Yes hello and welcome! So are you ready for this years Life Coaching programme? It will start on Sunday all the way to the end of August 2025 and so here is the printable for it and fill it in as we go.
It is free to download and print and will begin with Your Focus.
There is no pressure and just focus on what is important for you to change and adjusting to feel better in your life and move on from the past, focusing on the day and setting up for the future. Life for me is about growing and making better with each milestone and transitions that life brings.
Hello! Today is the beginning of my Winter Wellness programme that I have created to help you have a good winter when we can feel gloomy and fatigued all day and not wanting to get out of bed.
As I write this blog I am listening to Enya who I love playing when it comes to winter time. Yesterday I posted my printable on introducing this new programme I have created Winter Wellness Programme Begins
Image I took when we took my son and his cousin to the Winter Christmas event in Wimbledon.
So going to cover in this programme:
Wrapping up the year to get ready for the new year.
How to get through the darker days and nights
Cozy nights and what would you like to do in the Winter
Slowing down and do less
Setting goals for winter
Making the most of the daylight
Good Wellness Practices I use to enjoy the Winter time
My dad was never a fan of New years Eve as it is Winter here in the UK and I tended to get emotional about it. I would set resolutions that I never followed through with. So what I did instead was make life changes and helped me with following through and stick to the changes I wanted to make.
In the printable I have included a section to write down goals, go through your current routine and what you want to change and enjoy. Like what TV do I want to watch, meals I enjoy having and drink too.
I like winter walks and taking part in a Winter Walk this winter in January, in London and going to a pantomime or show. I like winter drinks, such hot chocolate, a mulled wine and winter ciders, making sure I am sensible, but just slow down and using the bleak days better by doing things I enjoy.
So in the work book go through what you enjoy and if it is to go on holiday to a warmer country then that is fine. One year I went away on holiday at Christmas. It was a brilliant experience and would like to do that again one Christmas time. I love Christmas and winter markets. I like to watch some old films and repeats of TV specials and new ones.
I am doing No spend January again this year where by I buy only what I need and still go out for a coffee to help stop me being on my laptop all of the time, but not spending money on clothes I don’t need or get carried away because of the New Year sales.
I like to plan my budget and planning for the new year and reflect on the year gone.
I really hope you get a lot of out of it, my Winter Wellness programme and if you’d like to be alerted when I post on this site and will be making videos too on my Educational Youtube channel too, please subscribe. Images of places visited in the Summer of 2024 and places I have visited and walks
So I have had a really good summer, by doing some wonderful things and I think it is having more positivity, and one of my dreams from when I left school back in 1996, was working on a radio by working for a hospital radio and it has happened and I love it.
I am doing courses that I have wanted to do and feel that my life is taking shape and to continue to follow my dreams, and yes there have been bumps on the road, but that is part of how we can have a different outlook on life, by pushing forward and not allowing those bumps, stop me, from having a good day now and have been less stressed over it.
There was a time I just didn’t want to be alive and felt my life was boring and I had become a different version of myself, someone who didn’t want to get out of bed and go out. I was sleeping through most of the day and needed help.
I got the help, from spending time in hospital and it helped me get back on my feet and back to feeling good about my life and now I have cleared my debt, gone for long walks again and exercising, taking my son swimming, finding my son a good school that met his needs better and having fun with my son, and with family and writing books. I have one that is being proof read and working on a series called Mum&Me, and working on book 2 and got other books I am writing and reading a lot.
So you can change your life into a more positive one, no matter what hurdles you face?
Absolutely and being in my 40’s my love of life has grown and have so many things I am loving, like seeing my son ride his bike, going to pubs and having some food, enjoying what I have in my life and not focussing on what I don’t have and that life is about, how you make it and what it means to you.
Please check out Pinterest where you will find my videos, blogs and resources for this years Summer Project 2024. Please give me some feedback and what blogs you liked and what you’d like to blog and film about in next years, in 2025. You can leave a comment below.
If we didn’t have a Queen, we would have never had a King and now we have a King, he now will be head of the monarch and it has been a massive adjustment and I bet that he feels that too. It is not the title but the thing they do that has a massive impact and the Queen did that.
