Happy new year everyone. I have no plans for New years, so not sure if I will be posting or not, so getting ahead, and it has been a good year for me. Still a few days left, so a few things I want to do before the end of the year, but pleased with how I have been building my life, and that was my word for this year, “Building” and my Youtube channels have grown, by blogs have more followers and got likes, and the same with my social media.

My son changed schools, and has settled in well and making improvements in his learning. Check out my parenting blogs:

I loved the trips I took up London by Uber Boat to North Greenwich and back, and would recommend it, such good fun, and did a trip to and from North Greenwich to Canary Wharf, and from there to Putney, and then had a lovely meal. I enjoyed doing my Autumn Reset, my Life Coaching programme, “Summer Project 2023”, and this will continue on in 2024, dates TBC. I need to decide on videos, for my Life Coaching videos for it, and where I will publish them. I loved the walks me and my son went on and visiting Shepperton. It was so nice and would like to next time walk along the Canal.

It was sad about Terry Venables, Kirstie Alley and Len Goodman, and many stars died, like Olivia Newton John, and Matthew Perry. So, so sad.

It reminds me that no one is invisible and you have to live your life where you can smile and enjoy.

We went, my family and I went to more shows, that I wanted to do, like saw Hamilton in the Apollo Theatre in London Victoria, for my birthday and was really good, went to Pub in the park, in Wimbledon Park, and saw Gabrielle, went to see Blippi, a children’s character who was at The Rose in Kingston, and Zog and got more shows to come. I love the London for its shows and going to see more in 2024 and took Henry to the Cinema for the first time, to see Dungeons and Dragons, and was good to see and would recommend it.

My last blog for my yearly Life Coaching Programme “Summer Project 2023” and finishes on a high. Today I took my son with his dad to a rugby match and was a good result, but also challenging because my son is moaning a lot at the moment and so it is getting tricky for him to be happy, yet my blogs is all about being happy.

To grow this channel it is important to me in not cover over the tracks, that I talked about in this blog, that form with life, and I think it is my son saying “that he enjoyed himself and doesn’t want it to end” which I was like as a kid, and used get so upset when it came to the end of a fun day, and didn’t want it to end.

I love the weekends in doing different things that is different from the week and it is important to have things to look forward to and taking time off from everyday living, and exploring different places and enjoying every day and having a life full of happiness.

Noone life is perfect, and that is not being a pessimist, but the truth. There are always unplanned events that happen in our lives as much as we try to stop it, and when like a death of someone happens which can cause trauma, life suddenly changes and not as you knew it.

So you have to allow yourself to recover and be able to grieve that can help to recreate your life, and not get over it, but that it becomes easier to deal with and develop other relationships in your life and make amendments to relationships, and to get your life back to feeling good again and that you are worth the life you want.

Start making those changes, by changing one habit in your life a day and write down what it is you want in your life and what you want your life to look like.

So thank you for those that have liked the blogs in this yearly programme I have created and for the follows, and next it will be my Autumn Reset so, I hope you did all have a good summer and now it is time to embrace the change of season and finish tasks for the new academic year.

Self care and development is what is is all about, and making sure you put yourself first on some days and have a life you are happy with. Of course there are events that are beyond our control, like a loss of someone and something, but having resilience and determination, you can rebuild your life to be better and listen to your feelings, and address them.

Taking time out from everyday life and having new experiences and meeting new people, to build new relationships and making existing relationships stronger than ever, and being with people who will listen to you aswell as listening to them.

See that you deserve a happy life and you are worth the things in your life, and the relationships. You should treat yourself and make deals with yourself as I find rewarding helps me to get things done, and not procrastinate and taking my time, and taking it easy.

Life isn’t about rushing around, but having peace and if you can’t be bothered then it could be that you are doing too much and need to reevaluate your life and making changes, so you feel excited and not crawling through tasks, but will give you good results. Also taking a break and getting rest, so you properly recharge and feel full of energy to have a good life that you love.

Soon I will be starting my Autumn reset and so once I do my final blog then my Autumn Reset will begin and so a lot more content to come.

Yes so this is all about how make deals with myself, and I just did this now by promising myself if I do a home workout (exercise) then I can have another coffee. I am going to have my next coffee and watch another video on Youtube, and really enjoyed my workout. I didn’t feel like walking this morning, but I did it by promising myself a Pain Eu chocolate with a cup of coffee that I had indoors and so now on my second and I am going to bloody enjoy it. Some may think this is counterproductive, but for me it is how I get stuff done and get focused.

I made a deal if I got what I needed, as I had shopping to pick up, that when I walked I could get the bus back and got one straight away which is unusual and tomorrow I am thinking a nice iced coffee whilst I walk and love it at the moment getting out in the morning, once my son has gone off to school, and feeling the cool air as it has been so hot in the day.

