

This is not to make you feel guilty in anyway. It doesn’t have to be materialistic but just your time. One of my sons schools friends parent who’s child was in his class would use her to listen to children read and I love volunteering. So rewarding. At many of the staff at the local garden centres are volunteers.

When I do my shopping and I am asked if I’d like to give a donation and I say yes. It can be lending books to your neighbours if they are alone or if they’d like to go for a walk. Have a joint Christmas with neighbours. I remember when I was kid and we moved from one block of flats to another the lady opposite us looked after me and we often go to other’s homes when living on a housing estate.

There’d be Christmas parties on the Estate and I loved them or Christmas Bingo nights.

Such a massive community and wonder if that still happens now on Housing Estates. I see many in the library where my son gets tutored until he gets a place in a school, are people who visit it and are alone.

There are often events in libraries and run my volunteers. If you are struggling joining the library can be a good way to save money on books or visit charity shops. I buy most of my books from Charity shops and our library does free coffee and drinks, like juice and so can be a good way to meet people.

So if you can make a difference and have some time spare, it can be good for you and the reciprocate. M

caring for others, Cheat sheet, everyone can build a castle, Giving to others, making a difference

I thought of this cheat sheet this week by doing my monthly shop where I by bits for the local food bank in Wimbledon/Merton to give back and also because my step dad helps an elderly lady and it is so rewarding to help others and we should all be working together for no more war, hunger and seeing families struggle to put food on the table.

These are tips on how you can do different acts of kindness if you know people that on their own and just need to see someone who wants to give them some company each day or week, but brightens up their day and not left all alone.

Top Five Acts Of KindnessDownload

These are completely free to download and print and let me know your feedback on them and if there are other printables you’d find useful based on the content on this blog site and I do have many and do post a lot on my Pinterest and my social media platforms too:

Donating to others for Christmas and plans for 2024 to raise money for good causes

Since a kid I have loved donating to others and when we had a fete on the housing estate I lived in Hammersmith, I would donate clothes for the jumble sale they had, and loved giving to good causes.

Photo by RDNE Stock project on Pexels.com

I would watch and donate to Children in Need and Comic Relief and now I want t help out in food banks and donate food and would like to do a monthly haul to give away to a local food bank, to feed families in the UK and the other countries and make a real difference.

Or donate money to them to help feed families and homes, that can’t afford groceries in supermarkets as the prices increase. How is somebody able to live when everything is going up and increasing.? More should be done.

Next year I am going to do walks again for Charity and raise money for good causes. I loved doing this and helps me get fit and grow myself, so why not join me. If you have tips on fundrsaising then please comment below, I love sharing knowledge to help give support and build a community that gives us all a boost to live our lives the best we can and make a difference.

I am gong to begin by buying food that someone can have for at Christmas and be able to buy a contribute in having a Christmas meal or things like Mince Pies and tinned vegetables and something that have long shelf life, and still celebrate, rather than just having whatever meal they have, to feed their family and donate things like Crackers and Puddings, and just making sure they can still enjoy the seasion, and buy a gift to donate for chilidren that may not have one, because of their parents not able to buy them a gift, and often the Supermarkets will have a Christmas appeal to help feed families, So check them out.

So, lets give and change the world and its poverty.

Being Super Human

Being begrudging, Being happy, Being kind, Being super human, Giving to others, Hurting others, Living a positive life, Looking after others, Respecting others, Spreading the love, Stop jealousy

What do I define as Super Human?

Those that do good by other people no matter where or when.

Some may shout Simon Cowell or Skeleton?

But having watched them on Camera they are just teeth and no action.

I heard that the contestants on BGT and the X Factor that they put them through, win and then soon after its taken away fr them again.

If you want to create dreams come true then do so, but honestly. People hate those that are bullshit.

Being unkind to those who are genuinely nice and down to earth as far as I am concerned isn’t being human at all as human nature is about nurturing one another not destroying someone because they are jealous, begrudging and can’t have what the other person has got.

I am not saying I am perfect I know I’m not I just love doing good by people. I am not liked by everyone, and I except that but if they haven’t said a cross word to me then I would not say anything to them.

Programmes like Jeremy Kyle show and the apprentice did highlight people who had nothing good in them and showed however much you disliked or believed in those programme, that YOU DON’T HAVE TO BE AN ARSEHOLE TO BE HAPPY OR SUCCESSFUL.

