I know a lot of coaches and health experts say to get out of your comfort zone, and that is me included and have changed that mindset. I have begun to realise that this can often lead to stress and anxiety, and so from my own self I like to take it step by step, rather than jumping in with both feet and hating every minute of it.

There are many things I have wanted to do something that I never thought I could do and that is speak publicly to people and from watching others film their life, to help others I have three Youtube channels and now working on radio.

At school I was mocked when we had to play game, where we had to, for one minute talk about an object or subject and I was stuttering and wanted the earth to swallow me up and it made me for a while fearful of talking in front of the class and yet, as a young child performed in shows when I did tap and ballet had no fear and loved it.

When you grow from being a child into an adult your awareness increases of ourselves and begin to have feelings we have never had before and I was super shy at one point. I attended a drama school and was fearful, and I just froze and just sat there and didn’t know what to do and the teacher watching,f was really looking at me as if I poohed in the class and just wanted to run and not come back.

Yet I loved dancing and when I got to be in a school play again loved it and performed in assembly’s but when it came to speaking out I was a nervous wreck.

Doing Drama helped me and how I gained my confidence to talk in front of people and planning on what I was going to say and I was shy going to my first session of ballroom dancing and soon overcome my shyness and found the skill I was good at and it bought me out of shell and glad I took the chance and it was through a friend, and going with a friend can make it less daunting if you want to do something that you have always wanted to do, and can make it fun and take the fear away.

So never allow your fear to avoid chances because it can have a real positive effect to lead to other chances.

Hello and welcome to another post. This week was a bit rushed as there were appointments were made ages ago and so was thinking I had a clear week had to reschedule and manage my content in the little gaps and doing two courses so had to change my plans but that’s life.

In this video I am sharing https://youtu.be/H4L8hdfj_mE getting to grips with life and getting my arse in gear as I guilty of putting things off so I schedule when I know I have a clear day to get it done. I am giving my kitchen in Epsom cupboard cleaned inside, and cleaning is not my favourite thing, so I need a clear day to know not to put it off and get it done.

I filmed a vlog that is coming on my vlog channel, Typical London Gal Carrie Holmes, of cleaning my packaging and cutlery draw. Jobs that I like to do, but want to take my time in doing and not rush. I am not a fan of rushing.

So I hope you enjoy this video and if you’d like to know when I post a blog or video subscribe to my educational Youtube channel and is completely free and this blog site.

I am doing a Life Coaching course, and watch a bit of Youtube just whilst I have my first cup of tea for the day.

I like to make sure that I do some tidying the morning or the evening after dinner and switch things off as I have a overactive mind and if on my laptop and mobile before bed it will effect my sleep.

So I hope you have found my blogs and videos helpful for you to have a better time and better year, and remember please subscribe, as then you won’t miss out on anything I post.

everyone can build a castle, fun days out summer holidays 2022, life coaching programmes, London pictures, what is coming up for Autumn 2022

Tomorrow it is the last day of my Life Coaching programme “The Summer Project 2022”, and managed to fit a new video, check it out here: https://youtu.be/PAl0RT4OUSY

Image I took of my son’s and I trip into London School Summer Holidays 2022

Thank you for all the likes and follows, it really means the world to me. I can’t believe this week of the School summer holidays and I have had so much fun, and it be back in the routine of school and my routine changes, in that I work in the morning, and I have new programme beginning, which is the “Autumn Reset 2022” and is all about resetting your life for a better Autumn and get back into the winter time zone and when the nights get dark early.

This will run as of the beginning of September to the end of October and will be getting back into colder days and nights. It is good to get ready for it, and time for birthday planning and Christmas. It stuns me how close it is and feel a little bit anxious knowing it is leading close by and so be thinking about cards and gifts.

I will be doing gift guide videos and will be prepping for the festive cheer and setting more challenges for myself and going to have a more fun this year. I no longer want to be a humbug, even though many of us will be struggling with the price of things and many family scrimping and scrapping, and so it means lowering the budget but still have a good time.