She had problems of her own, but she always showed up. You have Nelson Mandela who was imprisoned and became a figure head and helped stop black people being used as slaves and being mistreated and became a leader of his country and did so much to improve lives.
When I talk about Nelson Mandela, I think about Bob Geldof who used his talent of music to make a difference to those in Africa that were starving and created Band Aid, with it still to this day the song “Do they know it’s Christmas time” is still being played at Christmas and there have been different versions since then, but as far as I am concerned you can’t beat the original song. It sends a real message that we, including myself have taken special days and events for granted and there are many people who don’t because we still have people trying to have a normal life but because of money they aren’t able to.
Then there are children and Michael Jackson for example who were iconic because of his status in the music industry, that his music made a difference and with many being written by himself and still being played, long passed his life and his family lives. He was star from a child and he didn’t know anything else. Then there were the Spice Girls who became iconic, because they achieved success that beat male bands out of the air and still today they make an impact. Victoria Beckham, is now a fashion designer and Emma Bunton has been working on radio and helped the girl bands and that it okay to be a woman in music, and did get in touch with young girls and I remember when they became iconic, because I was living in a housing estate at the time a couple of girls upstairs were singing and copying the dance that they did to “Wannabe” and still today their music lives on.
I think it is because it takes people out of their lives for four to five minutes and helps them get through their lives. Music to me has had a massive impact and it takes me back to certain times and addresses how I am feeling. Sports like football helps you switch off from your life and that is how Paul Gascoigne became a famous because him crying made everyone else feel it, when we lost against West Germany in 1990. We saw them as human beings, which we can often forget and got in touch with people’s hearts. It boosted the football in England as we were so close in getting to the final and then the Premiership came to light and this changed the view on football and the leagues had all been shuffled and been changed.
Those who make such a impact has made us all wish to do the same and inspired us to be somebody by making a difference.
My grandparents and parents have been a massive impact on my life as it made me stand on my own two feet and that I do have a good effect support around me and grateful, rather than thinking of what I didn’t have, and embrace life now thinking of those who have helped me grow and will continue to do so.
If you’d like to share who was your biggest impact in your life. Please share you story if you wish and please subscribe to help grow this site and keep creating content that helps you.
I told this bit of advise from a lady who is on Youtube and sent her a message on her channel as I am now presenting on Epsom Hospital Radio, and I was a bit unsure of how to take on this opportunity. As I naturally do, out of habit, question myself, and so asked her for advise and she said to be my Authentic self. This for me means be who you are and not what others want you to be.
This is me in a rare selfie and has helped me be Authentic and be thankful for who I am.
Never be someone your not and be honest, and true to yourself and grow, but remember who you are and what you can bring to the table. Take each show as it comes and see what happens, and stop jumping in with both feet and take my time, so I don’t put too much pressure on myself and enjoy the experience, and be open to honest feedback by the person training me, and I have loved it.
Going to be hosting show on Sunday 4 to 6 so if you want to listen if you are in the UK then please listen and will be some real good chill out music and is a dream job.
In learning, as you do each day, I feel that you have to admit to yourself of when I’ve been wrong about things and I did in a video for my Life coaching programme, about, Its okay to not to always be right, https://youtu.be/VZ69j6csoXA and that planning ahead is me, but owning loads is not and that I am changing again, you go through changes in body and mind and been learning to love myself, of what I am about and yes I have done wrong, so not perfect but am a giver and why connecting with others.
There was a time where I loathed my life and wished I had a different story to tell, but actually my life has been good and stopped feeling sorry for myself getting on with life and focusing of what I have in my life, not what I don’t.
Life can be good if you allow it. It is not always full of doom and gloom, but it also okay to feel different motions to manage them so they don’t stop you from living a happy life.
It is good to just take my time to drink a cup of tea or coffee and gather myself to set the tone of the day and not rush. It is good to set up your day so you look forward to it, like a nice cool shower with a lovely shower cream you like, that makes you feel fresh and alive.
My choice is Radox, Nivea, Sanctuary Spa and just enjoy the water on my body, with a hair wash with Dove, head and shoulders and others I like to use different ones and do this each Sunday morning feeling properly awake, ready to take on the day and week ahead.
