Are you so busy you don’t know what the day is? I thought with my son being off school last Tuesday that is was a Sunday and forgot that it was Tuesday and today he is off and inspired me to write this post because I often will be so lost in getting my son ready for school, making sure he has all he needs for the day, to plan the meals and food to be used for the week and spending time writing and editing books I am writing, blogs and Filming vlogs and doing my courses I have enrolled in and get so sucked up by business and not having time to just sit and not be on my laptop and looking at my phone.

Pre-plan: We have so many ways to book a day off one with no phone, no laptop or looking at social media and not rushing to get out of bed, and let your family know that this is your day off and take yourself out on a date.
Get the kids do it: I do enjoy doing my sons dinner, but also like to have time off so depending on the age, and can use the oven, microwave and hob, then get them to make a meal or their own meal. This is not being mean, I just feel they need to be responsible and a essential skill is to know how to cook a meal. It is giving them more freedom.
Have a routine: So not being contradicting, but mean decide on what to drink, wear, listen to and watch and put up a do not disturb notice and make the time to have good old fashion “Me time”. This could be reading a book, going for a walk and tell family that you will be putting phone on silent and watch a TV Series. The programme I last watched was Outlaws on BBC iPlayer and was very funny and so looking for a new series to watch. I love a documentary and watched Lilly Allen Rags to Riches on Youtube and one thing I am dying to make when I have a day off, is homemade Nacho’s with the works. Guacamole, sour cream, salsa and a few chillies. So going to see if I can do this.
Meal for one. Do a meal for one and the Nacho’s could be it, but you can also buy yourself a steak dinner with a bottle of wine, as long as you drink safely and go to the cinema, or choose a movie at home and remember Ice Cream and popcorn if not doing Nachos.
Picnic season: This I love doing in the summer in the park with a coffee and going to use this time to write, or read a magazine.
A time to cleanse: I love my skincare regime and not just my face but other parts of my body and having a bath and hair wash. I like to use my Sundays to wash my hair whilst my son is still a sleep or watching his tablet, watching something with a cup of tea.
So look after yourselves and just enjoy the free time and just taking a break just for yourself can really help the mind and the body.
Many thanks for reading,