I find it makes me want to be a bit inventive and not buy the same thing, in terms of presents and will be doing all I can to reach out to you in helping you get through the Winter slump.

So, I am going to enjoy this last week and then will be having a revamp of my life and getting rid of items I no longer need but may be for someone else, and sensible about where my money is going too.

It is all about making the most of what you have and how you can save without living for each paycheck.

“Summer Project 2022” Reset your life

building your life, getting your life together, life coaching, reset your life, summer project 2022

I now use Sundays as a Reset and it really gives a kick start to the week ahead. I am not a massive fan of cleaning and so it does take a long to get myself to do it, but feel good once done and seen the results.

I use Sundays and Mondays to reset and that is clearing rubbish, go through lists not completed and just go through what I have done and what I do next.

It revaluates your life, as you can see what area of my life you need to work on, example for me I need to fit in time exercise more, and so I will go for a walk each day and once I get the message “Do a workout” that is exactly what I will do, and you can use exercise to reset your life.

Exercising has so many benefits. Example I find it gives me a good boost of energy and feel good about my body and how I feel about myself. I will make sure I give myself time to look after my skin and going through what I have that I still love and what I don’t.

I will vacuum my bedroom each week and do a bit of dusting, and just getting things in shape. I like space and allow myself time to gather my life and keep growing.

Spend time to journal and gather my thoughts and fears. Have time changing my bedding and just spend time working and building on different areas of my life.

It can be anything that is making you feel overwhelmed and you need more shape in your life.

So have time to reset your life and help you be in a positive mindset.

“Summer Project 2022” Finding the right Station

finding the right destination, finding the right station, life coaching, Personal Development, self help

When we get off a train it is because we want to go to a known destination and an idea of where we want to go, but with life there are stations we never get off on, because we have no need too, but often when I used to travel into the central London, would forget where I was going or I’d be trying to keep my eyes open, missed my stop. I’d get into a panic state because now I have no idea of where I am going and the fear was getting stranded and so now I travel I often will be looking at the map on the train, numerous times to make sure that I get off the right station.

Photo by Fabrizio Verrecchia on Pexels.com

So what happens when we forget and miss our stops?

Be glad that I had realised and didn’t travel any further and hope I can get back where I forgot to get off to go too the right destination? I would instantly get panicky and feel really stupid, and start to demolish myself. Yet if someone actually said these things to me and not in my head, I would be like “No you are wrong and I am not the only who’s done that”, but its fine to say it to ourselves.

We have all got off the wrong stop, and we will make mistakes which I did a video on, which was a chat video: https://youtu.be/SUw2pGZlPoI All about when my son had a new teacher teaching him swimming and one of the dads got a bit annoyed about it, as she wasn’t as thorough unlike the usual teacher and was being supervised whilst she taught, but did okay and we all make mistakes.

Did she panic? No

Did she get angry? No

She got on and taught her lesson, and the kids learning including my son, were fine. So getting off the wrong stop doesn’t mean your going to be stuck forever, you learn, THAT IS LIFE, and you will still be a success and you’ll know soon where to get off and get on. As Dean Graziosi, life is about repetition, and so as keep doing the journey you’ll always know, and when you do, then the panic will fade.

“Summer Project 2022” Choosing who we want to be in life

ambition, choosing who you want to be, health and wellness, life coaching, who I want to be

As a kid I always knew that I wanted to do something that was different to those before me being an estate kid, did with their lives. As a kid I was full of ambition, and loved dancing and wanted to be a pop star one day or be on stage in a musical. Well I did have a chance as I did when I was very young did tap and ballet classes and take part in shows, and then went onto doing ballroom and latin dancing.

Photo by Mikhail Nilov on Pexels.com

They came about because of other kids I knew and it gave me a reason to get out of bed, then I stopped and then fell in love with football and changed my mind of who I wanted to be, and felt a new world had shown itself and was what I wanted to do instead.

