So it is here my printable for my Life Coaching programme Summer Project 2023 and topics I will talking about in my blogs and will do some videos too.
Let me know if you prefer blogs or videos, as this programme is for you and if you have anything you’d like to share then please do in the comments below.
If you have any questions please leave below and what you’d like me to share. Life is precious and so is time. We try so much to make others happy but we forgotten about yourself and so I want you to put yourself first for a change and make time just for you to recharge and reset your life and that is my motive and intention to help build your happiness like I have in my life and things I have learned now being 44 years old.
It talking about the being the underdog and in writing this I feel I have been a underdog when taking my dancing because I made a few mistakes and always passed but there were other pupils at my dancing school that were better and it took me ages to have 100% all high scores and when I played football, when I was picked to play at my Primary school was the underdog but I still played and to be the best you have to play against the best. Andy Murray was against Federer but then went on to win Wimbledon and other tournaments.
England football team against teams like Argentina, Netherlands and Germany we have been underdogs yet we still won and countries like Brazil, but we still qualify and still got to the final stages and from defeat you learn, and Gareth Southgate still turns up and picks players who could possibly be winners and stand a chance against teams that are seen as top rated international teams.
It doesn’t mean we have a chance, in fact it means we have more and seeing others succeed can be really a boost to be good at what we want to be good at or be better at. I was already naturally bodied to dance and play sports. That is down to coordination, but so did many of the other dancers I would dance with and made me improve and put in the effort in to be just as good.
This means competing against yourself and be better than what you originally was and challenging yourself, turning up to every lesson and visualising me doing the routines and steps, to practicing at home and watching professional dancing.
I want to pay a tribute to one of the judges that was on Strictly Come Dancing, Len Goodman, who whilst writing this blog I found that he has passed away as I went to see it and is one of my favourite TV shows and was his last series. He was such a brilliant judge and had watched him for years when you had the show before strictly, called Come Dancing and never got to see him dance but was such a lovely guy and wished I had as he was always cheering for those who were underdogs that never danced before and are the ones that I find most inspiring because it takes guts to want to perform in front of millions of people all over Britain and not danced before. Not saying I dislike the ones that are good and already contenders to win it, but it’s difficult and many like Ore Aduba who I did meet, have gone on to win it, and not danced ever. He didn’t even dance at his wedding.
It is a lot about trial and error, picking simple little tips and learning as you grow to be the best from being the underdog.developing your skills. We all have things to learn and I am the underdog being a self published author but this makes me want to write more books and continue to work towards having a best seller. It does take time but with persistence and determination it can happen, what you put into your dreams and ambitions is everything, so stand up if you have been underdog and gone on to be successful in areas in your life. You can leave a comment below, and love being inspired by other people its what helps me to grow within myself and out, and good luck with achieving the things in your life I have your back all the way,.
Well since 2021 I wanted to help others during Lockdown with my blogs as it was tough on all of use.so wanted to reach out and make a difference. At that time I was recovering from struggling with my mental health but I wanted to help people at the same time by teaching about building your life for a better year that has helped me. Life comes with challenges however much you avoid them but you can get back on your feet. If I can do it so can you. That is my moto. I want to see others succeed and be happy. It can take a lot of time but once your there you find that it is easy to control.
If you wanted to know I was diagnosed with Psychosis, and was in a bad way for a while. I did take medication and spent some time in a Mental Health hospital and was what I needed. I was depressed and lacked energy, and was very anxious and it affected me socially and emotionally too.
I got my life on track by starting to pick my son up from school again and by changing my habits and doing the things I love and doing lots of walking, spending time away from social media and setting new goals. I was in debt and now paid off one and now got one debt to pay and have began to save again and rebuild my relationship with money and making wise choices.
So this year it is my third year doing my life coaching program and if you didn’t I have made changes, check out my previous blog: Changes to my Life Coaching Programme 2023
It will begin on the 1st May 2023 and will be a bank holiday in the UK and will finish at the end of August. I am creating a printable which is almost completed, and will show the blogs and videos I will be filming, but there is so much I want to include but don’t want to bombard you with blogs and videos, so going to go through what I want to share and if you have any questions or specific topics you want me to add, then please leave a comment below.