I do like a bath too but I save that for evening and good to have a lovely soak after a very hot day and just wind down after the eventful day to ensure I get a good nights sleep. I am been using Sanctuary Spa bath soak.
Then it is going through my plans for the day. I love planning and setting goals. I am going to set up some goals for the next season that is coming up (Autumn) and prepare for the next year of school, so my son is prepared to go back and completing my Life Coaching programme “Summer Project 2024” and if there something you liked that I have covered in this years (2024) life coaching programme, please give me your feedback of what you’d like me to talk about on this blog. You can leave a comment below.
The other thing is journaling. I love to journal and going to get back into scrapbooking, to store memories and get some pictures printed to help store them and creating more art and started to create my own prints as I am going to be doing up my room in Epsom and also going to use the shed, which we having work done. We are getting the roof of the shed redone and plan for my programme, Autumn Reset which I do each year and helps to get areas of my life completed, to start new projects and also complete another course. I have completed many as there are many things I want to do and create and continue to grow online and on the outside too, by making a difference for people.
It is important to have things set up so you can ensure that every gets done and you enjoy life.
We can get so bogged down with to do list and feel “Why?” can’t I do that another day? And so think about it, what do you want to do? What would make it easier? Perhaps you are thinking too much about it and thinking about the process, and that is putting you off.
One of habits to get bits done is to jot if down and what is the first step I need to do. Example: Cleaning my room. So I think about what one thing can I do write now that will help make it less painful? So I started clearing receipts and put them in a small folder. I then it charged it up and then went through what can I do next, and then found myself taking it all cleared and it took literally five minutes to do.
So take your time and clearing one thing is still getting it done.
I will spend my time each day checking my bank accounts and what has come out and gone in. Every Sunday I will go through what I spent in the week, and helps me to monitor what I buy and how it is spent as I do prefer spending cash and not debit.
just staying stop of things, gives me that piece of mind.
So go through your habits and what habits you want to implement in your life, and what is working in your life and what is not. Set your goals and what the outcome do you want. Yes it is August and the last month of summer and means that going back to school is on the horizon and here are some tips on getting your life together post holidays.
It is important to develop Habits that change the way you feel about life, example I will do bit of computer work in the morning then drink my tea in bed and enjoy the morning getting ready for the day and having a good nights sleep.
Sleep can dictate how we feel each day and its important that you can switch off and turn your devices off and allow yourself to read a book, watch a bit of TV and properly wind down. I don’t have a TV in my room so will watch something on my laptop but again limit it.
Then it is waking up and getting ready.
What steps could you take in the morning that you could change to make it better?
Just think about it. Now I am not saying I am perfect but now I make sure I give myself enough time so I can blend into the morning and take steps so my days are set out, and that I spend time getting my self and my son ready for the day, sorting myself out and go through what I need to get done.
How could you plan better?
I have begun using google calendar again and Notion to have help because I can update them wherever I am using the APPs. One Note is good and free but can get full and so using Notion which if you use the Personal format it is completely free.
I like to break my day up by taking a break from laptop during the day and has really made a huge difference as I was struggling to write and taking time away is important to rest the mind and why I like to break it up by doing my laundry, a bit of cleaning and watch TV or Youtube.
Planning my days has helped make sure I stay up to date with my sons schooling, any appointments I have and exercise. I love building up my steps by walking everyday, including using a treadmill and I do workouts with dumbells, and just having habits that has a good effect on my body, my mind and most important my health.
Just set it out and once you look at your routine and how you plan and why you can’t complete anything and miss appointments. It could be ADHD as adults can have it and that you are giving yourself too much to do each day and not breaking it down.
Are you having trouble trying to stick with good habits
Like I said I have and so if something not wrong that I need to find another way that makes me stick with it until I have found that works for me. I do like to bet up early because I always done so and so immune to it, but it not a necessary, Steven Bartlett doesn’t and doesn’t book any appointments before 11:30am so you may find that you are an night out, which I thought I was but no, but it what works for you that makes your life feel easier rather than a fight.