I would dream about playing football, but actually it wasn’t that I wanted to play, but build my knowledge and wanted to be a football coach, and years later did my level FA coaching qualification at Richmond college, and did get a chance to coach. Then I fell pregnant so had to stop, as I didn’t drive and couldn’t carry my stuff with me, and it turned out to be a good decision, because in the end it was traumatic when Henry, my son arrived, and would like to continue again, but I then discovered the internet and his many things you can do on it, and began a blog.

This with a few of my other blogs I began to write, was one of my first, and feel this is now who I want to be. I want to be a blogger and full time writer. It can take its time, to choose who you want to be, and I want to be known for my blogs and help get in touch with people who I can help through my blogs.

I then began to write books and who I want to be. I do still see myself as a estate kid and has had a influence on me, because it was a huge part of me still. I am a mum and love it, my son is the biggest I could have wished for and is who I want to be.

I get a buzz when my son calls me mummy and gives me hugs and tells me he loves me, and is such a gorgeous boy, Is that being biased? Probably, but is it? I mean he is my pride and joy, and he is adorable and people comment on him saying how he is so friendly and gorgeous he is. He makes me laugh like noone else and we have a bond that is out of this world, and feel good about being a mum. Yes there are challenges, but life is about growing, if we limit ourselves that is always going to the case, so we have to come across challenges as this how we become who we are.

So who do you want to be? Start building your life and never fear it.

To let you know I did a new video talking about my last blog about having lazy days and habits leading to habits so, check it out: https://youtu.be/QHzxtk2-0LE

I will be making these blogs and videos into an Online course, as I did last year, and if you’d like to check my Online courses out I have linked to my page: Online Courses/Education

“Summer Project 2022” Being Super Lazy/habits leading to other habits

habits, having a chilled day, lazy days, life coachng, look after yourself

I can be one lazy bitch when I want to be, but now I have started to see that I can still have those days but schedule them in, and still continue with my good habits as I take a day off, and since becoming a mum that has altered a lot. I often have forgotten to have lazy days.. I no longer spend time travelling to watch a Rugby League team I used to follow and no longer go up into central London for a drink, but as I write this I still want to do this and be on my own, but making sure I stay safe if I do that. It will take a lot of courage but feel I need to do at some point to break the fear of it.

Photo by Los Muertos Crew on Pexels.com

I have found that I can still be lazy but dressed, like now I have changed into shorts after being out wearing leggins as I have to wear cycling shorts under my everyday shorts when walking and moving, to stop chaffing, but they are in the laundry basket so now I am at my desk and going spend the day working, chilled and fully relaxed in my shorts, and going to have a blissful day.

That for me is what is important. We all need those times to take it easy, and whilst shopping, buying food I had to catch myself from rushing, because today I didn’t need to, but rushing becomes a habit that can cause burnout so I rein myself in and take my time.

I remember when working in a call centre and there was a lady there called Mrs Rush Rush, because I would talk fast, walk fast and be on my toes running around so I could be back at my desk taking more calls, and complete my day. I felt worn out, like numb by the end of the day. I would have anger issues, because of taking unhappy calls and it would drain me. I felt like I couldn’t talk anymore and would go home to my husband in a mood.

Again this became a habit. Now I slow down. I don’t need to rush and have always been good at time keeping so needed not to rush. That is why I need lazy days, so I can unwind and forget the rush and just be in my element. My laptop, youtube, TV and a good book.

When I travel I often finding myself running for the bus, when I have left myself time to, if I miss it to get the next one. I don’t need to run but the city girl within me, being in London often will set in. Yet once on the bus I will be happy reading my book and chill before my son comes home from school.

With the summer holidays I have tried to chill too. My son is not a fast walker but he has bags loads of energy and often have to think on my feet, and that is not easy.

Just to say I do have a Life coaching course on my Educational Network, checkout this link here:

https://carrieseducationnetwork.thinkific.com/

So now I will make sure I take a lazy day and catch up on a good TV series, watch a series of videos and I love watching documentaries and sport, so I make time to do that, and yes having a better life, is to spend time with yourself and the things and people you love, without the rush and losing ourselves in everyday busyness.

Many thanks for reading,

Carrie X