This program is free and no cost at all, but going to create some online courses based on these programs and so when this is done will blog and let you know.
So I will blog again as we get closer to when my Life Coaching Program begins with the printable I am creating and what I want you to take from it. I do have a board created on Pinterest with resources and tools to help:
If you didn’t know my Life Coaching programme will be starting again, Summer Project 2023 and am working on a Printable which will be out next week. However I wanted to write this as I was watching Pepper Princess on Youtube and she was talking about how she is very minimal and spends nothing, and inspired me and wanted to write this blog, about creating spaces in our lives to do the things we love and stop doing the things we don’t love, and I like to create space to develop a positive mindset and stop feeling bogged down of the things I have that has no place in my life anymore. Part of creating is to let go.
This a photo of where my and my son walked during the Holidays and is in Morden Hall Park, one of our favourite places to walk
I did a challenge in March to declutter for a whole month and it was s therapeutic to see less around me and have continued, because I do want to buy some new clothes, as I have had a lot of clothes with holes and are too big and items I am never going to wear. Its not just clothes though, I have a obsession with notepads and now I am use mainly my diary and one note don’t need to use a notebook, and use them to help me make notes for the books I want to write and not going to buy anymore until I have used what I have and I feel good in creating this space. I would like my own stationary one day but not at the moment.
Then there is money. I have created a board on my Pinterest as I have rebuilt space to manage my money and not hide away from it. I did a video for my channel My Way of Living about my financial habits, because money however much you avoid it, needs to be managed and you need have space to help with that. I check my bank account everyday and feel that doing that has helped me be more financially happy and cut down on my spending habits and if I can’t afford something I don’t spend it.
Being a parent it is my duty and role to make space to spend time with my son and make sure I am fully present and that means stop my Social media viewing and this is a space that I am not willing to compromise, because I like this time. It has helped me keep fit because he is full of energy, and wants to play a lot and I am always in stitches because he gets me out of bed in the mornings, and will direct me when we play sport of where he wants me to stand, like when we play football he will literally move me to a space he wants me to stand and just writing that makes my want to giggle because they say that roles change as your kids look after you, but thought this happened when they are in their 20’s how wrong am I?
This leads to me making space to rest and recuperate.and exercise. Like I say spending time with my son helps me with exercise but do make the time aswell as that, by walking and using my dumbbells and mat, and do many different things, and use Youtube for a routine and then make sure I wind down properly each day to help me sleep well and rest, I no longer suffer with burn out and because I creating space to properly relax and make space to do some reading.
I love a good book and reading before bedtime after having a nice cup of tea.
Then there is space to have fun, with your kids, spouse or partner and seeing friends. We can forget to do this when we have a lot to manage, but again important. Set a date with your friends and meet for lunch. I have often meet my mum for lunch up London and just going for a lovely walk and being in a different place. The last weekend of the Easter Holiday I went to the South Coast to see friends I had not seen for a long time and it was a success, and not going to leave it so long next time and do more trips to see friends and family too.
I hope this helps you and yes as of the beginning of May I will begin my Life Coaching programme and so if you like to be updated of my when I post a blogs and videos remember to subscribe.
So if you didn’t know I have been doing monthly challenges, January was no spend, February was finding good deals on items I needed and March was decluttering and for April I have challenged myself to finish another book I have been writing.
I want it to be finished by end of April,
March’s challenge really helped me to see what I had and I will need to clear out more of my wardrobe as I have items that no longer fit and I just written a blog on my Versatile fashion blog about this: https://carriesversatilefashion.com
For the challenge I did for February a video talking about it and how it has helped me and will be doing this challenge again. It so good to let things go and want to do more.
See video below:
My tips would be to choose certain areas which you can break down and do it step by step. So I did my sons pants and sock draw, then next day I cleared my sons draw where his night clothes are, rather than doing it all at once and once my son’s draws were cleared and then started on mine.
