There isn’t a day in my life where I have not played music. It was my first love. I would dream about living a different life. I would imagine that I am in concert singing songs like the Greatest Love of All. I wished I had written songs I have loved and still love today.

Music is great for building relationships. This happens if you share similar tastes and have a song that makes you smile whenever you hear it. The song by Eurythmics, There must be an Angel playing in my heart, reminds me of our trips to Menorca. We used to go there for our Summer holiday and were such good fun. We traveled with other families. These trips gave me so much joy. I was allowed to stay up all night and would watch the sun go down and love watching the sunset.

In the Winter I normally listen to Enya, of course Christmas songs and mainly soft music.

If you find that Winter is gloomy, put on some music to lift your mood. Create a playlist of songs that make you feel good.

I have created a Printable and I talk about Habits. One of them is listening to a playlist of songs in the mornings. For me, I always play music around 3:50 pm until dinner time. This includes nice, slow, easy music, and joyful tunes too.

I work for my local hospital radio on Sundays from 4 to 6 Sunday afternoon. If you are in the UK, you can go to the Epsom Hospital website. Listen to it if you have internet. I back doing my show on Sunday the 30th November 2025: https://www.epsomhospitalradio.org.uk/on-air/presenters/carrie-challoner

I like to have a bath and listen to music some times and especially when cooking.

My husband does the same. I love to listen to music when it’s cold and wet outside. It helps me write and work on a book. I have created a playlist on Youtube to go with the book I am writing. I enjoy it with an Earl Grey tea and a nice sweet treat.

I hate the worry of people not being happy. It can affect my mood. I hope that this Winter Wellness Programme helps you. If you want to join, just subscribe. You will be alerted when I post a blog. I also do other programmes throughout the year.

Life can take many routes and before you know you see doom and gloom. There is no point getting up because soon enough it will be time to get back in bed, and the days are just fading away. This can lead us feeling that we are no good to the world, that we have nowhere to go and slip further down and that there is no use in living, as this is all you have to look forward to.

Planning your life: Create a plan for yourself, like if you have wanted to write a book, like I did then create a writing plan and do a bit a day or if your house is cluttered, create a plan to declutter one area a day and time yourself.

Feeling unaccomplished: Write down all the things you would like to accomplish, and start with home, then work and then play. By doing this you will see, that these are actually goals you’ve as often we think goals are running 5k in the morning, which is fine, but breaking it down makes it easier to accomplish and not piling to much pressure on yourself. As yourself, what you want your life to look like? Check out the printable I created for you: My Life Coaching Programme “Summer Project 2024” helping you have a better year and a better life is coming at the start of May 2024

Find your word: My word last year was Build because that is what I wanted last year, and build my content, build the relationship with my son and others, and build my knowledge and so did some courses to help with that, as I have had mental health issues and wanted to help others who may have had mental health problems and reach out. This year is it grow, which some may say is the same thing as build, for me building I think about bricks and grow I think about a seed. For me I needed to build my life up to make room for growth, and has helped me create projects like this one and I wrote a daily blog which I shared on my daily blog: https://mydailythougthsandfeelings.blogspot.com/2024/04/learningbuilding-your-knowledge-and.html

Making choices: Do you want to feel low about yourself all your life? When I read a book by Paul McKenna it asked this question and made me think, no I don’t. I need to get out of the bed, and get dressed, not wasting my life lying hear feeling sorry for myself. So address, using my work book, of what areas of your life you are not happy with and make the choice, to be happy or not to be happy.

Reduce your consumption of negativity: I try to avoid watching things on TV that are overly violent, or has a lot of blood in, as it can affect me. As a kid I avoided horror films because it would effect my sleep and so now I will listen to true stories, but it depends on what it is and selective on what I consume online. Now I do that, I feel better and the same with certain music.

I love my life now. It has taken a lot for me to feel this way and we all deserve to feel like this. I hope you find these tips help you and remember to check out my Pinterest and social media platforms as I have content on there too, for this years Summer Project Programme.

I have filmed a video sharing my printable, I created, https://youtu.be/-E2LmAU0xBg and will be creating videos to go up on my New Educational Youtube channel: CarrieEducationalYoutube-ws4xp

Autumn Reset Day 14: When you can’t get out of the bed

There was a time where I would take my son to school and as soon I got home would return into bed and then get up about 1pm to give the house a clean and then go and pick up my son from school, and as soon as I had dinner go back to bed.

I couldn’t find the energy to do much, and it was as if energy had been pushed out of me. Now though that girl has gone and glad. I love being lazy at times, but that only results in me feeling more tired and I like to get up have my cup of tea and then breakfast and make sure I am dressed apart from the weekend where I do take it a bit easier and spend that time with my son.

The mornings for me is the hardest at time but once I am up now I get myself ready for the day and take anything that is rubbish downstairs, take shower if I don’t have one the evening before and gather myself together. Having routine that is fulfilling is what helped me get out of the slump of wanting to stay in bed all day, and so I make sure I have a enough sleep at night so I have no reason to go back to bed.

So if you are having a hard time to get up and out of bed, ask yourself, “Do I want to be doing this all my life?” and I didn’t and knew that it was effecting my everyday and it would cause arguments, but then something clicked in me and I have now never felt so alive. It takes time, but if you feel fatigue all the time, it may mean going to the doctors and getting support as it is a mental health issue and put things into bed that makes you want to get up and make the most of your days.

This is why I write these blogs to give support if you feel low at and unenergized it is something that you can work on and can get out of.

Many thanks for reading,