I have been on walks with my son too when he has come home from school, and to build my steps and completed another ring on my fitness app I have on my phone, and will have my dinner and by the time dinner time has come I have earned it. Tonight it is a home favourite Spaghetti Bolognese, and then often will play some more out in the garden with my son.

It helps me to be productive, and get my Life Coaching programme finished to then start my Autumn reset which will end by end of October 2023, and then it is getting ready for birthdays I have in my family and then getting ready for the festive season.

If you have read my blogs then you know I am that kind of person that likes to take her time, and if I can do something without rushing, I find I get may daily goals/to-do’s done and making the days as good as the next one.

So make promises to yourself and I can assure you, you will see positive results.

Its days when it is really hot outside where I want to not bother in getting my to do lists done. It is good to see the sun shining and have been out today, but today I have had to really make the effort, so my deal I made with myself was to get a video uploaded and then I can have another coffee, and I do this on days I go for a walk and build my steps. Sitting out in the garden is good, and like to do a bit of writing and reading a book, but there bits i need to do on my laptop but when it is piping hot then can cause it too overheat, and I not so good with heat.

The hardest thing for me is getting out of bed. If you have heard of Mel Robbins, she has talked about this too in her videos and podcast and was how she developed the 5 Second Rule.

I don’t believe in forcing myself, because that can lead to not wanting to do anything and if that is the case, I take a break. It is important to take some time out and sit in the sun, but if you have things that need to be done, then do it. I will say right, I will edit another chapter of my book and then I can watch another Youtube video and if I do a workout then I can have that Dr Pepper or a bit of chocolate if I get the craving.

I won’t always do this with food, because this can lead to over eating and it is important to not use it to eat too much sugary food and other bad foods, but not refusing either as it can make me want it even more, and I like to work towards my meals each day, and have that one biscuit with my tea, but also if I want a bubble bath or a glass of wine or watch some TV.

If I want to buy another item of clothing I will get rid of an item of clothing that I no longer wear and doing a declutter during the Summer Holidays made me realise I do not need any more clothes and doing a reset soon when I do my Autumn Reset. More details of this coming soon.

I did a video about using what I have and made a deal that if I use up what I have got then I can buy more, and if it doesn’t get used and give it a year, then it goes. This may not worked for everyone, but works in with me and how I control my spending, how I continue good habits and how I achieve my goals that I set each day, month and year and quarterly, and 5 years.

So if you find you can’t be bothered then make a deal with yourself because its the result that will help me in feeling good and not wasted time by doing nothing.

Today I spent time celebrating my nieces birthday. She turned 16 and I remember at that age I had enough of education and so once I did sixth form, it was time to find work. I was never ever going to university, because I just don’t have the concentration spam to do higher education.

So I started to do stewarding at Fulham Football club and did work experience working with the groundsman and I loved it. This was before you had the internet and so used the Yellow pages to help me find work and back then they had Career Offices and even though the Careers Man wasn’t exactly the politest I managed to find my first full time job in a Marketing company.

The work I have done I have found myself and it was working where I found my feet and way into the world. It was a lifestyle that worked for me, and seeing kids at that time going to school I was glad that school life was over, and began to socialise a lot and met up with friends, and got a buzz from the working life.

You have to get yourself out there and yes it can take time to find a life that you are happy with, but when you find it, it feels like a massive weight off your shoulders. I am not a millionaire, but I have my son, a roof over my head and family. I know there are people that don’t have that, and when I think that, it makes me more happy with my life, and thankful. I have good health and can walk and run, and hands that can write and a body that I can finally say, I am happy with.

Give yourself credit and take time in finding yourself. I would question why I am here? Why was I put into this world? And for me is to help others and to be a good mum to my son. Being a good daughter and niece, and Aunt and help others to live their lives that they can get up for and not feel down and alone.

Keep growing and building your knowledge. Even though I didn’t go to university, I have done short courses and learned a lot. I am doing some other courses online, on a course site, called, Ofcourse and I love to build my knowledge and skills. There are more I’d like to do, and I do have a Youtube Educational Channel, and check out TED Talk and Using Youtube. I also use Youtube to help me with my writing and building my knowledge to build books and getting writing tips, and have published a lot of EBooks, Books on parenting and happiness and well being. Check out amazon under the names, Carrie Challoner, Carrie Lee Holmes and Carrie Holmes.

Map it out. I have written about this in my books and is a good way to plan what you want to do and turn your life around, and do it as you keep growing. It helps to work towards building a life that you are happy with and gives me direction and use it to plan what projects I want to do next/

Learn a new skill. I suppose this relates to Keep growing and building your knowledge, but you can teach yourself too if you don’t want to do a course. If you want to be able to cook, buy a recipe book or look online and there are loads to choose from. Its about what works for you, and what will make a difference to how you feel about your life. Check out Women and Home Magazine. They have stories of people who have done this and started as a hobby into a livelihood, and I get so inspired by reading them.