It so good to start a fresh and want a new wardrobe I have decided and will do it as part of my 2023 Project, my Life coaching programme I have done the last to years and because these blogs have been liked, helps me to see that my content when doing this is helping and want to do more.
I hope you have a good Easter and there is more content to come and so please if you are new you can follow (subscribe) and so whenever I post a blog you will be notified.
I just had some lunch and popped out to get it and it was a wrap and a ring donut. I feel as a write this that I feel I have to justify in my head as to why I did that, when I have had type 2 diabetes, and say the famous words I answer in my head, “I don’t do this all the time” and I don’t.
I have had to manage my diet but if there is something I fancy then I let myself have that item and I do feel happy in having that treat. I like healthy food and the wrap I had was Chicken Caesar, and is my favourite food at the moment from Tescos. Of course not going to do this every day as it can be expensive because I could actually make my own, and perhaps that is what I am going to do, but we are allowed to have what makes us happy. I know if I had this all the time I’d get sick of it and am trying to stir myself away from eating too much chocolate, but if I deprive myself the more I want that item. It doesn’t have to be food, but is an example of having something you enjoy and doing something different in the week.
I know too much TV is bad, but I don’t watch a lot of TV again to me its a treat and I have to have some time away from my laptop, and nice to sit on the sofa rather than on my computer chair and going to make time in the afternoons and mornings to do a bit of reading, aswell as reading in the evening before I got to bed, and it really helps to manage my mind and my feelings.
The weekends I like to eat out on some weeks and in a cafe in a local park and mainly lunchtimes or go to a coffee shop, as my son loves them and likes to have a glass of cold milk and biscuit or if we have had a small lunch then will have an ice cream after dinner. During the week we don’t but at the weekend, because I spend the weekends with my son and not always I the week, I like to have fun with him aswell as doing some learning and encourage my son to eating healthy food, and can be enjoyable to, and a tip: teach your kids to cook .
Life is about living and we do like to go for walks, and visit a show and just spend that time doing different things that we don’t always get to do in the week.
It is good to have things to look forward and have fun. I don’t always want to have a coffee out, because I like making my coffee myself and can be expensive, but I am looking forward when the weather starts to get warmer having an iced coffee as I really enjoy them and buy the ones that you can get at the supermarket, aswell as from a coffee shop, and having a drink in a pub sitting by the river. I think I added this to my Newsletter for March and love going up to central London to have a drink watching the world go by.
Life can be boring if you do the same thing each day, and so it is good to have some down time, not having to go by a certain schedule but taking in life and its glory. I know life is hard at the moment and people are counting every penny, but you can still have a coffee, take a flask out with you and I like doing that having a reusable coffee cup drinking it whilst sitting reading a book in the park, with a packed lunch and just enjoying the sunshine. If you don’t have a blanket, use a duvet cover or a towel and make yourself a picnic, invite a friend to join you and have them bring some food or drink. Meet up and buy a coffee and a sandwich, and just having that time for yourself and others forgetting the errands and the chores and worry of money, and have some interaction seeing friends that you don’t get to see a lot of the time.
When it comes to finding books I go to charity shops most of the time and if you visit London, under Waterloo Bridge they have book stalls and for really good low prices and can find some real good books. I love reading in the park and why not have your kids read with you or have a outdoors book club and meet talking and having a picnic anything that is not what you always do and spending time with friends, can make a world of difference if you don’t get to do this on a regular basis.
Life can be chaotic and so doing the things you enjoy can help to recharge your mind and body ready to return to things you don’t enjoy but has to be done.
Thank you for the likes and the follows it really means the world, and soon it will be my Life Coaching Programme, 2023 Project, and will begin on the 1st of May to the end of June and so more content to come, and have a better year than the last.