I do believe in one of the ten commandments that never judge or hurt those how you wouldn’t liked to be judged or hurt themselves.

You don’t have to Hitler to be a manager or a business owner. Respect comes from you and them in your world and be grateful to those who are kind heartened because there the people whom make the world go round.

So let’s be kind, strong and all just get along because life is short and it’s about being happy not hurting.

PRACTICE GRATITUDE TO BE THANKFUL TO HELP BE MORE POSITIVE ABOUT CHRISTMAS!

Blogmas day number 2 Gratitude

If you haven’t read my first blog of Blogmas then please check it out here below:

https://everydaylivingandlifestyle.wordpress.com/2019/12/01/the-first-blog-for-blogmas-make-your-own-advent-calendar-and-bring-romance-back-this-christmas/

If you haven’t seen my previous posts and don’t know what I am talking about when I say blogmas as most people would have heard of vlogmas via Youtube, well instead of doing videos every day up to Christmas as there is no way at the moment I could commit to that, I am blogging on one or more (depending on how it goes) on my websites everyday up to Christmas Day.

I have shared links to my other sites further down of this blog.

I don’t want my blogs to be all doom and gloom but there are people like myself at one point where Christmas was a time to dread rather then something to look forward too.

When my parents got divorced for example and I am going to do a blog on my parenting blog site: https://theparentingadventurestipsandtricks.wordpress.com/

It was a tough time of year and I for the first time I did dread it because knew that the Christmases I once knew were no longer going to be the same again.

FATHER CHRISTMAS.png

To much was changing and like I heard one of my friends once say I felt like I had no control over what was happening and felt totally helpless, but then when my son came along it bought my spark back for Christmas again, because once you have kids you do start to see things from their eyes, and to them especially now because my son is starting become aware of Christmas it is a magical experience with all the sparkly decorations, visiting Santa in his grotto and going on Christmas trains. It’s just magical to them.

Also now I am a lot older and have had some life experience have come to see that there are some people and children not so lucky to have Christmas presents each year or experiences like my son has had, and there are still people on the streets out in the cold with no where to go or noone to see.

That has made me grow up a lot and to see that,

Christmas isn’t all about me

It’s about giving to others aswell and so each year I will donate money to a good cause at Christmas time and if I see someone selling the Big Issue I will buy it, if I have money on me or busking, or if I do see someone homeless give them a couple of quid.

Looking back even though at the time when my parents got divorced seemed tough, as I heard someone say “There is always someone worse off than you” and to build better relationships with others around you and to build a successful life is to be thankful for what you already have.

I still have a roof over my head, I have a husband who helps share responsibilities with me and have someone who loves me in the romantic and emotional way, I have a son who teaches me new things everyday, I have a massive family who I may not physically see all the time but still in contact with and so,

What do I have really to complain about?

I know what is like to be in the dark when you feel everything is falling around you, but you can by practicing gratitude to be more thankful to help be more positive about Christmas really does help.

Reading stories of people who had nothing and changed their lives around I find truly uplifting and see that no matter what is happening in your life you can make a change and that is something to be thankful for.

I will sit down now and go through what I am grateful for, it is a great source of medicine and a great habit which I talk a lot about on this site, see some of my posts below, to get into.

Creating more happiness into your life

Create empowerment into your life

My Daily Habits

Creating New habits

Life is about learning and we can learn so much from others around us and if you feel annoyed by people around you that bring you down because they are very negative build new relationships with other people who make you feel lifted each day and do teach you things you never knew and that can help make you feel better about Christmas and life in general too; and when you do find those people that is something to be grateful for.

So if you are having a hard time to adjust to Christmas because of heartache or you just feel so overwhelmed and want to hide away this Christmas look around you as you will be surprised at what there is still to be thankful for.

I will always mention it because it does really help,

KEEP A JOURNAL!

I hope you have a good week, and I will post again either on here or my other sites, see listed below:

https://www.carriesrealworld.com/

https://theparentingadventurestipsandtricks.wordpress.com/

https://theparentingadventuresthebirthofmyson.wordpress.com

https://sportsandfitnesspassion.wordpress.com/

If you practice gratitude or you have any other tips on how to help people who are find Christmas time hard, be more positive about Christmas then please leave your comments below, I would love to hear from you.

Life is about sharing what really can help others and building a community that makes people feel good about life if they don’t feel that already!