There is space for you. Just because someone else has done it, doesn’t mean you can’t do it too. Never compare, use it to learn, to help you to be find you path into what somebody has done and put your stamp on it. I am going bit over with my Life Coaching blogs, before I begin my Autumn Reset, as there are a few more blogs I want to share. Just because we are coming into the 9th month of the year, doesn’t mean you can’t restart your life. Everyone’s situation is different, and so, so what if if it is not January? Its when you know it is time to reevaluate your life and make changes.

What are your current habits?

How do you feel when you start a new day?

I get anxious, I find it hard to wake up in the mornings, so I will take it slow. I remember when working in a Call Centre, that was fast paced, and a lady there used to call me, “Mrs Rush” and was noted when I worked in a holiday camp and worked in the Residential Catering Department, that I would work fast and I get lost in the moment to get things done, and I think living in the city that is all you know, is to be fast.

Now I take my time and attention to detail is the key, and not always about getting so much done at once. This is from experience, as working fast pace, it would cause me to be stressed and get burn out, to not wanting to be bothered to do anything.

It doesn’t have to all be done in one day. and allow yourself to breath. Make one change a day. I do make the beds, but with the summer holidays I have made them as soon as I have had that free moment, and there are no bed making Police so fit it in, but when it suits you, and being flexible can really help in the way you live your life, and making sure you have that first drink in the morning, that you enjoy, of course not alcohol or fizzy drinks. Just start with the mornings, and mix it up, its good to change a routine if you feel bored with life, and need to start over, because you feel that life is too much and can’t cope with it.

I found that reading and listening to Podcasts helps. There are some good books out there, like Mel Robbins the 5 second rule which I am sure you know about. and she does a brilliant podcast, along with Fearn Cotton, Happy place and a new one I have gotten into is Real Talk Kim.

I have written books too, check out Amazon, under the names, Carrie Challoner, Carrie Lee Holmes and Carrie Holmes. They are available on Kindle and many of them are available in paperback too.

It all about changing the way you think about yourself, areas that need to be changed and the people you associate with. I remember working in a Call Centre and there were many agents who were negative all day thinking the worst and complaining a lot. Yet there were times when we would have a laugh, but you’d find those that ruined that, were the ones who had nothing good to say about anything and everything.

Yes it was a tough job, but seeing that we’d would deal with complaints a lot, the worst thing was colleagues arguing and those thinking they were a lot more superior to everyone else. That they had more rights than you, and yet we were doing the same job and also because of, not getting help by senior staff.

Or you find that people talk to you about their problems but won’t listen to yours, and for me a good friendship is when you get each other and it is 50/50. I am not saying to have a fall out or start accusing, but have a chat and mend relationships that is stopping you to start again.

This means making sense of situations and changing the patterns in your life and having self care, and look after your own wellbeing first before you focus on anything else. Sometimes you have to be selfish in the contents of changing the way you dress, your morning routine that you have a good reason to get up and get going.

Stop beating yourself up and live. Take each day as it comes aswell as plan and setting goals for the future and remove devices on some days or during part of the day, as these can influence our thoughts too.

Noones life is perfect everyone experiences bumps in the road, and so get up and get going, and be in charge of your life and honour yourself, and be kind to yourself.

Self Sabotage won’t get you anywhere, but fall into more of a depression, and so make every day be as good as the last by respecting yourself and making step by step changes.

I know this is counterproductive when I am a planner, I like to plan each day, but sometimes a good plan is when a plan was done last minute with no agenda., I decided to book to go to the Zoo in Battersea park yesterday, and was a good day. My son is very moany at the moment and so he was saying he didn’t want to go to the Zoo, because he wanted to see the London Eye again.

Yet once we were in the Zoo he was happy, and wanted to keep seeing the animals and is a lovely place to visit, and tomorrow we are going to North Greenwich, again, like we did on Monday, and got the UberBoat, and was so enjoyable.

I like when I am out to explore and travel into London even more, and one of the best nights out have often been ones when we have gone out and then wanted to stay out, and had a rememberable time. I remember my friend had drinks in the week for her birthday and we were having such a good time that we went onto a club. I did do the wrong thing, and missed work the next day, but was such a good evening, that neither one of my friends and I wanted to evening to end.

When I would go and watch a rugby league team, which would be mainly at the weekends, we would spend the rest of the evening to go up London and stay out. Yes this cost money, but was money well spent, and felt like I properly let my hair down and I have so many fun memories. Of course my life has changed, I am a mum now, but I do still like to be spontaneous sometimes and have fun, rather than doing the same thing all the time, and are some of the best times. Life is about enjoyment and spending time with those you love, who see life the same way you do, and like to make last minute plans and getting the most out of life.