So if you didn’t know I have been doing monthly challenges, and this is from last year and has really helped shape my life and get my life back on track, and make choices of what really matters to me right now, and what has no purpose anymore. It has helped me manage my money by not avoiding it and manage my spending and saving it, to invest in the things that are truly important to me, such as my son, travel and essentials like certain toiletries and skincare and not spending on what I don’t need, and if I can’t afford it then I don’t buy it, and pay off my debt, which is my credit card and my aim is to be debt free, like many people.
It has made me see that having so much stuff isn’t important its having essentials like food, drink and having a roof over my head.
When we have so much stuff we can get lost amongst it and feel overcrowded. It can make you feel like there is nothing else and feel good in buying another notebook when it can damage my bank balance and add to the clutter, rather than having purpose.
I use my notebooks to journal and notes, so they have a purpose but what I’d like to do, is what Terri Savelle Foy talked about have it all in one place, so this year once I need a new planner, as I follow the academic year, so from July to June, I am going to use what I have got into planners, like my Filofax, which are good, the only thing with that is they can get bulky, so going to use OneNote to plan along with using my Filofax, and notebooks I have got going to use these as journals as I like to keep this separate.from planing and for helping write my books.
When it comes to clutter you do have to be tough with yourself and so I will watch decluttering videos to get motivation and if you can have someone to help then do so, because I get protective over my stuff which influence me in not wanting to declutter but I know at the same time it has to be done.
This also means sorting my laptop and online programmes, like now as I continue to write this blog, spent time sorting out my Pinterest, and something I like to do, to update and share more content and having organized boards. You can check out my Pinterest via this link if you’d like to have a browse:
Please check my new Video showing the declutter I have been doing and hope you get inspired and declutter we can enjoy the spring and feel fresh and new.

Hello and welcome it is halfway in the week and so if there is something you’d like to read then check out this months newsletter where I talk about my monthly challenge, which is to declutter for a whole month and getting my life straight, and will be writing and sharing blogs on this and about Spring and what I am looking forward to and wanting the warmer weather and done with Winter and wear less.
So here it is and I hope you enjoy it and lets watch new flowers growing and babies born and welcome the lighter days and nights.
Watching a video by Phil and Alex, who were doing a cleansing detox, made me think that its not just what is inside the body, but for the mind and life too, when life gets too much.
Spend some time away from your phone: Last Saturday I was watching the rugby and was picking up my phone about 5 to 6 minutes, and annoyed at myself as Saturday’s I like to spend time away from my phone, in terms of checking my emails. watching Youtube and checking Instagram. I do still post at the weekend on Instagram of me to document the time I spend with my son, but I like to have my phone away, and do feel good for that. As my son gets annoyed with me when I am on my phone, and just having that time away can really help your wellbeing and your mind rest, because too much phone usage can make us feel unproductive and lose touch with reality.
Change your routine for some self care: Are you fed up of the same old routine? Perhaps you need to have a selfcare routine and change if you feel like you are procrastinating because you are bored, and so need a new routine so you can spend time having a detox, like putting on some chill out music, whilst you use a face mask and want your skin to glow. Stress can affect the skin, it has been discovered and so it is good to have some selfcare to look after your skin and have no make up days.
Work outdoors: Fed up of sitting at a desk in the same room and the same chair? Time to make changes to this and work outdoors. Of course this can be difficult when it is raining and cold, but once the summer starts to get closer, the temperature will change, and I enjoy writing outdoors, with a coffee and have a picnic for one. If not go to the library to work, or a coffee shop, if you don’t do this all the time and have a different change of scenery. In summer I want to film my videos and change my working space.
Detox your house: Last Sunday I continued doing my March challenge, which is to declutter for an entire month, and having less does feel good, but there is more to do, that I need to put away and have more space and be strong in doing so. The items I like to keep is my notebooks because I use these to plan goals, make notes and my writing of my books, because in case someone takes my idea, and because some books I’d like to go back to, to write. I plan to write more books, and use up what I have got before I spend more on items I don’t need to. I don’t need anymore showering gel, or moisturiser as I have plenty to use, and anything not used I will give to someone else or donate.