Change one habit at a time and some will come naturally like I like to be ready each day but 7:30am when my son goes to school or kids holiday club, this includes breakfast and taking my medication and set a time to get ready by.
At the weekends I like to stay in my night gear a little longer and watch a bit of morning TV because I have stopped watching a lot of TV as this can effect your mind and body and I get bored quickly so I will make sure that I am done all that I needed to do in the day by 2:30pm and then go if it is sunny sit in the sunshine.
So change habits not just for short term but that gives you a better wellbeing and feel happy about your life and where it is heading.
I know a lot of coaches and health experts say to get out of your comfort zone, and that is me included and have changed that mindset. I have begun to realise that this can often lead to stress and anxiety, and so from my own self I like to take it step by step, rather than jumping in with both feet and hating every minute of it.
There are many things I have wanted to do something that I never thought I could do and that is speak publicly to people and from watching others film their life, to help others I have three Youtube channels and now working on radio.
At school I was mocked when we had to play game, where we had to, for one minute talk about an object or subject and I was stuttering and wanted the earth to swallow me up and it made me for a while fearful of talking in front of the class and yet, as a young child performed in shows when I did tap and ballet had no fear and loved it.
When you grow from being a child into an adult your awareness increases of ourselves and begin to have feelings we have never had before and I was super shy at one point. I attended a drama school and was fearful, and I just froze and just sat there and didn’t know what to do and the teacher watching,f was really looking at me as if I poohed in the class and just wanted to run and not come back.
Yet I loved dancing and when I got to be in a school play again loved it and performed in assembly’s but when it came to speaking out I was a nervous wreck.
Doing Drama helped me and how I gained my confidence to talk in front of people and planning on what I was going to say and I was shy going to my first session of ballroom dancing and soon overcome my shyness and found the skill I was good at and it bought me out of shell and glad I took the chance and it was through a friend, and going with a friend can make it less daunting if you want to do something that you have always wanted to do, and can make it fun and take the fear away.
So never allow your fear to avoid chances because it can have a real positive effect to lead to other chances.
Are you so busy you don’t know what the day is? I thought with my son being off school last Tuesday that is was a Sunday and forgot that it was Tuesday and today he is off and inspired me to write this post because I often will be so lost in getting my son ready for school, making sure he has all he needs for the day, to plan the meals and food to be used for the week and spending time writing and editing books I am writing, blogs and Filming vlogs and doing my courses I have enrolled in and get so sucked up by business and not having time to just sit and not be on my laptop and looking at my phone.
Pre-plan: We have so many ways to book a day off one with no phone, no laptop or looking at social media and not rushing to get out of bed, and let your family know that this is your day off and take yourself out on a date.
Get the kids do it: I do enjoy doing my sons dinner, but also like to have time off so depending on the age, and can use the oven, microwave and hob, then get them to make a meal or their own meal. This is not being mean, I just feel they need to be responsible and a essential skill is to know how to cook a meal. It is giving them more freedom.
Have a routine: So not being contradicting, but mean decide on what to drink, wear, listen to and watch and put up a do not disturb notice and make the time to have good old fashion “Me time”. This could be reading a book, going for a walk and tell family that you will be putting phone on silent and watch a TV Series. The programme I last watched was Outlaws on BBC iPlayer and was very funny and so looking for a new series to watch. I love a documentary and watched Lilly Allen Rags to Riches on Youtube and one thing I am dying to make when I have a day off, is homemade Nacho’s with the works. Guacamole, sour cream, salsa and a few chillies. So going to see if I can do this.
Meal for one. Do a meal for one and the Nacho’s could be it, but you can also buy yourself a steak dinner with a bottle of wine, as long as you drink safely and go to the cinema, or choose a movie at home and remember Ice Cream and popcorn if not doing Nachos.
Picnic season: This I love doing in the summer in the park with a coffee and going to use this time to write, or read a magazine.
A time to cleanse: I love my skincare regime and not just my face but other parts of my body and having a bath and hair wash. I like to use my Sundays to wash my hair whilst my son is still a sleep or watching his tablet, watching something with a cup of tea.
So look after yourselves and just enjoy the free time and just taking a break just for yourself can really help the mind and the body.
