So for a few nights I couldn’t sleep because of self sabotage I was feeling stuck in a rut and finding the challenges I have been facing tough. I am on medication for my anxiety and I find life a struggle on some days.

The thing about anxiety, depression and worry it can happen at any time.

This why goal setting is so important and is one Life long lessons. I found getting out of bed hard today so I got up had some breakfast, had a shower and then was about to get back into bed and counted 5,4,3,2, 1 and got up.

So one goal could be as a Personal one, creating new daily habits, introduce the Mel Robbins, which I talk a lot about and even wrote about it in a blog post and a book review: 5 Second Rule by Mel Robbins

One ritual and habit I do is to get up make the bed, less chance of me getting back into it and go straight in the shower or put day clothes on straight away.

So why do we self sabotage?

Because the mornings being dark and at night, can be the fact that the goals your setting as mentioned in my previous blog Goal Setting 2020 are too much of a high expectation and we haven’t broken them down.

Also can be because we haven’t asked the right questions, I am writing an EBook  at the moment about this very subject because we can experience these feelings every day and is holding us back.

If you want to make a change you have to begin as soon as, doesn’t to be in the new year.

So set those goals and habits and keep going.

Self sabotage can lead to scrutinization which I talk about my latest Youtube video:

How to know when you’ve found your purpose in life.

Found quote on: http://www.oprah.com/spirit/quotes-to-help-you-find-your-lifes-purpose–inspirational-quotes/all

Sometimes it can take time to figure this out, and you may take many paths to find out, however once you found that purpose you’ll be amazed at what you can achieve next.

Here is a video posted by Own, of Oprah Winfrey and Author Caroline Myss, discussing just that.

Youtube video of Oprah Winfrey talking to Author Caroline Myss, of How to know when you’ve found your purpose in life.

We often have to face our fears and get out of our comfort zone, to find our purpose in life and life is about travelling through different chapters to find out who we truly are.

Please check out my previous blog of Mel Robbins First show on TV, where she talks about the 5 second rule which can help you too.

I would like to know if you have found your purpose in life and how you came about it. You can leave a comment below.

So I did a book review on this concept this comes from on my website,

https://www.carriesrealworld.com/book-reviews

If you haven’t heard of Mel Robbins, then it is about time you did, because her philosophy and concept on the 5 Second Rule is brilliant.

Basically you can use it when you feel anxious which I often do, and for when you want to procrastinate, but you know you have to get on with something, and she talks in great details about that, that it is okay to procrastinate sometimes as there are different types, but to make your life more productive.

You can use it for when you keep hitting that snooze button, it is just is brilliant, and really does work.

I find I am without thinking now, getting more stuff done.

So if you not checked out the 5 Second Rule, it’s worth checking it out.

Life is about succeeding into what ever it is you want to achieve, with a little help along the way, and I believe this will help you.

If you like this blog, then press the like button below, and remember you can comment below if you to have tried the 5 second rule and what you thought, by commenting below.

Dealing with Stress

Dealing with stress, everyonecanbuildacastle.wordpress.com, Learning to breath, managing stress, Mel Robbins 5 second rule, Parenting dilemmas, Realbuzz, Top ten causes of stress and how to beat them, Walking to school

Do you ever get stressed? I know I do, every morning when I have to take my son to school, I have a battle in my head, and thinking the worst all the time.

I wish I could go a day without feeling stressed, as much as I try to cover it over, I feel it rising in my stomach and I was shaking this morning as I was making my way to take my son to school.

I came across this article on Realbuzz, talking about top 10 causes of stress, and they are all very true.

https://www.realbuzz.com/articles-interests/health/article/top-10-causes-of-stress-and-how-to-beat-them/

To help stop the stress, I try and take my time. I always leave plenty of time so there is no rushing anyway, but it does help, I couldn’t bare it if I had to rush.

When I thought I was late a couple of weeks ago, when I had a job interview I convinced myself that I was late, and got so worked up that I almost gave up, until some nice man who was working as security officer at another building saw that I was lost and came to my rescue.

It turned out that I wasn’t late after all and interview went well. It taught me a lesson, learn to trust myself and worst thing of being late didn’t happen it was all in my head.

I feel at times it can be easy to stress about things, and following Mel Robbins rule of counting to 5 seconds, really can help and so can breathing in and out again. Going for a walk just me for 10 to 20 minutes can be a relief to the mind and body too.

I take tablets for my anxiety and they do help, but it doesn’t mean that they are stress busters, they just help keep me sane and not going mad out of skull, because of my anxiety.

Talking to my mum about it today, she said to remember that it is only for 20 minutes or so just keep that in mind. Stress can be caused by a number of things and it can really feel like we are falling apart, but remembering it is only for a short while can help reduce the anxiety and do breath once the stressful thing you fear has come to an end.