Detox your mind: I have already talked about stress and goes with the others, like not using your phone and putting it away, but what an help this too, is exercise and I often if I feel things are getting too much, I will walk as this helps to clear the cobwebs away and helps me go through my thoughts and mindfulness is a great tool to use when walking with no headphones in the ear, but taking note of birds, squirrels and visiting a national park can help clear the mind and be present with yourself and enjoying nature.
Have a financial detox:I like having no spend days and if you didn’t know I did no spend January this year and it was so good to help me balance my money. only getting items I needed, and it feels good not having to many receipts. I want that to be my focus and have a lighter purse without receipts, as they just cause clutter. It has help me spend wisely and stop the impulse buys. It good to have a full bank account and saving. This year I want to pay off my debts, and managed to clear one debt and is good to see my credit card balance going down. Being in debt and cause a lot of stress and so it good to sit down and go through subscriptions you no longer use, and making the money I have last, and see my savings going up.
It is so worth it to detox certain areas of your life when things get to much and feel good about life again and growing positively and being rid of the stresses of it, and have a good balance of home life, work life, and getting in touch with what is around you that can help balance your life to feel good within yourself.
As I continue to declutter and make plans to sort out my belongings, it helps me to value the things I have. Example: a bed for my son for when he comes and stays with me at the weekend, and the desk space I have to write my blogs and books, and for the curtains that black out the light to have a good sleep, and shoes that protect my feet. This helps me not to buy another pair of shoes, a brand new set of curtains, and so I go through it of the items that gives me comfort and peacefulness in my mind and how I feel about myself.
This is not to say I will never buy clothes or shoes again, or have the same curtains for the rest of my life who knows what is destined for us, we never know so being appreciative to what we have already that makes you happy can delete those feelings we get when we want a pair of shoes that sparkle or the latest iPhone, when we know its just more expense and actually what we were already using was enough and then worry because we couldn’t really afford it and the buzz you had in buying the item has quickly gone.
As I wrote this blog I just picked up my gratitude journal and wrote what I currently value down as I love practicing gratitude and being thankful. Look around you and the people in your life, how do they add value and how do you feel around them and others like I wrote that I value the roof over my head and the my everyday trainers I bought from TU Sainsbury’s as they weren’t that expensive and wear them most of the time, because they are so easy and light on my feet. I value the food that is made for me as I currently live with my Mum and step dad and so grateful the space and room I have and so need to value more as I want a more minimal amount of stuff that no longer gives me joy.
It’s following the Kon Marie method of if that item gives you joy or not, and what purpose does it give? My trainers for example help me walk and comfortable and goes with what I like to wear and are practical as my son likes to play sports and I do a lot of travelling and saves me time, and saved me money.
For me it is essential item because I need in order to travel and get from A to B and buy food as some days my mum and step dad go out and not rely on others and to be able to buy stuff for my son and I believe that every penny does count as I would like to give my room a make over and have it more organized, and so it is essential item to live, and respect it for the items it allows me to have.
My dad used to say “That money speaks a difference language” and part of me believe that too. When I worked in accounts if people didn’t get their expenses paid they would get angry about it and would hunt me down, and found tough because it was a lot of work for one person, and felt overwhelmed. Since those days my relationship with money is starting to be good again, as it is hard when you have little and you have bills to pay.
I did get into debt and became reliant on using a credit card and it can be stressful and can really effect how you feel about money but I am to blame and I have had to admit that. Admitting that has helped me to get back on track with my money and stopped me from taking it for grunted and I like to see money saved and can’t wait to pay off my debt and put it behind me. I have already cleared one, so just got one debt which I am getting down, and so money is important and is what we need to survive, but not having a load of stuff that will make us happy for 5 minutes but forever.
When I buy something now I think to myself Do I need it right now? Will it last once its been cleaned and what role will it play in my life. I know I don’t need 30 pairs of leggins, or 100 notebooks, to feel good about life, but enough that will help clothes me, and does it work with what I have got.
