happiness and wellbeing, having faith in people, having fun in your life, Life is about living

I think we discredit ourselves when people stop contacting us or someone has jumped in front of you and they feel more worthy that you and you are like “What about me?” “Why do bad things happen to me” like Ross in Friends and not everyone is going to be your bright light and I feel that life tests you, because some people you meet can be challenging and to see what type of people do we want in our life.

Photo by RDNE Stock project on Pexels.com

It can take a while when someone has been unkind to you to get over the hurt. They may feel you owe them something. You don’t owe anybody anything it is up to you, but keep the faith within you. Once you start having faith about yourself then you’ll find that its mumbo jumbo to you and that there are people who have your back. Why should we allow people who are unkind to upset your day? Everyone is allowed to live and its not about having the best life. I feel that is unrealistic as life comes with hurdles but that life can be fun and to now it is about being authentic.

Not everyone is going to be your friend and I am okay with that now.

It is good to have people in your life that think differently to you because I feel it opens up a good conversation and help build our own opinion or sometimes we like to listen to others problems to not give an opinion but a lending ear even if you don’t have an answer just to listen to others, the more you build trust as long as it is a two way street and if you have people who are the same as you then it can be boring. When people in your life has a different point of view it doesn’t mean you have to ignore each other but you see them of who they are and this is the same and the same. I like that I have different type of people in my life and I love the people I met at Butlins because we had to put up with eachother. We had to stand on our own two feet and many were rebuilding their lives and doing something that was different to the every 9 to 5 job. Many were in the forces prior to working there and some had a tough time at home and so was a kind of escape from that.

I loved being part of a group and when there are people who care about your safety then you realise that the world is full good people, no matter how some are mean, are good and most people are genuine. With what is going on in the world it can make us cross and not see anyone but we have to keep on living and get the best out of life and get out into outside world and I feel those that do bad things, disrupt our lives and gives me more reason to respect my self and no I am not playing God, I want people to feel good about them selves and not to give up and there is another side of the world that is good and that this is just be a blip.

I would always get fed up when shopping and had been laughed at when trying on clothes so I decided that I wasn’t going to do that anymore feeling already self conscious from the beginning and I avoided changing rooms but then I was like “No I will try it on” and let those supposedly friends snigger. It made me realise that laughing behind someone’s back didn’t suit me and how I’d feel if that was me. I am lucky now though, having a good settled life and with people who truly love me and it as far as I am concerned has to be a two way street when it comes to being with people and having faith in yourself and others.

What Are You Feeding Your Brain?

comparing ourselves, consuming, reading, social media, watching tv

I have found that we are always consuming, we scroll on Pinterest and look at Instagram and shop. With Social media it can take over our day and when we watch a haul we instantly want to go out shopping and buy items from TikTok but we then see we didn’t need those items. We can compare ourselves and our lives and I am not being a hypocrite as I do use it, but I am careful what I watch and what I put out there into the world.

Photo by SHVETS production on Pexels.com

I am now vigilant it what I am feeding my brain with, because we can be easy be influenced and I am guilty of that.

Also are we listening to gossip? I remember working in a call centre and there would be people talking unkindly about other staff, celebrities, reading magazines and it could really make us feel uncomfortable and I was told I was no good at my job so decided to just not listen to it. As long as I believed in myself that was all that mattered.

I was there to work and didn’t always socialise, because I didn’t want to be surrounded by people who were going to talk about you the next day.

“what you put out there in the world is what you will receive”.

It is also bad news. I do watch the news but not all the time as I find it depressing and don’t watch anything too gory, but like a drama and I don’t watch soaps because I can be quite disturbed by them and rather watch a concert, Days in a life Video, writing tips and love being part of the writing community by watching those who have self published, getting tips and ideas, life coaching or a good podcast.

Also what we read. I am reading a book about the punk rock era and of a guy trying to make it and forming a band based up North, Liverpool and the music scene around that time. I find certain songs really can affect my feelings. Not because they are bad but because the song reminds me of a tragic time, like Never Walk Alone, I remember the Hillsborough Disaster and I just find it so heart wrenching because of the words and so I play certain songs that helps with my feelings unless it is for a book I am writing.

The diet culture. I have had an eating disorder, had really bad anxiety and body dysmorphia as I hated myself a lot as a child and teenager, because of the way I looked and I would be really upset. I avoided mirrors and changing rooms. Now though I love my body, my hair and skin. I like to exercise, learning what my body can do and am skilled. I can dance, write and a good imagination and creative.

So spend some time writing down the things you are feeding your brain and workout, what is effecting you and getting you down and what are the good things you are consuming?

It can take time but you mindset can change and work for you and not against you.

building my life for more, getting up early, how I like to live, making changes to your life, moving

I am always trying to better myself, example I wanted to get up earlier, but I fell back to sleep but I know when I do finally get up earlier more, like I have done in the past, will get more tasks done and I like getting up early, when it gets lighter again in the mornings will be better and will help me to be more awake and my energy boost is in the morning. However I do like my routine of reading first thing in the morning, during the day and in the evening.

Photo by Towfiqu barbhuiya on Pexels.com

People do think I am mad in wanting to get up super early but even thinking about this, is creating endorphins that makes me excited about it and know from experience that it will give me an extra boost.

The one thing I want to do next is to go on my early morning walks again. I love to walk and hearing the birds sing and hearing the trains and just taking in my surroundings. I am moving from my home in Wimbledon and I feel happy. Having to pack every week has taken it toll so now I am more or less be around the corner and my son is going to school, instead of going to the Library. It has been good. I have journaled, created a new book about a library and reading, but I feel school will be better for him and myself because he will have that interaction of making friends again, doing school clubs and back to his days broken up so he’s not restricted in one place and can run around during parts of the day and I can have some time to myself.

