It is Christmas day and was able to sleep in for a bit and watched BBC 1 and watching Breakfast TV they were showing volunteers and places where the those that are sleeping rough, its called the “Free Hotel” and have people on Christmas day helping to look after those who may be struggling and there are people who will be lonely, not see anyone.

I love volunteer work and do a radio show at Epsom Hospital, which is a charity and I love it. So rewarding and there are people at Christmas who have no place to go and it is heartbreaking. I believe that noone should be sleeping in the streets and have a roof over their heads and a bed to sleep in and so if you can give to a homeless shelter, volunteer for the local hospital or there are those that knit things for the children in the hospitals, then you are making a huge difference to somebody’s life. Even if it is a couple of hours. Since working on my local hospital radio, I want to do more volunteer work.

This is not to make you feel guilty in anyway and that you have to do voluntary work. Since doing Youtube it has helped me to connect with people who to help others, like Mel Robbins, Kate Kaden, Fearn Cotton and inspires me to help others too by sharing the things that are important to me, that may also be important to you, via my vlogs: Typical London Gal, my blogs too, along with my books and creating different projects and programmes like this one, to make a difference. I am changing one of my books as I am writing a series called Mum&Me and got another book being proof read that I want to publish in 2025 called When Mothers Are Real and its given me such a sense of pride and joy.

It for me is like giving back into society and being grateful that I am not sleeping in the streets and have a gorgeous son and family. Yes there are times when it hasn’t felt like Christmas, treating it like a normal day, but seeing people struggle because of events and that life doesn’t stop just because it is Christmas. People can still get sick. My son is getting over a Chest Infection, I’ve felt a bit rough and my husband is unwell, but we can go home to a house and afford food and gifts for Christmas where others can’t and watching those who have created a place for people who are homeless that have nothing makes me appreciate my life and I now each month give the Trussell Trust, which is the organisation for Foodbanks and hate seeing people struggle.

So I hope you okay and can have a Christmas dinner, do gifts and enjoy this time of year.

Many thanks for reading,

If you have been following me then you will know that this time of year I like to do a reset to get tasks that I want to complete done before the following year to then get other tasks and achieve my goals and sort out my life.

A picture of me working on my book and spending time plotting and creating ideas to complete my book 2 of a series I am writing called Mum&Me.

Yesterday I completed the sorting of my closet, which was one of the tasks I want to complete so my husband will store the rest of the bits I am keeping and now all that needs to happen is for the items I want to keep is stored in the shed where I’ll be doing my crafting again and once the completion of the shed done.

I have been working on my book. It is taking some time and struggling a bit to get the first draft completed and so need to spend time plotting and go through my notes to help.

The books I write are fictional and non-fictional and writing my second book of a series I am creating and follow on story from Book 1: https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51lK525tveL._SL1499_.jpg

It is a comedy about a mother and daughter who live together and Elizabeth lives in chaos and not domesticated like her mother. The one thing she is good at is baking but when it comes to other things, in terms of house work she can’t be bothered and rather sit and watch some TV, bake and and her mother is obsessed with TV and online shopping, filling Elizabeth home with lots of boxes.

Elizabeth neighbour Gloria who has the two point 4 children, with three kids, dogs and cats and head the school where Elizabeth son goes to, with Glorias kids, the head of the school PTFA, which Elizabeth is a member and Gloria arranges a virtue bake off, due to lockdown, but hates it when someone else wins and it not be her. She sees that other members of the PTFA, including Elizabeth want her to step down as head and someone else take over and Elizabeth puts herself forward at which Gloria tries to stop and tries to persuade Elizabeth to take her side and tries to gate crash Elizabeth’s birthday at which Elizabeth gets friendly with a drag queen. The second book carries on the story and hope it makes you laugh out load,

The other task I am trying to get done is to find a good suitable Secondary School for my son, for next year and I a nervous about it as he goes to a special school and become bit of a challenge.

I am given myself these tasks because I want to then start a fresh come January and have a good feel good bedroom, feel confident in making sure Henry is prepared for the next stage in his education and focus on other books I want to write.

I hope these blogs are helping you too and please give me some feedback as the growth of this blog continues and help have joy in your life and I have filmed for my autumn reset, please check out vlog channel: https://www.youtube.com/@typicallondongal

It has been a while since I last did a book review, and have an All About Books’ video coming, (check out my previous video I did) and will be on my main Youtube channel as I finished two books this month and still challenging myself to read a book a month and got in the habit of reading before I go to bed again, rather than travelling.

https://www.audible.co.uk/pd/The-High-5-Habit-Audiobook/B09DTHRGFF?source_code=M2M30DFT1Bk13110022002JX&&ipRedirectOverride=true&overrideBaseCountry=true&gclid=CjwKCAiA5Y6eBhAbEiwA_2ZWIZ4fQ1lAjrnfCruM0KPSRPVQ2yDKTHe_CM6DbkByVcKr5fD9zJuoVBoCrMAQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds

This book review is talking about the High 5 Habit by Mel Robbins. I listened to it on audible because I find it easier when it is a self help book and when ever my son does something good we high 5 and I have begun to high five myself in the mornings and give myself credit rather feel bad about myself.

She spoke such sense and doing habits like not having my phone by my bed, because it can affect how we wakeup in the mornings and it has made a difference as I do sleep for a longer and make sure I have a good nights sleep. I no longer allow my son to take his tablet to bed and this has made a difference as he can fall a sleep quickly and for a lot longer, because he wakes up really early in the week, and not have his tablet too early in the morning and we both sleeping in, which I need at the weekends because of the travelling I do each week and need it to wake up better and get stuck planned down and use my weekends to take my son out and not feeling tired the whole day.

So check it out and I would give in 10 out of ten and the good thing about audible (I am not sponsored) you keep the books in your library and forever and go back to them, which those like the High 5 Habit because I like to listen to these types of books again.

If you know of more books that I like it, please recommend by filling in the comments below.

book review, books to read, business management, empowerment, everyone can build a castle, good reads, Grant Cardone, how to get your way in business and in life, inspiring people, sell or to be sold

Hi and welcome to a new blog post. In Today’s post I am talking about this book I listened to on Audible, which was brilliant.

I would totally recommend audible as I love listening to books rather than reading them sometimes, and can be used on the go, when out and about.

I have quite a few books in my library which were free because when you join you get a free credit each month.

This book is about Sell or be Sold, How to get your way in Business and in life by Grand Cardone, who also has a website and Youtube channel. Here are the links below:

https://grantcardone.com/

https://www.youtube.com/user/GrantCardone

It talks about how you can start or run a business with little capital, it is all about being ahead of your game and not competing but taking control of your own business that will become big and stand out from the rest.

It is also about attitude, and if you are a negative person, then the chances are you will always be negative and will stop you from being a success.

Also, he talks about people who are control freaks, and that in some way we all are, that is how we take control of our kids, taking control of our jobs and life in general.

He talks about how when he first met his wife, how she was not interested in him at all and he couldn’t figure out why, and then through a friend who put a good word in for him, he began to go out of his way to try and get her attention, to eventually going out with her.

It is all about perseverance which I talk a lot about too, as with being a parent and creating blogs and books, it is the same thing.

I love this book and would definitely listen to it again and would like to read more of his books as he is so inspirational and straight to the point.

So go and check it out and if you have a book you would like to recommend to me then please leave a comment below.

Many thanks for reading,

Carrie X