I couldn’t do this all the time, because I live on a tight budget like many, and the whole the point is to do something different that you unable to do all of the time.

So, plan yes but if your life is getting boring then it is the same thing everyday, then it means you need to do new experiences and make last minute plans, like visiting a friend you have not seen for a long time or going to a place you have never been before, or for a long time, it can make you feel better about life and not see the same place all of the time.

Life Coaching Programme “Summer Project 2023” Planning your life: Focusing on using one method to plan my life

I watched a video by Terry Savelle Foy. and did try to find the video, but couldn’t, but she spoke about having everything in one place, and so using a Filofax I have, I am trying this out. I do still like a bullet style journal where I write notes for my videos, actual journaling, and using a basic notebook for writing notes for blogs and books, but when it comes to planning, trying to do this using my Filofax and it has made a difference, but it is quite bulky and for me I have found it tricky.

I like using my note apps on my phone and OneNote, and I find it helps keep it digitally so don’t have to carry my Filofax with me when out, but I do like jotting things down on paper, helps keep on top of things, and if my phone stops working or my laptop I still got it all written down.

I could use my Filofax for my books and videos, but would get super bulky, so for planning yes it works, but with someone has so many plans, and ideas, it is good to use a notebook too, along with digital software, and my phone.

Good to give it a try, and perhaps if I used a liver arch folder, perhaps that would be the answer, but means my Filofax would go to waste, but the one thing I am trying to do, is use what I got and don’t want to be bogged down with having so many notebooks now, and has helped me from not having to use a notebook, all of the time as they can add to clutter. I was buying them because of their pretty cover, and not because I actually needed them.

I showed how it was organised before, but have made some changes.

For me a planner has to be functional so I can change pages and create my own, and I bought the academic diary insert from Amazon, along with the dividers and used note pages to adapt it to what I want to include, in it. Note pages are from Amazon too.

You have to try these different methods to find out what works for you, and is dependent on your lifestyle and how you like to live. I like to be in control when it comes to planning and the method that suits me and is functional, and moving away from Google Calendar as that no longer works for me and so will be making changes to this, because the notifications, fills up my inbox and no longer take notice.

So, it is now Sunday evening and my son wants me to turn the light off as he is in bed, but I will be extending the date of my “Summer Project 2023” which I will let you know in the next blog.

So I did a couple of blogs on Trauma, Life Coaching Programme “Summer Project 2023″Is it good to cry/Dealing with Trauma: Taking one day at a time, Life Coaching programme “Summer Project 2023” Is it good to cry/How to heal after trauma: Tips and Getting Support I want to help in whatever aspect I can because life can hit are hard and I never going to cover up the cracks that have happened in my life, and want to be 100% real.

My mental state was bad and it has taken me a lot to get my life back on track, but planning is always the one thing that gets me through it. I like planning my days and focusing on having a good day, whatever has tried not knock me off the path I have been going through, to be fully recovered. I did a video talking about a couple of days ago, when I went to pick up my prescription and bought a cold coffee, only to drop it as I was running for the bus back, check out my video here: https://youtu.be/L_bU-FKqtOQ and so not everything goes to plan, but I still got my prescription and I still made it back indoors to record the video above, talking about Using what you’ve got .

When unplanned events happen, it can take a while to get over and I believe in, allowing yourself to grieve and take time in coming to terms that sometimes you have to start again, to continue to grow as a human being, and that is exactly what I have had to do.

I started to get back on my feet by spending time away from my friends and family, and was helped with getting my life together, by having an income again and being reunited with, family and my son, and able to see him off to school and back. Getting in contact with friends via social media, and now looking to be connected to others again, as I do miss going out with friends and family again.

Never plan too big at first, and focus on one or two things, at a time. I began to Understand the condition I had and learned about the triggers, should I feel like I am having relapse, and learning about different mental health conditions. I did this by doing some free courses, and they have helped me, with these blogs, because I love to learn and educate myself. It is a great way to rebuild your life. I did some painting which I haven’t done in years and started walking again. Walking small distances, and exploring new places, getting back into writing books, and exercise is good for recovery as it does give you, good energy and it helps me to listen to my body that can help with my mind, by retuning positive feelings.

Healing relationships by forgiving and forgetting, and addressing the causes. Make a plan to see your friends again and spend time with family, and have them help you in recovery, You don’t have to go through recovery on your own.

Having a good sort out on things that you want to let go off and make plan to do this. Again get help. My mum helped me when I came out of hospital, and recently done a declutter, and doing this regularly can help the feelings of being overcrowded with stuff.

I am in a good place now and feel like my life is taking shape. There are still so much I wish to do, but taking it one step at a time.
