Autumn Reset, everyone can build a castle, happiness and wellbeing, health and wellbeing, self help blog
There are times where I become resistant like walking and wanting to turn back to go home. Shutting the door to the world and hibernate for the autumn and winter gets quite strong, but once I complete a walk, I feel so good. I have to remind myself that everything I do will have an impact on my wellbeing and so as much as my mind and body resist doing what I have set out, it will help me to move me forward to completing my goals.

Doing a Autumn Reset is a good reason to fight my resistance to turn back as it is start of a new year for me and get tasks finished. Just doing on thing I know I haven’t wasted any time. I like to set my own rota. Walt Disney would always do impossible projects and I have started to use that mindset. Anything is possible if you stop your resistance in achieving what you feel is impossible. It is all to do with mindset and not allow the negative to take over but I take note of it and a great excuse to do it.
I know for my radio show that as I think about writing my notes for my show my body will stop and be like “That’s too much” and so I will answer it and once done feel relieved and focus on reason why I make notes. It will help me with delivering a good show. I have that resistance editing my book because the “What ifs”. The human body protects itself and so any hard tasks feels like mount Everest but why breaking it down helps.
So if I just do one topic or one section I’ve done something and believe in my own capabilities. I was someone who would look for an excuse not to do something. I was fine once it was done but would feel like a car stalling and just want to avoid the challenge. Now though I got rid of excuses, I do what suits my days and time. I like to edit my book on Mondays. I like to do a tidy in the morning, afternoon I like to do a workout and I love morning walks and shopping as soon as shops are open and so just going by the time of the day that suits my lifestyle helps me not turn back and doing a weekly lay out of my days, has really had a good amount benefits and having a good whole day to get tasks done and knowing I didn’t just waste a day, makes me resist in turning back.
It can be so easy to give up. It can be so easy to avoid tasks. It can be easy to hide away from the world, but if you get stuck in a rut something needs to change and so to move forward do a task a day if it helps. I find it hard to do a big declutter for example so I do it as I go and it is great way to get things together, like I will go upstairs to take a clean set of clothing washed and bring down a finished toilet roll. I will after making my bed, get ready for the day and take some laundry downstairs into the washing machine and if you are married and have kids, delegate if it helps.
Why go it alone? Sunday’s my husband cooks the dinner, my son will help take cleans clothes upstairs and my mum will come with me to my sons rugby club and so that can help if you find it hard to do tasks alone.
Do what suits you and works around your lifestyle.