I also want to eliminate somethings. Unsubscribe from some Youtube channels. Not saying they are no good just my interests have changed, in what I like to watch and the same with my email accounts and reorganizing and sorting out the home.

So where is your life right now? What changes do you want to make?

It could be your finances. I am now on a Low Spend year and going to film more for my Financial Youtube Channel and not buying clothes and books and notebooks and this has made me really be vigilant with where my money goes. I do have a Youtube channel about how I manage my money to help you manage yours: (72) Financial Living – YouTube and I each year do No Spend January and do No Spend days.

It is good to go through your life and anything you not sure about and what would make that area in your life better? I need to get a lot done but I am looking forward to that and like having plenty to do and it will feel weird not being with my son, it will be a an adjustment again, but feel positive about it.

So where are you in your life and please let me know below of what you want to change and have more in your life if you don’t already? You can leave a comment below.

daily tasks and habits, free printable, managing your life, organising my life, weekly blog

You look at a windowsill in your home and it is cluttered so you tidy it up and now you have a a bit more structure. Your child gets a certificate for learning at school. I manage to cook a meal, never cook before. These are the small things that can make a big difference in how we see ourself and our life.

This weeks Cheat Sheet is all about the Daily things I like to do on a daily basis that sets up my day. The small wins are just as good as the small ones. Today I tidied up and get clothes out of my son for the day. Have my two cups of tea I like to have in the mornings and later will get a take away coffee.

Things I like to do on a Daily basisDownload

These are free to download and print. If you’d like to be notified of when I post on this Online Platform then please subscribe.

It can be the hardest the times when you have nothing set up to feel good about yourself and your life. It is all about living in the moment and like I did another Radio show yesterday after feeling so nervous and it was good and so tip# Go through what you have done each day.

It is a better feeling that you have taken on action, a step towards the bigger tasks like at the weekend, I went through my clothes and it is good to let things go, to focus on each day and I don’t need a new outfit all the time and rather book things to do. At half term I am taking my son to a show and take him to the Cat Cafe in London and like booking days out for my son.

Tip# Write down what you enjoy.

Tip# Get a bag and start to go through a draw and at the weekend as I had so many clothes, told my mum to get rid of anything in the draws I was using, away. I am moving so no longer going to live in Wimbledon, this is a huge change and means really getting my head down and do more things to move towards the bigger things I want to do and decide on what is important to me now and what is not. Making one change can make a huge different. Check this blog: Making one change

decluttering, home projects, January 2026, letting things go, Winter Wellness

It is time to declutter and say goodbye. There have been many Youtubers who are doing videos on decluttering and organising videos at the moment and I too have been decluttering. Soon we will be moving. I have been filming some decluttering I have done and planned too do more. I am currently sorting out my bedroom and my sons, along with the Living room and the kitchen. I like to get things in order as I can be messy. Check out this vlog: https://youtu.be/c8ECaPgezp8

My room is being changed and as you can see it needs to be improved.

I am not always one to fold clothes and then wonder while I am mentally insane. My mum is like Mary Poppins she can turn a unmade bed into a masterpiece. To me it is a pain in the backside because I still end up with creases and the Mattress protector won’t stay in place and feel like abandoning it as soon as I start and a lot of swearing starts to come out of my mouth.

I will begin to pull my hair out that one of my Aunties cats used to do as I try to keep things in order but it never works out that way.

So the first thing is what is getting on your nerves?

If there is something that is really bugging you then it is a good place to start. So for me I bought some new pillows because mine have gone out of shape and I like to regularly change them and then will wash and replace my bedding again and eventually I will get a new set.

Then what areas do you like?

Embrace these areas and take photos and create an album so you can see what is working and what is not.

I exposed my mess in a Vlog I ( just linked it above) showed my corner unit in my bedroom. It is a hindrance but I like my bedside. I will be putting shelves up for my books and going to tackle my corner unit and get it in order. It is on my list so it won’t be a hindrance anymore. WHAT i AM TELLING MYSELF ANYWAY!

Do an area at a time.

So you may say, Monday I will sort out the kitchen and do a draw. Then once that is done then move to the bedroom.

So this week my plan is to, sort out the top of my closet. I see what I can let go of and what I want to keep. What will be useful and will not.

Then following week I will sort out another bag. I find it to overwhelming to do it all in one go and so I like to do it in steps. At the weekend I sorted out books as I am moving soon. I live in Epsom and Wimbledon and so will be moving to somewhere new, no longer in Wimbledon and so it is really being set on what books I want to read or let of the books I am not going to read.

When it is blistery outside it is nice with a cup of tea or coffee and get rid of what has no longer has place in your life anymore.

I like to have the heating on and I know some may be too scared and why not help a friend or relative have a declutter. Have a bit of a party with Bacon Sandwiches and tea allround or some tea and biscuits.

Why can’t it be a joint effort and gonna go through my sons books again as he has moved up a step now, with his books along with toys that have parts missing, ready for his new toys and games.

I have a new addition to my home in Epsom. A printer and my son is eager for me to set it up. We are also planning to have a cat. Yes we are and I am kind of looking forward to finding one that is suitable but means we have to be extra vigilant with what we have and not leaving bits of food on the floor.

It has been good and there is more change but I feel good about it, come with me on this journey.

Many thanks for reading,

Carrie X
